“Do it, Parker, I want it,” I breathe.
His control breaks, and his mouth lowers to my neck, his teeth sinking into my skin without a second’s hesitation. The sharp sting quickly blossoms into a pleasure that floods my entire body. The bond snaps into place with brutal, breathtaking force. White-hot energy explodes through me, burning along every nerve, tying me to him in ways words could never explain.
When release crashes over both of us at the same time, it’s not just physical… it’s everything. A flood of love, desire, certainty. I swear I hear his wolf howl in victory in my mind, and through the bond I feel his pride, his devotion, his fierce, unshakable claim. The world blurs. There’s only the heat of him, the bond singing between us, the way our bodies and souls fuse together until I can’t tell where I end and he begins.
Parker collapses beside me, pulling me over with him, so I’m half on his chest and half on the bed. Both of us are gasping, trembling and overwhelmed. Parker’s chest heaves under mine, his hand still gripping mine like he’ll never let go, and the bond hums. It’s whole and unbreakable. My soul is now bound to all four of them.
I tilt my head up to look at him, and he catches my mouth with his, kissing me softly. It’s slower and tender compared to the fire from moments ago. “Finally,” he whispers against my lips, his voice raw. “You’re mine.”
I cup his cheek, smiling even through the tears. “Always.”
The room is quiet now, with only the soft crackle of the candles and the steady rhythm of Parker’s breathing as he holds me close. My body still hums, every nerve alive with the echo of what just happened, but it’s the bond that steals my breath. It pulses in my chest like a second heartbeat, a solid thread that binds me to him.
I can feel him now. Not just the heat of his body against mine, but his emotions spilling through. They’re warm, fierce devotion, and something so deep it makes more tears escape
:. my eyes.
“Don’t cry,” he whispers, brushing his thumb across my cheek. His voice is rough, but laced with tenderness. “You’ll undo me if you cry now.”
I laugh softly. “I can’t help it. It’s… it’s overwhelming.”
He leans his forehead against mine, his nose brushing mine in the gentlest nudge. “I know. I feel it too. Like I’ve been starving all these years and finally I get to breathe again.”
I tighten my arms around him, pressing closer. “Thank you for waiting until my heat passed; this feels like the right way.”
“Of course,” he says without hesitation. “Even when it drove me insane, even when I thought I couldn’t hold back anymore. You deserved this moment to be right. I’d have waited a lifetime if I had to.”
Mating with Callen in the throes of my heat was right for us, because that’s Callen, wild and unpredictable. But Parker is soft and sweet; this is exactly how it was supposed to be with him; it’s clearer than ever now.
“I finally feel you,” I whisper. “Inside me. It’s like… you’re part of me now.”
He kisses my head. “I am. Just as you’re part of me. Nothing can change that now.”
For a long while, we just lay there tangled together, skin on skin, the bond humming between us like a lullaby. He strokes circles on my hip with gentle fingers, grounding me as my body finally relaxes.
Eventually, he lets out a half-laugh. “I’m impressed Remy managed to hold himself back again.”
My eyes snap to his as realisation dawns on me. Ryder had mentioned Remy was struggling to stay away from me when things had got intimate with him. I hadn’t felt him this time though, or had I been too lost in Parker to notice? I focus on the connection I feel to him and smile when I sense how calm and completely relaxed he is, the same way Callen and Parker are right now.
“I think Callen might have distracted him,” I giggle.
“Makes sense,” Parker nods.
“Do you think you will struggle with that too now that we are bonded?” I ask.
Parker is silent for a moment, his eyes going distant before he shrugs. “I’m not sure; Rye and Callen don’t seem to have the same struggles, or not as intense at least. I’m not sure if that’s because they’re alpha’s so they’re naturally stronger in every way, or it’s just a control issue for Remy. I guess we will find out soon.”
“Do you want to shower and then test Remy’s control again?” I smirk.
The laugh that rumbles through him is low and satisfied, but his hold on me tightens, as though he never wants to let me go. “We’ve clearly been spoiling you in the bedroom,” he teases. “Give me five more minutes to hold you, and then we can shower.”
“I love you, Parker,” I say as I rest my head against his chest.
“I love you too, so much. I’ve been truly blessed to have you as my mate, and I’ll spend the rest of my life showing you just how grateful I am that you not only accepted me, but my grumpy brother too. You’re mine now, and nothing is ever going to take you from me.”
The words echo through the bond, fierce and unshakable, and I know with absolute certainty he’s right. I’m his, and he is mine.
** Paige’s POV **
Parker’s arms around me feel like home. Not just the pull of a bond, but something deeper, something real. With my mates, I don’t have to hide the pieces of myself I’d spent years tucking away. I can be fully me, and it’s met with warmth, not disapproval. With Greg, I became a show of myself, turning into someone unrecognisable just to keep the peace, just to keep him happy. But here?… Here, I am seen. I am accepted. I am claimed instead of coerced. I’m not controlled, but held in a way that lets me breathe, lets me be exactly who I’m supposed to be without apology. Finally, I understand the difference between love that cages you and love that frees you, and this is only the start.
My fingers trace the line of Parker’s jaw, memorising the feel of him.
“Thank you,” I whisper. “For being you, for being mine.”
He smiles, brushing a loose strand of hair from my face. “Always,” he murmurs, resting his forehead against mine. The bond thrums faintly between us, warm and insistent.
We don’t try to sleep yet. We simply lie together, exploring each other in gentle touches and quiet conversation. Every brush of his fingers over my arm or along my shoulder sends a shiver of connection straight to my chest. When he cups my face and kisses me softly, there’s no urgency; there’s only love, and the quiet joy of finally being together.
“I’ve waited so long for this,” he whispers against my lips. “For you.”
“I know,” I breathe, leaning into him. “Me too, even when I didn’t know it. I’ve always felt something was missing from my life, that something big was coming, and now I’ve finally found it.”
We spend the night like that; the bond pulsing softly between us. I feel him in ways I can’t fully describe. It’s more than love; it’s a tether to something eternal, something neither of us can ever deny.
Morning comes, and Jaxon’s laughter drifts from downstairs. I can’t help but grin. Parker wraps an arm around me, squeezing gently.
“He’s up early,” I say with a yawn.
Parker chuckles, kissing my shoulder. “Probably excitement from camping out.”
I shove one of Callen’s shirts on and head downstairs. I need coffee and a Jaxon cuddle before I shower and dress for the day.
I find Jax in the living room, perched on the couch, his little legs swinging. “Mum!” he shouts, running straight for me.
“Good morning, little man,” I say softly, pulling him into a hug. “How was camping?”
“So much fun! We toasted marshmallows and listened to the owls, and Dad showed me the star cancellations,” he beams.
Parker chuckles beside me while I suppress my laughter. “Star constellations are so interesting,” I correct gently. “Can you remember which ones you found?”
