Callen moves first, crossing the small space between us. His hand settles against my back, big and steady. I lean into it instinctively, absorbing the heat of him.
“Come here,” Parker says, moving toward the couch and patting the space beside him.
For a moment I hesitate, but when Ryder pulls me gently to the couch, guiding me down to sit between his legs next to Parker. Callen sits on our other side, handing me a bar of milk chocolate and turning the TV on with the remote. Remy lingers a second longer, then huffs out a breath and lowers himself onto the rug at our feet, leaning back so his head rests on my knees. And somehow, it feels right.
Callen rests a hand on my thigh whilst he flicks through movie options, and Parker trails his fingers up and down my arm. Connected to all four of them like this, the bond hums with emotions that aren’t just mine… concern, protectiveness, relief, love. It’s overwhelming and calming all at once.
We don’t talk much after that. Everything that mattered has already been said. Instead, I just sit there in the middle of them, their warmth pressing in from every side as we watch some movie about a prince falling in love with someone his parents don’t approve of, which Callen insists is one of Remy’s favourites.
By the time my eyelids grow heavy, I realise this is exactly what I needed tonight. Ryder shifts just enough to press a kiss to my temple. I think maybe this messy, complicated, overwhelming love might be exactly what I’ve been waiting for.
I lose focus on the TV as sleep starts to pull me under, and then it hits.
The warmth starts low in my belly, a spark at first, then a slow roll of fire spreading outward until every nerve feels too awake. My skin prickles, my breaths come faster, and I know what it is before anyone says a word.
The heat is back, a hundred times stronger than before.
N.O Darling
Sorry just one chapter today as I’ve had a migraine all day. Thank you for your support and all your lovely comments!
** Paige’s POV **
I try to shift subtly, pressing my thighs together, but they notice.
Ryder’s arm tightens around me, his muscles tensing. He brushes his nose against my hair, and a low growl rumbles from his chest.
Callen stiffens at my side, his grip on my thigh tightening almost to the point of pain. His wolf flashes in his eyes, and I can tell it takes everything in him to stay controlled beside me instead of pulling me into his lap.
On my other side, Parker inhales deeply. His fingers grip mine, and he lifts my hand to his mouth, pressing his lips to it.
Remy goes still. Too still. His jaw clenched, as though he’s trying to stop himself from reacting.
The air in the room feels too thick and heavy with want and instinct. The bond thrums harder, urging us to get closer. I suck in a shaky breath as the fire in me grows until I can’t sit still anymore.
“It’s happening again,” I whisper, barely audible.
Four pairs of hungry eyes are on me, they look torn between instinct and restraint.
Ryder leans in, his voice low against my ear. “Tell us what you need, angel.”
The way he says it sends another shiver through me, making every inch of me burn with need.
I swallow hard, my voice breaking when I admit the truth. “I don’t think I can fight it this time.”
“You don’t have to,” Callen says, squeezing my thigh again, sending another pulse of need through me.
The fire racing under my skin demands release, it claws at every inch of me until I can’t think straight. My body aches, desperate for something, anything, and no amount of adjusting my position eases it.
“I need..”
Ryder doesn’t wait for me to finish. With some slight manoeuvring, his mouth claims mine in a kiss that’s hot and consuming, his growl vibrating against my lips. The moment his tongue slides against mine, my whole body jolts. I press my thighs together as another wave of heat crashes through me.
Parker’s hand finds my knee, sliding higher slowly until I gasp against Ryder’s mouth. His touch burns, his restraint crumbling as his thumb circles against the inside of my thigh.
Callen lets out a sound that’s almost a snarl, yanking me toward him the second Ryder eases back for air. His kiss is rougher, hungrier, stealing every ounce of breath from my lungs until I’m dizzy. His wolf is right there under his skin, demanding he claim me. I feel it in the desperate grip of his hands on my waist.
On the floor, Remy’s breathing has turned heavy. He doesn’t move closer, though. Flashes of his need crash into me through the bond as he tries to fight it.
I break away from Callen, panting, and whisper his name. “Remy…”
That’s all it takes. His eyes snap to me, blazing gold, and then he’s on his knees between mine, his hands gripping my hips. He leans forward to bury his face against my stomach, inhaling deeply, before letting out a guttural growl. The sound goes straight through me, my back arching as heat flares.
The bond feels like a living thing now, pulsing so powerfully it’s almost too much. Four wolves surrounding me, their hunger mixing with mine until it’s impossible to tell where my need ends and theirs begins.
“I can’t…” My voice shakes as I clutch at Ryder’s shirt, then Callen’s arm, then Parker’s wrist, where his fingers still tease my thigh. “I can’t hold it back.”
“Don’t fight it,” Ryder breathes, his mouth brushing my ear. “We’ll take care of you. All of us.”
Hands tighten and bodies close in. Remy’s teeth graze the soft skin just above my waistband, and I whimper.
I realise then what’s happening, why they’re holding back. It’s because of my freak-out earlier. Now they’re waiting for my permission whilst fighting their every instinct.
“Please, I want this, I want you all,” I finally say.
“Good girl,” Callen hums, his hand going straight to my waistband, helping Remy pull my pants off.
Ryder’s lips trail down my neck, his teeth grazing just enough to make me gasp. “Relax, we’ve got you.”
He pulls my hoodie over my head and then pushes my top up. His hands cup my breasts, and his thumbs brush over my n*****s until they harden under his touch. My back arches instinctively, pressing every inch of me to him. Remy pulls the fabric from my legs, and he spreads my thighs as heat rolls hotter, dripping through my core.
Callen lets out a groan. “f**k, look how wet she is for us already.”
I can’t think. I can’t stop myself. Every instinct, every nerve, is screaming for them all to connect with me, and for Callen and Parker to claim me.
I let out a moan of bliss as finally, someone touches me right where I need it, a hot mouth between my legs. I’m too far gone to guess who is touching me where now.
Someone’s tongue traces the curve of my jaw, teeth nipping lightly at the sensitive skin of my neck while the fire of my heat consumes my every rational thought.
“You feel that, don’t you?” Ryder whispers, his lips brushing mine again. “All of it. Every tremble of need. We feel it too, Paige.”
