“Haven’t you fed her today?” Koda snapped at his brother while I blushed.
“Of course I have” He responded and picked up my plate.
He began filling it with roast vegetables, gravy, roast duck and lamb, a few rolls and garlic bread and was adding some other items when I held up my hands.
“That’s good” I told him “I’m not an alpha, I don’t eat as much as you two”
Koda laughed and continued to add things to his own plate, which was already overflowing.
“Wait until you go through your first heat” He commented, and I nearly choked on the wine I’d just taken a sip from “Women eat twice as much as an alpha during that time to bulk up”
Jax patted my back as he placed my plate down and glared at his brother.
“What?”
“You are such an id*ot” Jax told him before picking up his own plate “Did it ever occur to you that she isn’t comfortable talking about her heat’s with us yet”
I blushed, was this conversation really happening? I’d never once heard anyone discuss this subject at a dinner table, I couldn’t even remember a time when I’d heard Alpha Troy or Luna Morgan talk about it at all.
There were very few things werewolves and Lycans had in common, but heat’s were one. Women would go into their heats only after being marked, and for me, that was happening tonight.
“We’re her mates” Koda argued as he picked up a fork “If she can’t talk to us about it, who can she?”
“Can we please change the subject”
“No” Koda turned to me “Now that we’re on the subject, we should discuss it, it’ll happen at any time after we meet, so we should be prepared, we need to make a decision on children”
I froze and looked at Koda with wide concerned eyes but the jerk seemed so at ease as he scooped up some mashed potato and popped it into his mouth
Jaxson rubbed his face and exhaled “Just ignore him sweetheart” He told me and touched my arm “We will talk about this when you’re ready”
“Why are you being difficult” Koda complained and pointed his fork at his brother “You know this is something we all need to get on the same page about and our family are going to bring it up after they see we’re marked, so we need an answer for them, Maddie, you do want children don’t you?”
Both men looked at me and I hesitated and began moving some peas around my plate “I um..” I stuttered and avoided their eyes ‘I’ve never let myself think about it, I didn’t grow up like the two of you, I never had a family, but… but I do want children, I think I’d like a big one”
“Really?” Koda said happily and exchanged a look with Jax.
“You’re sure” Jax asked and touched my arm again.
“Yes” I nodded “I grew up alone, and I really want a big loud home”
“So do we” Koda lent over and kissed me excitedly “We have always wanted a tone of kids, I can’t wait”
“So for your first heat?” Jax asked cautiously “What would you like to do?”
“I thought you didn’t want to talk about this?” Koda asked smugly, but Jax growled playfully and threw a warm bun at him
“Shut it” He said before turning back to me “Sweetheart, do you want to start our family right away or to wait?”
“Can we wait?” I asked nervously, but I noticed both of their faces fall “Just for a little while, this is all new for me and my whole life has changed, I just need to get used to this new normal before I add children to the mix”
“We understand” Koda told me “We’ll just use birth control during your first heat”
“Okay” I sighed in relief.
“We’ll have to keep an eye out for when you start nesting” Jax commented and I blushed.
Nesting was an odd thing. Women would start to create dens in areas of their homes that made them feel safe and secure, so it was a dead give away that the heat was going to start.
“Then we’ll get one of the healers to give you the drug” He continued.
“Well kids aside” Koda commented as the roll he’d caught “I still can’t wait for your heat, Cole slept with a girl during her heat once and said it was the best f*ck of his life, even though she pretty much clawed up his back”
“You’re an id*ot” Jax laughed, but his eyes swept over my body “Though I can’t wait to see our girl begging for it”
I choked again, and the boys laughed once more while Jax patted my back once more to help me out
“Maybe we should change the subject now” Jax suggested.
Thankfully, Koda didn’t argue this time, and we continued to eat and chat, but as we reached the end of our desert and the twins started making remarks about moving to the bedroom, I began to pick at the plate nervously
“Are you nervous sweetheart?” Jax asked when I changed the subject to finish dinner again
I looked down “A little”
“Is there anything you want to know about what to expect?” Koda asked “Would that help you feel more at ease?”
“I can’t ask you about this”
“Wrong” Jax corrected me “Me and Cody are the only ones you should be asking about s*x and judging by your reaction, you clearly have questions, so spill”
I bit my lip and peeked back up at them.
“Well.. I was wondering” I hesitated “When you guys mentioned double penetration, how would that work, did you mean using… both holes at once?”
“Yes” Jax answered easily “But also inside your v*gina at the same time too”
My eyes widened again “But.. would you both fit?”
Koda pressed his lips together and tried not to laugh “Baby, women give birth, two c*cks will fit”
“Oh, I hadn’t thought about that”
“It’s not something you have to worry about” Jax told me “We won’t do it tonight, you’re nowhere near ready”
“Okay”
“You are so adorable” He cupped my face “You really have no idea what we’re going to do to you tonight, do you? But don’t worry, we’ll go slowly”
“Okay”
“Lets go” Koda stood up and reached his hand out, and I nervously took it.
KODA’S POV
I held Maddies hand while Jax covered her eyes and together we walked her into the beautifully smelling room, Julia had filled with gorgeous blue flowers.
She’d done an amazing job and I made a mental note to by her a thankyou gift.
