I was screaming for help as Alpha Troy grabbed my wrists and started to chain me to the wall
“PLEASE, I’M SORRY!” I shouted in fear as my entire body began to shake “I’M SORRY!”
“SHUT THE F*CK UP!” Alpha Troy yelled and slapped me hard in the face and splitting my lip before he chained my other wrist “I AM SICK OF TELLING YOU TO FOLLOW MY F*CKING ORDERS YOU UNGRATEFUL B*TCH!”
He picked up the whip and dipped it into a bucket of liquid and cringed in pain so I knew there was wolfsbane in the water
“YOU WANTED TO ME KILL A LITTLE GIRL!” I screamed and tried to free my wrists but nothing helped ‘YOU’RE A MONSTER!”
“I DON’T CARE HOW OLD SHE WAS!” He rose the whip and brought it down hard over my back and I screamed in agony “YOU BELONG TO ME AND YOU WILL LEARN TO DO AS YOU’RE TOLD”
He hit me again and once more I screamed and cried as my shirt ripped and blood started to flow down my back
“IF YOU KEEP DEFYING ME I WILL F*CKING KILL YOU!”
He hit me again, over my back, my legs, my arms and I cried and screamed the whole time until I passed out
END OF DREAM
I woke up in a panic like the passed few nights and felt a thin layer of sweat over my skin but Koda comforted me and gently rocked me back to sleep, I felt so guilty for waking him up again
KODA’S POV
When I woke up to the sound of my alarm, I realised Maddie wasn’t in the bed with me and quickly sat up in a panic, had I pushed her to far last night by forcing her to show us her scars? Had she run off?
I climbed out of bed and raced down the hall, following her scent but when I saw her in the kitchen chatting with Julia and cooking, I relaxed.
“So he doesn’t like baby spinach?” Maddie asked as she mixed what looked like a bowl of eggs
“Not in his scrambled eggs” Julia answered as she cut up some mushrooms
Were they talking about me? I didn’t like cooked baby spinach.
“But he’ll eat it in a salad or sandwich” Julia went on
“Oh, okay”
I smiled, Maddie wanted to know about my likes and dislikes, why did that make me so happy?
I cleared my throat and the girls jumped a little bit Julia quickly lowered her face and I realised I was in my boxer briefs…cr*p
Maddie on the other hand blushed bright red and nearly dropped the bowl she was holding.
“Sorry” I smiled but I actually enjoyed her reaction “I forgot my robe, I just… I couldn’t find you and got worried but I’ll go shower and dress”
I laughed internally at myself, how stupid of me to think she’d run away.
After a quick shower, I pulled on a casual suit, I hated dressing like this and tried to get away with being as informal as possible.
By the time I’d returned to the kitchen, breakfast was ready and it smelt amazing.
“You are free to clean the room now” I informed Julia who bowed and left.
“Thanks for your help!” Maddie called out after her.
I walked around the table to my mate who was dressed in a black knee length dress with gold embroidery around the waist and up over the breast area which made her heavy chest stand out and drew my eyeline.
I wrapped my arms around Maddie’s waist and pulled her in for a long lingering kiss.
“Good morning baby” I said once I let go of her soft lips
“Morning” She smiled “Are you hungry, I made breakfast for us”
“That’s really sweet of you but you know Julia can do that, you’re not a cook”
“I know” She said and pulled on my arm to make me sit, which I did “I couldn’t sleep and wanted to distract myself”
“Did you have another nightmare?”
I was getting a little worried about her constant nightmares and wondered if I should speak with one of our healers.
“No” She shook her head and passed me a cup of delicious smelling coffee “I was worried about the council meeting, I.. I don’t want to talk to that many people, can’t you just tell them that I don’t want Scott?”
Maddie sat down beside me and I took her hand in comfort.
“I’m so sorry Maddie but I can’t” I told her “You have to be the one to do it or the council will think Jax and I have forced you”
“Okay”
“It will be over quickly, I promise”
“Will Jax be there too?”
“No, he’ll still be locked up” I answered and looked over the food on the table, she’d really cooked up a storm this morning “But he should get released around the same time the meeting ends so I’ll bring you home to meet up with him and you guys can finally have your first official day together”
“Okay” She said but this time she seemed happy “Do you think they fed him this morning, should we send some food for him to eat?”
I laughed, she was so cute!
“He’s a prince baby” I reminded her “Locked up or not, he’s eating well, I promise you”
Maddie gave me a strange look and picked up her fork
“Do they take good care of prince Fenrir too?”
I paused for a moment as I reached for some sausages on a large green plate.
“I guess” I answered and took a few of the sausages and unloaded them onto my plate before grabbing some of the eggs “Not that he deserved it”
“He was the first werewolf, wasn’t he?”
I looked over at her with wide eyes, my family had kept a lid on that secret for decades, how did she know that?
“Yes” I admitted “But we don’t advertise that fact, who told you?”
She looked uncomfortable and started moving food around her plate.
“It was in my mothers diary”
