Life’s Spiced Up with Some Werewolf Reads

Chapter 257 – Mated To My Obsessive Stepbrother (Kester & Kasmine) Novel Free Online by Velvet Desires

She didn’t even have the time to die. She just… fell.

The rest of the girls gasped and shook with fear, but they dared not move.

I saw Alpha Kex pacing restlessly with his phone glued to his ear, dialing number after number. Sweat soaked his collar. And I could swear the oxygen in the room was too limited for him.

Something was definitely wrong.

Another girl screamed before dropping dead to the floor.

“We might need to stop doing business with Draco,” Nagel said casually, strolling past a weeping girl without sparing her a glance. “Looks like he’s run out of good products.”

And with that, he gutted the next one.

Wait. This was all normal to him? If he didn’t like them, why not let them go? Why waste people’s lives just because they aren’t up to your expectations?

God, I felt so sick to the stomach.

One of Nagel’s goons, who was built like a literal wall, leaned close to him and whispered something. Whatever it was, it made Nagel’s eyes light up like someone just told him dessert was ready. He nodded, and the brute headed for the locked door across the room.

Seconds later, he dragged out a girl who looked about my age.

She looked… innocent.

Her posture was quite elegant, even though the small, black dress she wore made her look a little like the kind of girl Nagel would approve of. Her skin was smooth, and her hair looked like just walked out of a salon. She looked a little bit calm, but I could still see fear through the cracks of her bravery.

One could mistake her for a model… beautiful to a fault. Her hypnotising blue eyes scanned the place as if she were looking for someone in particular.

How did such a beautiful girl who looked so full of life end up here? I felt pity for her because her life was about to take a sad turn.

Nagel sampled her like the “product” he actually saw her as.

He seemed a bit interested in this one.

“I heard you’re untouched, hm?” He said to the girl as his hands began to touch her in places I was so sure she didn’t like.

The girl whimpered. I knew it. She was only acting brave.

Maybe she thought acting brave would save her in this situation.

Poor girl.

“I’d like to be the first to touch you,” Nagel cracked a laugh before he added, “Let’s have a quick taste of you, shall we?”

The command didn’t need to be spoken twice.

Two of his men grabbed her and dragged her toward the torn-up couch dumped in the corner of the room.

I could feel her pain when she tried to struggle against their strong hold.

“Please. Help!” She screamed and I was moved to laugh.

“There is no help coming, sweetheart.’

Or… maybe I was wrong.

Maybe there was help coming after all. Because I knew for certain I wasn’t the only one who heard a thump just directly above us, followed by the clanking of metal.

And with the way Nagel and his men paused, they certainly weren’t expecting their business partners to arrive from the roof.

“What the fuck was…”

Nagel didn’t even get to finish when we all heard a loud blast and everything came crumbling to the ground like someone pulled the plug on gravity.

And suddenly, this hellhole had new visitors.

KESTER

Saint insisted we wait for his signal, but it was taking too fucking long.”

What if Kasmine gets hurt before we move?

Brie kept emphasising that Saint was never wrong

Said they had someone on the inside, who’d give us the exact go-ahead.

She kept repeating one damn word like a preacher doomsday sermon:

Timing.

Timing.

Timing.

She said Saint’s timing was everything. Not a second before, not a second after.

Okay. Okay, I calmed the fuck down.

She finally announced that we had sixty more seconds to go in.

My heart kicked into a full-on panic sprint. Norlan patted my back for emotional support. I wish that would stop me from combusting on the spot.

But… what the hell was happening?

Why did it seem like hell had just opened way too early? Why were Saint’s men already breaking in through the roofs, windows, everywhere?

What the hell?

“What the fuck is going on?!” I barked, spinning toward Brie. “What happened to Timing? We have thirty more goddamn seconds!” I sneered when I noticed something was terribly wrong.

Brie just muttered a ‘shit”, cocked her rifle, and pushed forward like a fucking terminator, leading her men inside.

Something was definitely wrong. I could bet my balls on that.

“Alpha gave the order. Just follow,” she said over the sounds of gunshots ringing everywhere around us.

Fuck.

Kasmine.

I ran in with my instincts boiling over.

I knew it. Something was not right.

This wasn’t looking like a rescue mission anymore. This was a fucking warzone.

I let Zeth share control, our rage syncing like clockwork. A loud, thunderous roar tore through my throat.

I gutted down as many men as dared to step in my way with my claws. Saint and his men had guns with bullets made of silver. I could use one if I wanted.
