“He hadn’t beaten Jasper yet” Cole retorted.
“FINAL ROUND” Beta Ryker shouted “BETA JASPER, GEMA KYRONE, COME FORWARD!”
I bit my lip nervously as the two men approached each other, and the fight began. Much to my displeasure, Kyrone didn’t win, and I don’t think anyone celebrated more than Cole.
“Kiss!” He turned to Evet, who sighed.
She leaned in to kiss his cheek, but he smirked and turned his head, kissing her on the lips.
“Gross, Cole!” She hit him and laughed “Do it again, and I’ll have you arrested” She threatened, but he just laughed.
“BETA JASPER WINS!” Beta Ryker shouted, and the crowd went wild.
“Damn it” I pouted.
“Next yr, baby” Koda kissed my hand in comfort.
“AS PER OUR TRADITION” Beta Ryker continued “THE WINNER IS ALLOWED TO CHALLENGE ANY HIGHER RANKING PACK MEMBER WITHOUT REPERCUSSION!”
“I CHOOSE ALPHA JAXSON!” Jasper shouted, and pointed towards our area.
“What?” I gasped as Jaxson sighed quietly, as he stood.
“Every year” Koda laughed “You’d think he’d give up, he’s not going to beat you”
“Wait, what?” I gasped, as Jax removed his jacket and placed it down on his chair “You can’t fight him”
“I’ll be fine, sweetheart” Jax kissed my forehead.
“No, this is stupid, I don’t”
“Madelyn enough” The Queen mother snapped at me “Stop making him look weak, sit down, and be quiet”
“Thank you grandmother, but I have this” Jax told her, before pressing his forehead to mind “Just take a breath, I will be perfectly fine, I love you”
“I love you”
Jax gave me one more kiss to the forehead, before walking over to the railing, and jumping over it. I didn’t like this at all, but Ava was on the edge of her seat, and extremely excited to see him fight.
I watched Jas walk over to Ryker, who passed him a glass of something.
“What is that?” I turned to Koda, as Jax drank the liquid down, and groaned in pain.
“It’s to help reduce his strength to a Beta level, so it’s a more evenly matched fight” Koda told me
“That’s stupid” I complained “If he wants to prove that he’s stronger than an Alpha, he should verse an Alpha on his level, not on a Beta’s level”
“For once, Madelyn” Kaiya smiled at me and raised her glass “We are in agreement”
“Don’t worry baby” Koda kissed my cheek “Jax won’t lose, just sit back and enjoy the show”
My heart started to race, as the men looked at each other.
“BEGIN!” Beta Ryker shouted.
Jasper wasted no time, in charging at Jax, who simply dodged his fist with ease, and bowed to the crowd, showing off, which really infuriated me. He was just playing with Jasper, when I wanted this over with quickly.
Jasper growled and punched at Jax again, but Jax avoided the hit and kicked up his leg, making contact with Jasper’s chest, and knocking him to the ground.
Jax didn’t keep attacking, he just stood there, and waited for his competitor to rise from the ground and start attacking again, before he did anything.
For the next ten minutes, Jax just dodged and flipped around Jasper, hitting him every now and now, but mostly just making Jasper use up all of his energy.
When Jax dodged another hit, I growled in annoyance, and Jax looked up at me with a smirk, and winked at me.
He must have realized I truly didn’t like this, because after that, he turned and really let Jasper have it and it wasn’t long before Jax knocked him onto the ground with a loud bang.
Jasper flipped up, and started punching at Jax again, but when Jax spun to avoid a hit, Jasper threw up his other hand and used his claws to cut down Jaxson’s throat.
I gasped, but before I could scream, Koda placed his hand over my mouth “Quiet” He ordered “If you scream, it’ll distract him, and he’ll lose focus, I’m going to move my hand, but don’t scream, okay”
I nodded, and he moved his hand way “He cut my mark!”
“It’ll heal, don’t worry” Koda told me “And the mark will be perfectly fine”
“It better be” I wa breathing hard, and wanted Jasper dead.
Jax touched his neck, and looked up at me for a moment, before turning back to Jasper with black eyes, he was finally getting serious.
Jasper looked afraid for the first time, and he was right to, because Jax beat the hell out of him, leaving him with a black eye, cracked lip and what sounded like a broken or cracked rib.
The crowd went crazy, as Jax grabbed Jaspers wrist, broke it, and used his other hand to grab him by the throat, and lift him from the ground “YIELD!”
“NO!”
Jax growled and slammed Jasper onto the grown and pressed his knee into Jasper’s chest, cutting off his air supply “YIELD!”
“NO!” He shouted once more, so Jax used his claws and cut down Jasper’s throat, matching the wound Jasper had given him.
“YIELD!”
“YES, I YIELD!” He shouted, and tapped on Jaxson’s knee.
Jax jumped up, and offered Jasper his hand.
“ALPHA JAXSON WINS!” Beta Ryker shouted, as Jax pulled Jasper to his feet.
The crowd cheered and chanted again, as he walked slowly back over to us, waving his hands. Without even thinking, I rushed over to the railing, waiting impatiently for him to come back
When Jax jumped back over the railing, I hugged him tightly, not caring that he was covered in sweat, dirt and blood.
“Careful sweetheart” He pushed me back “You’ll ruin your dress”
MADELYN’S POV
“See baby” Koda kissed my cheek as the crowd screamed and cheered “Told you he’d win, no one’s ever beaten him”
My heart was racing in my ears, and I tried to breathe normally, but all I could focus on was the fact that Jax was bleeding.
