Luckily, Nora’s powers forced the witches back, and they left with their dead King, who Nora had killed during the fight.
Nora rushed back to her lovers, who were dying with their wolves whining sadly over their bodies.
Nora did all she could to save them, but her powers were not healing powers, and she could do nothing to save them, in one last ditch effort to save her loves, she remembered a sacrifice spell she’d learned in the starlight Coven, a life for a life.
The twins refused to let her take her own life to save them, and she fell into despair once more, until a blinding light consumed her.
Nora shielded her eyes from the light, holding her arm over them, when she was a beautiful figure made of light itself. This figure was that of a woman, and when she spoke it sounded like music and comfort.
The women told Nora of an alteration to the spell, one that made it possible to use the wolves, and handed her a vile of blood.
“Who are you?” Nora asked, as she took the blood “Are you the goddess?”
The women smiled, and the light faded, leaving Nora alone once more.
She didn’t let herself dwell on what just happened, she had a mission and after speaking with the wolves, they agreed to the plan.
They would transfer their essences into the men to save them, but after the spell was performed, the wolves died and the men survived.
The guilt made it hard for the man to move on, but one month after the sacrifice, the men began to hear voices. They thought they were going crazy, but then one evening during a full moon, they shifted.
And the first Lycans were created. The goddess had intended to create our race, she wanted us to exist.
Months passed by, and the men learned to control their Lycan’s that belonged to their lost dire wolves.
When Nora’s wolf grew older and looked as if she would not have long in this world, Nora performed the spell again and joined with her own wolf.
After the joining, a strange connection formed between all three witches and the first mates were formed.
Together they had children and each child would shift upon their 21st year as their mother had

When we heard a noise from outside the fort, Koda closed the book.
‘What are you two doing?’ We heard Jaxson’s voice and I felt my heart start to beat quickly.
I peeked out of the fort and saw him pulling off his jacket and looking confused.
‘JAX!’ I crawled out of the opening and rushed over to him and wound my arms around his tight body
JAXSON’S POV
I was still furious about what Madelyn had been through today but focused on work until finally, the day was up and I eagerly returned home.
I could hear Koda reading loudly from his library and I frowned “Why is he reading a children’s book?” I asked Knox who rolled over and went back to sleep. He clearly couldn’t care less, stupid lazy Lycan.
I went into the library and froze. What the hell was going on?
“What are you two doing?” I asked in confusion when Madelyn popped her head out a small doorway made of sheets and her long hair fell over her shoulder
“JAX!” She crawled out and came straight to me and hugged me
I held her close and breathed in her scent ‘I missed you, how are you feeling?’
“She’s fine” Koda answered and came out of the fort
I glared at him “I was asking Madelyn, not you” I snapped, I was still furious at him for getting my girl hurt
Madelyn looked at us with a frown “Are you mad at Koda?”
“Don’t worry about it” I kissed her nose “So, how are you feeling?”
“A lot better”
“It’s amazing what an afternoon of s*x can do” Koda smiled at her and brushed her hair back but I pulled her closer and growled at him “Jax, cut it out”
‘Scr*w you’ I snarled and picked up Madelyn’s hands to look at them ‘Is the sealant still working?’
‘Yes, Koda reapplied it for me” She smiled “Why are you angry at him? If it’s about Blake, it wasn’t his fault, he”
I kissed her to stop her defending my id*ot brother ‘Enough, I told you not to worry about it’ I told her ‘Have you eaten yet, I’m starving, do you feel up to eating out this evening or would rather stay in?’
“We can go out” She said happily
“Are you sure that’s a good idea?” Koda asked “She’s healing and word would have gotten out about the girls being imprisoned and they will be gossiping”
“Wait, what?” Madelyn asked as she looked from me to Koda “You locked them up?”
“Of course we did” I growled
“But you just said they were being punished” She looked at Koda with tears in her eyes “You didn’t say they’d been locked up?”
“We’re not talking about this Madelyn” I gripped her chin and looked into her eyes “Koda and I are in charge of your safety and whether you like it or not, we will punish those who harm you, in fact, if I were King, I’d have killed them and if you can’t handle that, then I’m sorry but you need to find a way to come to terms with it because it’s not going to change”
“Alright, she gets it” Koda growled and pulled her away “Get away from her”
“Don’t f*cking order me around Koda!” I snapped “This entire situation is your fault, you’re lucky I don’t knock you out!”
“You can try!” Koda yelled back ‘But you’ll end up with a”
“ENOUGH!” Madelyn shouted and pulled away from Koda
Koda and I stepped back in surprise and stared down at our tiny mate who right now had us both cowering with her glare
“I DON’T LIKE YOU FIGHTING OVER ME!” She went on and stomped her foot “I DON’T LIKE YOU FIGHTING AT ALL!”
“Okay” Koda said quickly and rubbed his hands up and down her arms in comfort “We’re sorry, don’t get upset”
“I’m sorry sweetheart’ I said quickly, hating that I’d upset her after such an awful day
“Make up!” She ordered
“Done” I told her, damn, she has me wrapped around her fingers and what bothered me, was that I didn’t care “We’re all good”
Madelyn squinted suspiciously at me “Okay”
