“Perfect” I smiled, I’d have time to get changed and go to the meeting “Thanks”
I headed out of the prison and rushed home to the tower and into our suite for a quick shower but Julia stopped me
“Your majesty?” Julia called out as she came down the hall and bringing the smell of soap with her, she must have been doing laundry
“Yes, it’s me” I answered “I’ll just be changing and going to meet up with Madelyn, throw out the clothing I wore in the prison, I have no interest in seeing them again”
“Yes sir” She nodded and passed me a small box “This came for you and Alpha Koda”
“Who’s it from?”
“There was no note” She told me “It was delivered by a messanger”
“Thank you”
I looked down at the box as I headed to the bedroom but paused and closed my eyes as I happily took in a deep breath and smelt my girls lingering scent
Once I’d taken my fill, I sat down on the bed and opened the box, inside was a phone and a note, what?
I picked up the note and read “Madelyn won’t give him up” It said “She’s too afraid, look at the video’s, it’s the proof you need, keep him away from her… Keeper”
Keeper? Who the hell is Keeper, I didn’t know anyone with the idiotic name.
I placed the note back in the box and lifted the mobile, it was on and I went into the video settings
There were 3 video’s of Madelyn at various ages, all younger than her current age, each video had been taken in secret from a window and a large tree and from behind a bookshelf.
The video through the window showed Madelyn being drowned in a bucket of what looked like water in a dark shed and when she was pulled back out, her face was burning.
There must have been silver or wolfsbane in the water.
Her attacker was out of frame for a moment, but then I saw that is was Troy, and he started screaming at Madelyn about disobeying his orders while she cried and screamed and begged him for mercy but he just shoved her down in the water again.
I had never felt rage like this before and I wanted blood, I began to pace around the room as my heart raced and my claws came out, especially during the part in the video when it sounded like the person filming was getting off on the torture.
I growled and skipped to the next video being taken from the bookshelf and I saw Madelyn cleaning a study when Troy came in and grabbed her by her wrist and shoved her against the wall
‘Ouch’ She cried out and looked up at the Alpha
‘What have I told you about keeping your mouth shut!’ Troy shouted while his other hand wrapped around her throat ‘Morgan’s asking questions about the trip now, f*ck up again and I will rip your f*cking claws off again!’
‘I’m sorry’ Madelyn began to cry, which ripped my heart out ‘I didn’t mean to, I thought she knew’
‘SHUT UP!’ Troy slammed her against the wall and left while Madelyn slipped down the wall and pulled her knees up and cried into them, the video continued while she cried before shutting off.
‘How did Keeper get these videos?’ I asked Knox who wasn’t talking back, he was losing it in my mind ‘How long did he have them?’
I took a deep breath and pressed play on the final video, Madelyn was in the woods reading a book while her pervert stalker filmed her from a nearby tree.
She was wearing jeans and a large old looking shirt with a few holes but otherwise she looked just a beautiful as ever except for a bruise on her cheek.
There was a noise nearby and Madelyn cringed and looked around as Alpha Troy came through the tree’s and Madelyn looked scared for a second before her face went blank, was she trying to hide her fear on purpose?
‘I TOLD YOU TO MEET ME AT THE BORDER AT 10!’ Troy shouted as Madelyn stood up
‘AND I TOLD YOU NO!’ She shouted back
I was surprise that she’d stood up to him but I was very proud of her.
‘I’M NOT HURTING ANYONE ANYMORE!’ She went on ‘I HATE YOU, YOU’RE A MONSTER, I WOULD RATHER DIE THEN HELP YOU ANYMORE!’
‘DIE?’ Troy shouted and grabbed her by her throat, he shoved her against a tree and punched her in the stomach ‘YOU THINK I’LL LET YOU DIE?!’ He punched her again ‘I WILL NEVER LET YOU DIE!’ Another punch, this time causing Madelyn to spit up blood as she cried in pain ‘YOU BELONG TO ME AND YOU WILL DO WHAT YOU’RE TOLD’ One more punch to her stomach and I heard something snap, did he just break one of her ribs? ‘DEFY ME AGAIN AND I WILL KILL EVERY CHILD IN THE ORPHANAGE, YOU WILL BE AT THE BORDER IN ONE HOUR!’
Troy punched her again before shifting and running away while Madelyn crumbled on the dirt and cried, I felt tears falling down my face as I watched her.
After a few minutes, Madelyn crawled over to a tree and touched it, she closed her eyes and I watched in shock as the tree died but Madelyn’s injuries began to heal but then the video cut out
I couldn’t breathe, I was beyond furious.
“Liam!” I shouted through the link to one of our head warriors “I want Alpha Troy from Calco pack arrested and brought to the prison NOW!”
“Yes Alpha” He said quickly and I cut the link.
We had a list of all guest’s and where they were staying, so I didn’t bother to tell him which hotel he was staying in.
I growled and threw the phone onto the bed before going to shower.
I wanted to track Troy down myself but I knew I couldn’t, I had to stay out of it until my father would allow myself and Koda to kill Troy.
I couldn’t wait to take the throne, no longer would I be subject to my father’s law, I could do what the f*ck I wanted.
Luckily, after tonight, Madelyn would be marked and so our coronation would be taking place in one month’s time.
Once I’d showered and dressed, I threw my old clothes in the bin for Julia to take out and was heading out of the bedroom when Liam linked me back with the news that Troy had left the city.
Apparently he’d had a huge fight with his wife in front of the staff and checked out
“Go to his pack and drag him back and I want him alive!”
“Yes your majesty”
“And the son too”
“He didn’t leave the city” Liam told me “But he hasn’t been back to the hotel, I will leave guards posted to arrest him the second he returns”
“Good” I nodded to myself and cut the link.
I then linked my father the news, he was annoyed that I’d interrupted the meeting and furious that I’d acted before speaking to him and then cut the link with me which only angered me more.
I needed to calm down before seeing Madelyn, so I went to my studio ‘Julia, I don’t want to be distrurbed’ I barked at her when we passed in the hallway
‘Yes sir’
MADELYN’S POV
“Come on”
Koda pulled me into the throne room and I felt extremely nervous as we passed several men and women all sitting on comfortable looking chairs on the ground below the King and Queen.
