“What are you doing home?” Jax asked, and came over to us “I told you that you didn’t need to come back”
“I know” I leaned back, and placed his hands on Madelyn’s cheeks “I got Troy”
“You did?” Jax said excitedly “How? Where is he? Have you filled our parents in?”
“I’ll do it tomorrow” I kissed our girl, and then turned her face to look at her cheek “You’re nearly healed, thank the goddess”
“You both worry too much” She told me, but when Jax growled, she changed the subject “I’m so happy you’re home, I missed you so much!”
“I’m so happy to be home, I’m never touching another sleeping bag again for as long as I live”
Maddie giggled, and I smiled at the sound. How had I lived without this girl for over 90 years?
“Here, let’s swap memories” Jax reached out his hand.
“What? Why?”
“I’ll go speak with our parents about Troy, so you can spend some time alone with Madelyn”
“Really” I said happily “Thanks Jax, here”
I touched his hand, and we transferred memories, but then I saw what went down with them this afternoon and I was annoyed.
“Damn it Jax, she’s just gotten out of the hospital, and you tied her down, and f*cked her”
Jax laughed, and shrugged “You saw the memory, she didn’t mind, did you, sweetheart?” He kissed her softly “I’ll be back in an hour or two, it’s good to have you home”
He started to walk out, but then he linked me, as I snuggled against Maddie “Thank you for not choosing Fenrir”
“I would never choose him over you and Maddie, you don’t have to thank me”
I cut the link and looked down at Maddie “I forgot how beautiful you are”
She blushed, and snuggled back up against me “Koda, I love you, but you smell terrible”
I laughed loudly, and tightened my hold, and pulled her under my armpit “Are you sure about that?”
“Eww, Koda, gross” She shoved me away, laughing and holding her nose “Go shower”
“Come with me” I took her hand, and pulled her with me.
I was absolutely disgusted with the amount of dirt that was washing off my body and down the drain, but Maddie didn’t mind, though, I suspected it was because I no longer smelt like rotten fish.
While Maddie was running the sponge over my chest, I just stared at her cut, and I felt the overwhelming feeling to break down.
Shakily, I reached out and gently touched it “Are you in pain?”
“No”
“Do not lie to me!”
“I’m on pain killers” She told me, as she moved the sponge up to my shoulder and down my arm ‘Besides, I’m nearly fully healed”
“I’m so sorry I wasn’t here to protect you”
She shrugged, which infuriated me, how was it possible for this girl to make me feel a million different emotions all at the same time.
“You would have been working, even if you were in the pack when this happened” She said reasonably.
“Why do you always do that?” I asked, and she looked up into my eyes in confusion “You always downplay it whenever you’re hurt, you’re not in your old pack, there are people who care about you now, you’re loved!”
Tears filled her eyes, and dropped the sponge, and hugged me “I love you too” She told me, and my heart started racing.
While she was in my arms, I felt my d*ck stiffen, I wanted more than anything for her to get on her knee’s and suck me dry, but I was worried her jaw would hurt because of the cut on her cheek, so I didn’t ask her to.
