“I figured I’d try” She shrugged and yawned “I still feel so weak, we I really sleeping for 3 years?”
“Yes”
“Wow!” She jumped off the bed and laid down in front of me “So you were alone all that time?”
“Yes” I nodded sadly “And to answer your other question, our mates aren’t guards, they’re prince’s”
“Really!” She sat up and wagged her tail “So.. we’re princesses!”
“Actually we are even without our mates”
“What do you mean?”
I quickly explained about our mother and who she was to the King and that she hadn’t abandoned us but rather, died trying to protect us.
“But..Alpha Troy said her body was gone when he returned to the woods” Ava pointed out “She could be alive still”
“If she is then she really did abandon us” I countered “Not exactly nice options, she either abandoned us or died, not sure which I’m hoping for”
“I wonder who was hurting her?” Ava commented thoughtfully
“I have one of her old dairies” I told her “I’m not sure if it’ll have any information that will help but you never know”
I heard another loud explosion and my heart sank, it sounded alot closer then the first one so I knew my mates were okay, they were blocks away
“Do you think this kind of thing happens all the time?” Ava asked as she curled up and closed her eyes.
“I hope not” I answered and watched her breathing slow “You should try and sleep, I’ll try to wake you when our mates come back”
“Okay” She responded and the smoke forming her body vanished, leaving me alone again.
I decided to go and get a glass of water and settled down with my mother’s diary to continue reading it while I waited for the twins, but when I was leaving the kitchen, I heard some strange loud bangs from the hallway.
What?
I walked towards the noise and pulled open the front doors to ask the guards what they were doing, but as I pulled open the door, someone shoved against the door and it hit me in the face and twisted my wrist, causing me to drop the glass that shattered on the ground.
I screamed in pain and fell back and held my head as my eyes watered, but then, before I could even realize what was happening, I got a hard punch in the stomach and I fell forward and threw up.
“YOU F*CKING C*NT!” I heard Scott shout as I looked up from the ground
He looked furious and his face looked beyond reason, his claws were out and covered in blood and I quickly crawled away from him but my back hit the wall, blocking my exit
“YOU RUINED MY LIFE!” Scott screamed as he came over to me
Where were the guards? I wanted to call for help but years of beatings and abuse had conditioned me to know that asking for help didn’t work, no help ever came.
I cursed myself for not letting my mates mark me, if I had, then I could speak with them through the link and they’d come help me, or at least I hoped they would.
“YOU KILLED MY MOTHER!” Scott grabbed me by the throat and lifted me to my feet while I struggled and gripped his wrist and tried to push him away
“YOU FATHER KILLED HER!”
“BECAUSE OF YOU B*TCH!” He slammed me into the wall and my head hit it hard “ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT BUT YOU COULDN’T EVEN DO THAT YOU SELFISH B*TCH!”
He shoved me into the wall again and this time, I felt my skull crack, and I was filled with a burning pain but I couldn’t focus on the pain right now because I was already finding it hard to breathe
“GET OFF ME!” I tried to sound strong but we both knew I wasn’t, not without my powers
Scott laughed humorously in my face “MAKE ME!”
I grabbed his wrist and closed my eyes to build up the power and I let out a blast of electricity, a power I’d been born with but could never fully control. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t but I was glad now was one of the times it worked because Scott fell backwards and I fell to my knees gasping for air but each breath caused sharp stinging pains down my throat
“I’LL F*CKING KILL YOU!” Scott had risen from the ground holding his burn arm
I tried to get up and run but he grabbed my hair and pulled me back, causing a chunk of hair to be ripped from my head, I screamed in pain and fell to the ground again but I noticed from the side of my eye that the white smoke was forming again but Scott hadn’t noticed as he climbed over me and punched me in the face
“I HATE YOU!” Scott shouted and punched me in the face again and everything started going dizzy “YOU WERE MINE, YOU BELONGED TO ME” Another punch but this time to the side of my chest and I screamed “AND I’M GOING TO HAVE MY FUN BEFORE I KILL YOU!”
Scott began to rip my dress as he pulled it up to my waist, the whole time I was struggling and screaming but he overpowered me
‘STOP!” I screamed pointlessly as I wept in fear
I screamed and tried to fight him off as his claws dug into my inner thighs and tried to pry them open ‘STOP FIGHTING B*TCH!’ He shouted and punched me in the face, busting my lips ‘YOU’RE MY MATE, YOU F*CKING OWE ME, I SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO F*CK YOU, STOP PRETENDING THAT YOU DON’T WANT MY C*CK, YOU’VE ALWAYS WANTED IT, BEG FOR IT AND I’LL LET YOU LIVE!”
“NEVER!”
I thrust up my knee and made contact between his legs and he growled and grabbed my throat and started choking me
“I DON’T NEED YOU TO BE ALIVE TO HAVE MY FUN!” His eyes were completely crazed now and I was terrified as I gasped for the small amounts of air I was getting “SO STOP FIGHTING!”
While the struggle was going on, Ava had finally reformed in the white smoke and she growled at Scott, she couldn’t touch him as she was just smoke but it was enough to frighten him and he fell backwards, I went to get up and run but I was to weak and everything went black
UNKNOWN POV
Madelyn’s eyes began to glow golden as flames erupted over over skin, almost like another layer of skin and Scott’s eyes widened in fear and he crawled backwards away from her with one hand up
‘Wait, please Maddie, I’m sorry’ He sounded so pathetic and weak ‘I’ll go to jail, please!’
Madelyn reached over and grabbed Scott’s throat and despite his taller height, she still held him up above her own body, lifting him as if he weighed no more then a feather.
‘It’s a little to later for that now boy!’ Madelyn’s voice was different and Ava cowered and her tail fell under her body
‘Please, I’m sorry, I didn’t meant to hurt you, I just lost control!’
‘Goodbye Scott’
Madelyn’s hand erupted into flames Scott screamed in agony as his entire body burnt to a crisp before Madelyn threw him aside as if he was nothing
‘Who are you?’ Ava asked nervously as Madelyn turned her head and stared down at Ava
‘I’m who Maddie will become’ She said and held her finger to her lips ‘Shhh… that’s a good pup and go to sleep, you’ll forget all about meeting me when you wake, you and Maddie are not ready for me yet’
JAXSONS POV
By the time we reached the building, all hell had broken loose.
Pack members and tourists were running away from the building in panic while others gathered around watching the horror unfold.
