Maddie kissed his cheek, and passed him over her plate of food, which he started eating, and she reached up to take my hand.

“Don’t make me go” I pleaded as tears fell down my cheeks.
“You have to stay safe” Koda answered “You have to go”
Jax pulled back, and wiped my face “We’ll see you in a few days, a week at most” He kissed my forehead, and opened the car door.
Koda gave me one last squeeze and released and kissed me, before moving back.
“Link us once you arrive safely” Jax ordered, and I nodded.
“You have to link me every six hours to let me know you’re both safe”
“Okay, baby” Koda said as I climbed into the car and sat opposite Evet, who was looking at her phone, though I suspected it was to give us some privacy.
