Maddie blushed lightly, and headed straight to the table, where she sat down, and started eating, but I guess her food wasn’t enough, because she frowned from her plate to mine
She took the bagel. I’d only taken a bite from, I never allowed anyone to take my food, not even Jax, but it didn’t even faze me when Maddie did it.
I watched as she placed it on her plate, but didn’t touch it. Instead, she looked back at the table of food, and took more grapes.
I looked up at Jax, who was staring at me, with an annoyed, surprised expression “How come Maddie’s allowed to steal your food?”
I shrugged “She’s hot”
“What?” Maddie asked, with a mouth full of food “I never stole his food”
“Baby, you literally just took my bagel”
“What?” She frowned, and looked at her plate “Oh, I’m sorry, I didn’t even realize, I don’t know why I did that, here”
She grabbed it, and placed it back on my plate, but I just laughed.
“Um.. sweetheart” Jax touched her hand “Do you feel overheated?”
“I don’t know, I guess” She shrugged “It’s just hot in here”
“And, are you really hungry?”
“Yes, why are you asking me so many questions?” She snapped “I’m trying to eat”
“Well, that answers my next question, about your mood” Jax smiled at me.
“Baby” I turned back to her, as she began eating some roasted mushrooms “We think your heat might start soon”
“Don’t be silly” She dismissed us, and picked up a sausage “That shouldn’t be, for a few weeks”
“Well, clearly not” Jax told her
“Baby, I think we should make you an appointment with one of the healers, and have you checked”
“Checked?”
“Well, we need to know for sure” Jax told her “Especially, if you’re really not ready for children, we’ll need to get the serum”
“Oh, okay” She shrugged and went back to eating.
“Are you sure you’re not ready to be a mother?” I asked, a little hopeful that she’d changed her mind.
“We’re literally about to go to war” She pointed out “Now’s not the right time, are you going to eat that?”
She didn’t wait for an answer, and just grabbed Jaxson’s toast and bit into it.
“I’ll link the hospital and make an appointment” Jax smiled at her
Maddie took another bite, but then she froze and looked at us, with wide eyes “Wait” She said, and looked at me “Blakes, pregnant”
“Yes” I answered, not sure where she was going with this.
“But, she isn’t marked” She pointed out, sh*t, I’d never even realized “And even if she is, she didn’t know Scott, for long enough, to go through her heat”
I looked at Jaxson, and frowned “I’d never even thought about that” I stood up “I’m going to the prison, there’s something going on, this pregnancy might not be normal”
I grabbed Maddie’s face, kissed her and rushed from the manor “Make sure she gets to the healer” I linked Jax
“I’m on it” He responded
UNKNOWN POV
Fenrir walked around the old house, touching objects covered in dust, cobwebs hung in the corners of the rooms, and the wooden floor boards creaked under his weight, as he went through the rooms.
Troy followed behind him quietly, with a young unconscious woman dangling over his shoulder, dripping blood from her nose, onto the back of his shirt.
“Put her down” Fenrir ordered, as they walked into the dining room, with a large 10 seater table.
Troy gave a huff, as he flipped the girl, onto the table, not caring that her head hit the wood hard, she groaned in pain, but remained asleep.
Fenrir walked over to one of the crystal bowls that were sitting on a bench, along the back wall, behind the table, it was filled with small black stones, which he emptied onto the ground, and brought the bowl to the table.
“Give me your water bottle!” He ordered, and Troy quickly turned and started rummaging around in his bag, he’d dropped onto the ground.
Fenrir, reached into his pocket, and pulled out the necklace he’d taken from the grave and placed it into the bowl, before taking a knife from his belt, he used the end to smash open the necklace’s gem. Red blood dripped out into the bowl and Fenrir threw the necklace onto the table, before pouring the blood into the water bottle.
“Whose blood is that?” Troy asked, curiously.
“Get me the herbs I prepared!”
Again, Troy rushed to his bag and pulled out a glass jar filled with herbs, and passed it over to his creator, who placed them into the bottle, with the blood. He closed the lid, mixed the ingredients before pouring everything back into the bowl, and held his hand over everything. Heat erupted from Fenrir’s hand and the water mixture began to boil.
“Open the b*tches mouth” Fenrir ordered
Troy grabbed the young blonde’s face, and forced her mouth opened, while Fenrir poured the liquid into her mouth. Troy closed the girl’s mouth, and waved his hand, using his own powers to move the liquid from the girl’s mouth, into her stomach.
“Move back” Fenrir ordered, as he stepped a few feet away from the table.
The men waited, Fenrir hopeful, Troy, confused. It wasn’t long before the girl woke up screaming, her body began to smoke, until finally, she burst into flames.
Troy gasped and shielded his face, but Fenrir remained unfazed “The blood was to old” He declared, angrily “I’ll definitely need the girl, you’re sure she’s Iyo’s kid”
“Yes, your majesty”
“Is the spy in place?”
“Yes, sir, she’s in place”
“Good, get Madelyn’s schedule, I want to know when I can take my Phoenix”
“I’ll contact her now”
“Take that with you” He pointed to the dead girl, who was still ablaze, as he walked out of the room.
MADELYN’S POV
I felt really sad, the moment Koda left, and looked towards the door, he’d just exited.
