Life’s Spiced Up with Some Werewolf Reads

Chapter 21 – Marked By The Demon Triplets

“So fucking tight,” I groaned, my eyes tightly shut. My moans came out in waves, and if I wasn’t careful, I’d get my brother’s attention. But it didn’t matter to me at that moment.

It took a lot to get me to make a sound during sex, as I was trained to bottle up my feelings, but here I was, moaning like a sixteen-year-old experiencing his first orgasm.

I half-screamed in pleasure when my cock started hitting her sweet spot. I suspended her legs in the air, allowing unrestricted access to the depths of her pussy. If I thought rubbing my cock on her was divine, then I was in paradise.

It didn’t take long before our orgasms rushed out in waves, and I rolled off her, exhausted. We lay there, gasping for breath after the intense session.

“Let me make us some food. I know you’re hungry,” I said, placing a kiss on her forehead before disappearing out of the room and into the kitchen.

I was about to crack the eggs I wanted to fry when I sensed a presence behind me. I turned to see Jasper’s surprised face staring at me.

“Since when do you cook?” he asked, pinning me with a pensive look.

“Since when did Ivy become my mate?” I replied boredly, proceeding to crack the eggs, but he stopped me in time.

“I don’t understand,” he said, confusion evident in his voice.

“Ivy and I had the best night without Devin and Dax. I’m cooking because she’s exhausted,” I sneered, hoping to hear his jealous remarks, but he sighed deeply instead.

“You don’t need to cook. Your food is waiting for you downstairs. And so are your drugs,” he said, shaking his head in pity.

“And Ivy? I want to make something, especially for her-“

“There is no Ivy, my king. You have to move on!” he yelled in frustration.

In a flash, his angry eyes softened as he looked at me with pity.

“I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have reacted that way. What you had wasn’t real. It was just a memory you shared. It didn’t happen. Ivy is dead. You’re not cooking for a dead person.”

He collected the utensils I held.

My face fell as realization hit me. No. I wasn’t in the mood to blame myself today. I couldn’t help but see her again in my mind. I missed her terribly. Maybe I should just take my drugs like Jasper instructed so I wouldn’t put him through the stress of reminding me that my mate was gone.

What was happening to me? Why wasn’t I healing?

I shut my eyes tightly, holding back the tears that threatened to fall. I didn’t want to appear weak.

“You have an urgent message from the Diamond Heart pack. They are facing a great attack that threatens to wipe out their existence and take over the pack. Alpha Stefan has asked if you could deploy your best soldiers to help him conquer his enemies,” Jasper narrated, holding the iPad firmly in his hands.

I was about to dismiss the matter when an idea popped into my head.

“Wasn’t the Diamond Heart pack the last pack I visited?” I asked, turning to Jasper.

An intrigued look settled on my face.

“Yes, my king,” he replied, eyeing me suspiciously.

“Wasn’t Stefan the one with that nasty bitch who tried to seduce me?”

But she wasn’t the one who had caught my attention. What was the other girl’s name? The one with those alluring silver-grey eyes.

Aury?

Aurora? Yes. Aurora.

Her strange eye color had held me spellbound. I had never seen anything so enchanting in my life.

A dark smile formed on my face as I thought of the conditions to give him. I was certain he had considered the consequences of turning to me for help because my conditions were always extreme. But this girl was a slave. I was sure he wouldn’t hesitate to part with her.

“Respond to him now. Tell him I will help on one condition: Aurora Gray becomes my property!”

Cloaked in fear, I could hear my father’s pulse pounding in his ears as sweat trickled down his forehead despite the air-conditioned room. Horror filled his eyes when his phone beeped for the second time, indicating a message from the Alpha King.

He tried to stay as still as possible to avoid drawing attention, but his teeth began to chatter in fear. I restrained myself from walking up to him to see the content of the message, as his fear started to spread to me like a contagious disease.

What could the Alpha King have asked that put my father in such a state? My father could withstand tough situations without blinking. The wound on his chest was evidence of that… but this strange message triggered his fear, resurfacing it and getting the best of him.

What does the King want?

Despite racking my brain to think of extreme conditions he might demand, I couldn’t come up with anything that would trigger such fear. Maybe he wanted my father’s pack. It was no secret that my father would lay down his life for his pack, but that alone didn’t seem enough to make him tremble like this.

Whatever the message was, I knew it couldn’t be good. His eyes shut in pain as he swallowed the bile rising in his throat when the third message popped up.

My dad’s notification sound was usually his favorite tune, but now I watched as it rapidly became his nightmare. Despite knowing he would love to ignore the message, he wouldn’t dare-not if he didn’t want to be on the Alpha King’s bad side.

His phone beeped again without him replying, and that meant trouble. Resigning to fate, his shaky hands brought the phone to his face, but no matter how much he tried, his expression wouldn’t unlock it.

One reason I hated phones with facial recognition.

It was almost funny how his mood ruined his expression to the point where his phone wouldn’t recognize him.

He typed in the pin, reading the message with tears glistening in his eyes. One wrong move, and they would spill over.

“Dad, is everything okay?” I asked, immediately mentally scolding myself. It was foolish to ask him that after seeing his reaction.

He clenched his jaw, blinking several times. “Everything is not okay.”

Fear gripped my heart at his confession. At that moment, I knew the message was unimaginably cruel and extreme. If it was my father’s pack the Alpha King wanted, he could have it. My father was a hardworking man, and building another pack wouldn’t be impossible for him, even if it took years.

“What-“

The rest of my words were cut off when the door opened, revealing my mother.

“Darling, are you feeling pain anywhere?” she asked, rushing to sit on the edge of the bed where he lay. Confusion washed over her face as she locked her gaze on me.

“What are you doing here? I thought you were supposed to be in your room having fun?” She tried to force a smile onto her worried face.

“She already knows,” my father’s weak voice interrupted her. “Save the pretense.”

“And now it’s gotten worse!” he lamented, heaving a deep sigh.

My mother’s face creased with worry as her hand met his firm jaw, stroking it tenderly.

“What happened?” she asked before turning to me. “Your father and I need to have a private discussion. Please, go to your room.”

What? No!

“Let her stay. This concerns her,” he said, stopping me from standing. He gave me a pitying look.

“Dad, are you okay?” I found myself asking again, my curiosity eating away at me. I couldn’t wait to know the reason for his reaction.

“We shouldn’t have gone with your idea,” he started, shaking his head slowly in regret.

The pride I had felt earlier crashed, leaving me lightheaded. I thought I had said something brilliant. Why did my dad make me feel stupid?

That was it. I was never going to interfere in anyone’s business again, be it the pack’s affairs or personal matters. Whatever was eating someone up could go ahead and consume them!

“What are you talking about?” my mum asked, her brows arched in confusion.

“Somehow, she found out that the pack was under severe attack and came to confront me about it. She offered her piece of advice, but it turned out to be a boomerang,” he said, turning to look at me with that same pitiful expression still plastered on his face.

“I warned you that the Alpha King’s conditions were extreme. We could have just stuck to the original plan of running away like cowards. At least that doesn’t involve anyone being taken away forcefully,” he said, emphasizing the last sentence. His gaze avoided my mother’s, which was now filled with questions.

Wait, what?

What did he mean by someone being taken away forcefully? Who did the Alpha King want to take?

“What do you mean by the last sentence?” my mother shot him a look, adjusting her sitting position.
