The twins looked at each other “I’ll keep an eye on her, don’t worry”
“No” Jax growled “There will be men there, she could be in danger, if her heat hits”
Koda looked at me, and exhaled, and held up his fist “If I win, she can come”
“Fine”
“NO!” I snapped, and they looked at me in confusion “It’s not just the two of you anymore, you can’t keep deciding things with this game, we vote from now on, and it’s two against one’
“Nice try” Jax glared at me “But I’ve already told you, when it comes to your safety, you don’t get a say”
I crossed my arms, and glared at him, while they played their stupid game. Luckily for me, Koda won, and Jax didn’t look pleased, but didn’t argue.
“Fine, but don’t let men near her”
“I won’t” Koda agreed, before turning back to me “Come lie down, you’re as white as a ghost. Don’t worry about the dream”
“It wasn’t a dream” I pointed out again “It was a vision, someone’s going to stab you”
I touched his chest, as tears filled my eyes.
“Don’t worry about it baby’ He told me “We will figure it out, and it won’t happen. Now please lay down, you need to rest”
I pouted sadly, were they really not taking me seriously, or were they just trying to exclude me, and take care of things themselves? This is one of the reasons I need to learn to fight. I needed to get stronger, so they would start seeing me as an equal.
I exhaled, and laid down in Koda’s arms, while Jax laid down beside me, and hugged me close.
“Do you think the twins were ours?” Koda asked.
“I hope so” Jax kissed my head “They were adorable”
“Maybe the goddess showed you that vision because she wants them to be born” Koda suggested.
I growled in annoyance, why were they joking around, after what I’d just showed them “If you don’t stop, I’m sleeping in the spare bedroom!”
“I’m sorry” Koda said quickly, and kissed my forehead “Just rest, I’ll stop”
I closed my eyes, and tried to sleep, but all those images kept spinning around and around in my mind, and it took me over and hour to finally fall asleep, though I didn’t feel rested at all, when I awoke the next morning.
MADELYN’S POV
“Maddie, this is Annabelle” Koda placed his hand on the small of my back and I shivered in response to his touch.
I really didn’t know what was going on with me today. Was this because of the heat? I loved the feeling of the bond, but since I’d woken up today, I couldn’t get enough of it, and I’d found myself touching the twins more than usual and lingering contact.
“Hello” I greeted the women.
She looked like an Amazonian warrior, tall and gorgeous with long black hair tied into a long braid at the back of her head and she was very muscular, though, she still somehow looked very famine.
“It’s so great to meet you Luna” She bowed “Alpha Jaxson told me that you didn’t appreciate his and Alpha Koda’s training style”
“You could say that” I crossed my arms and glared at Koda, who kissed my cheek in response, and I got a little turned on, and actually considered begging him to take me home to f*ck me.
“Don’t worry, Luna” Annabelle smiled, reminding me we weren’t alone “I will turn you into a warrior in no time”
“She doesn’t need to be a warrior” Koda sounded concerned, and I exhaled in annoyance. He still wasn’t taking my visions seriously, I needed to learn to fight, and fast “We just need her to be able to defend herself”
“Yes sir” Annabelle said patiently, but when Koda turned to me, she winked and smiled and I giggled.
Koda turned back to her, but she just looked down, and he turned back to me.
“I’ll be working out with some of the troops over there” He pointed to a small group of men “But if you need anything, let me know”
“Okay” I smiled and began to pull off my workout jacket but Koda growled and grabbed either side to stop me and I jumped a little in fright.
“Pull the zipper up now!” He said sternly, shocking me. Koda was always the more even tempered of the twins.
“What’s wrong?” I was completely confused and pulled the zipper up.
“Why are you wearing so little?!” He asked angrily through the link, which confused me.
I was wearing a tight, low cut, singlet top that came to my waist
“You told me to dress to work out?” I responded, what was going on here?
“I never told you to come half naked!” He snapped “Why don’t you have something over top!”
I was confused for a moment, was he worried about people seeing the scars on my back because the top came down to my waist and covered most of them.
“What?” I pulled away from him “You bought me this outfit”
“Yes, but not, so you could wear it in public!”
“Is something wrong, Alpha?” Annabelle asked, but Koda held up his hand to silence her.
“Keep the jacket on!”
“No” I snapped and tried to pull out of his grip, but he pulled me back in angrily “You’re not even wearing a shirt, at least I’m dressed. Don’t be a hypocrite”
Koda had taken off his shirt and flung it over his shoulder in anticipation to work out, and even though I noticed women gawking at him, I hadn’t said anything.
“Fine!” Koda said angrily and pulled his shirt back on “There, now keep this jacket on?”
“Why are you being so weird?!” I asked and looked around “I’m more dressed then all the other women, they’re all wearing workout bras, at least mine’s a top!”
“This top, is skin tight and shows your tits and none of those women are my mate!” He snapped “Nor are they the future Queen, I will not tell you again Madelyn, keep the jacket on!”
“Fine!” I snapped and turned my back on him.
He growled angrily and stomped off to the others while I pouted with my arms crossed.
Stupid jerk!
“Is everything okay, Luna?”
“Yes, just seriously re-considering having two mates” I snapped, and I heard Koda growl again, but I ignored him ‘Can we begin please”
“Sure” She said politely, but glanced at Koda in confusion. He’d turned back to us, probably to make sure I’d listened to him about keeping the jacket on “Let’s start by warming up!”
