I didn’t have time to prepare as he lowered himself and his nose hit my wet panties. I felt myself grow wetter as I heard him inhale deeply. My butt shot out from the ground when his tongue lashes out. The silk was too thin and I felt it everywhere. I felt my eyes roll back in my head as another growl escaped him before he took another taste of me.
“STOP. MOVInG.” He g*****d and to emphasize his point, he grabbed my thighs and held them in place. I swore I began to sob when he ripped my underwear with his teeth. I was writhing with need when he blew on me, it was cool and hot and I was dying for him to touch me there without anything between us this time.
My back arched off the ground the moment his finger touched my opening. Everything felt tight as my walls clamped around his huge middle finger.
Before I knew it I was thrashing from side to side and begging him for more.
“Tell me I’m the only one who’s seen here Isabella.”
I couldn’t speak; I couldn’t remember how to make my vocal chords work again.
I was panting when he lowered himself onto my body with his finger still deep inside of me.
My lips parted themselves when he pulled on my hair and faced me with his penetrating and hungry gaze. “I said tell me.”
Suddenly I didn’t want to make this easy for him. I wanted him to burn with jealously like I do for him. At least just this once.
“What if you aren’t the only one?” I teased, which was probably a dangerous thing to do right now.
A blackness covered his face and suddenly I was left regretting saying something like that.
He laughed then, totally surprising me. “There’s no way sweetheart. You’re too tight down there. You’re swollen and squeezing my finger, begging me for more. Your body has only ever known me. I can tell. Your body speaks to me. It says my name, cries out for me.”
“Then why did you ask?” I whispered.
“Because I want to hear you say it.” He said in a voice softer than mine.
I cried out when he pulled the finger out and pushed it back in with so much more force that I think I left the earth and came back down in those few seconds.
“no one has touched me before Hunter. no one has seen me naked. no one has seen my intimate parts. You’re my first for many things.” I confessed.
He wasn’t moving and when I opened my eyes I was shocked with the powerful look on his face. There was this hunger to him; he looked like a wolf ready to claim its prize. I shuddered at the intensity there and had to stifle a m**n. I could see how much he wanted me in those eyes, could see how much he wanted to pounce on me and take as much as I could give. And I wanted him to do all of those things and so much more.
“no,” he whispered suddenly. “I can’t … I won’t.” He looked like he was in shock and surprised by his actions.
What was he talking about?
To my horror he ripped his body away from mine. I was shocked and had to hug myself from the coldness of not having his body’s warmth again. His entire body was shaking and I had no idea why. He seemed to be fighting within himself. Was that what he was doing? Did he want to separate us so badly that he was fighting his own need for me?
“I’ll go find some clothes for us and get some transport. We’re going home.”
I clutched my chest, ashamed at what I’d just done. I’d given Hunter such a precious part of myself and he’d thrown it away just like that.
This was the last time I would ever let him get to me like that. I’d had enough!

The ride back home was extremely painful. I wouldn’t even look at Hunter and I planned on keeping it that way.
He’d touched my body so intimately and now he was back to being cold like nothing ever happened between us. This time I was extremely pissed and couldn’t hide it.
I should have never let him get so close to me. Why did I always do this to myself? I was so caught up in the moment and the fact that he’d done such a dangerous thing just to save me that I couldn’t control myself around him. I should have known better.
What was I thinking?
Mate. That’s what you were thinking.
I froze at my thoughts. This wasn’t the first time I’d heard it. I’d also heard it the moment his fingers had entered me. I was so lost in the feelings that I hadn’t realized until now.
What did this mean? Was Hunter really my mate? That would explain so many things. It would be the reason why I felt such strong feelings for him. It would also be the reason why I often felt so possessive towards him whenever I heard about Maggie and their past.
I wanted to glance at him. I wanted to scream it at him but I chose to hold it in. I didn’t want to let my guard down again. He’d hurt me enough. If I was indeed his mate, I wanted him to be the one to tell me. He needed to accept me as his before anything could possibly happen between us.
His acceptance was important. I would wait until that day.
The moment we pulled back up to the house I was surprised to see Hunter’s men all lined up and waiting for us.
“We have some news for your wife.” Dane said as soon as we stepped out of the vehicle.
“What is it?” I asked on alert. Did it have something to do with Esma? I hadn’t gotten around to telling Hunter everything I knew just yet and was waiting for the right time. He needed to get her some protection, more than he’d already sent out.
“James and Eden are holding a small ceremony for their wedding and would like you to attend.” He answered me.
My eyes widened and I wanted to scream with joy. Just hearing about my sister and her mate was enough to brighten my dampened mood.
“You’re not going anywhere.” Hunter said suddenly. His words were like water to my fire and I wanted to punch him for it.
