“But she hasn’t molted yet’ I pointed out ‘So would the blood work?”
“Let’s hope not” Dad responded “Do you know if he knows the correct potion to make the wolves?”
“I don’t think so” Maddie shrugged “But, I didn’t know he was making one”
“He probably knows now that Fenrir’s with him though” Jax commented
“Not nessessarily” Dad shook his head “I always got the feeling that Iyo never shared it with him, it’s probably why Troy finally broke him out”
“Troy’s also been the one killing all of the Alpha’s” Jax admitted and everyone in the room looked worried so I quickly explained about him forcing Maddie to take peoples powers to give to Troy
“We suspected it was him” Mom told us “But… to have it confirmed, this is terrible”
“I’m sorry” Maddie looked down in shame “I didn’t want to, I understand if you want to lock me up or”
“NO!” Jax’s and I shouted together
“SHE IS NOT BEING PUNISHED FOR SOMETHING HE FORCED HER TO DO!” Jaxson shouted
“We will discus it with the council’ My mother told us ‘But ultimately, it will be up to your father”
“No, it will be up to us” He said as he smiled at her..gag “But I want to know everything, every Alpha, every power and everything else you know about what he’s got planned”
“I’ll tell you everything I know” Maddie sound shocked but relieved and for the next twenty minutes, she told our parents about every time he’d forced her to take a gift from someone and the times he’d forced her to kill while Jax and I held her hands
“I can’t believe we missed his intentions all these years’ Cole said nervously once Maddie fell silent “I’m going to go check on the patrols, the sooner we find him and Fenrir the better”
“Good, keep me informed” Our dad ordered
“Yes your majesty”
“Ryker, go speak with the dragon representative” Our mother ordered “See if they can send out air patrols to find him”
“On it” He bowed before turning to Maddie “If… if you’d like to speak privately about your mother, I’d be happy to talk to you about her and answer any questions”
“Why would I trust anything you have to say” Maddie surprised me by saying angrily and turning away from him
“For what it’s worth” Ryker said sadly “I never meant to hurt her, I love her still”
He turned and walked out of the office and we were left alone with our parents.
“We need to keep Maddie protected” Our mother commented “We have doubled the guards around the city and she needs to start fight training”
“We already discussed that” I told her
“You have?” Maddie asked in surprise
“Yes” Jax nodded
“Did it occur to you both to include me in that conversation”
“Sorry sweetheart” Jax smiled “Nothing was set in stone, we were just talking but either way, you need to learn to fight, we are organizing a female instructor for you”
“She’ll also need to check her temperature everyday” Dad told us “If it goes up, we need to know about it and no one can know about her being a hybrid”
“If I’m a hybrid” Maddie corrected
“It’s just a possibility” Mom agreed “But we don’t think we’re wrong”
“What will happen to Ava if I molt?”
“As far as we know, nothing” Our father answered “Your mothers Lycan was fine”
“Do you know her name?”
“Azula”
“How beautiful” Maddie smiled
“Are we still keeping Ava’s color a secret too?” I asked
“For now, yes” Dad nodded
“Okay” Maddie nodded and leaned against Jax’s shoulder
“Madelyy, I would like to see your mothers diaries” Dad said gently and she sat up quickly
‘Um.. I dont know if you want to see them” She said cautiously “She wrote about you and…um.. she wasn’t that nice about you”
“I expect that’s the case” He smiled “But I still want to see, it may have so clues that will help us find Fenrir”
“Okay” She agreed “But, I’d like them back please”
“Of course dear” Mom smiled “We should take a break here, there’s still alot we need to talk about but I think we should let Maddie digest everything we’d spoken about before we add more”
“Theres more?” Maddie asked nervously but my mother just smiled.
“We’ll talk more later”
“We should get started on the budget for the troops” I said without an ounce of excitement, I’d rather be out there fighting with the troops, not worrying over money for food and armor and accomodation for them.
“Sound like a world of fun” Jax rolled his eyes
We all bowed to our parents and left their office, we ran into our grandmother and Evet, great, just what Maddie needed after all this information
“Ah, finally” Our grandmother clapped happily as she grabbed Maddie’s shoulders “Finally, she is marked, now I can throw the party”
“Party?” Maddie said nervously but Evet laughed
“What party?” Jax asked
“Her introduction party silly” She told our mate “Granny has been organizing it since she first met Maddie and now we can set a date”
“The party will be tomorrow during lunch” Grandmother announced
“But Granny, that’s not enough time for the staff to get everything done”
“If its not than they’re all fired” Grandmother announced “Evy, take her shopping and make sure she picks something appropriate”
