They all sat down and a short time later I see a big guy checking her waist out and heard growling about something. I guess that one was her boyfriend, as she didn’t look like she would be without one. He checked out her wrists and left elbow too, so I guess she ended up hurt, I bet he won’t let her out of his sight again.
They took up their anchor’s and started pulling out slowly as we are in a no wake zone, when I smelled it, Sweet Musk and Patchouli, and I started looking around. I see the boat pulling by us and the beautiful blonde in the very front of the boat sitting with a different guy pulling her to him as he hugs her to his side and kisses her on the top of her head.
Why is she allowing another man to touch her? She is mine, she belongs to me. My head turns and I can’t even stop it as I need to see her again. I see her head lift and her eyes turn to me as if she senses me too. She recognizes me as her mate!
“Pay attention to me Asher, you are here with me, remember?” Ashley says pouting.
“We are not together Ashley remember? we are just coming to have fun at the lake” I remind her.
I start to look around towards where the boat was going. I see her looking back at me. She knows, oh crap, she can sense we are mates. She is going to say something. I look to the shaded area of the boat and now I know I am screwed as I see Dixon, Braxton and Mason all looking over at me slow dancing with Ashley in my arms. I see Bree on the top deck sunning with 3 other girls. I am done, I told my parents where we were going, and I bet they knew that my siblings were coming here before I got the boat yesterday. I have screwed myself in my pride, and now I have been caught by my mate with another woman. As I panic and try to start figuring a way out of it, I don’t even realize that Ashley is reaching up and pulling my face down to hers to give me a kiss.
Well shit, I am done for now, as I look after the boat leaving, I see the look of hurt cross Jade’s face and I know she knows I am still sleeping around with Ashley. She couldn’t feel it before as she hadn’t rejected that Beta yet, but the way she looked right at me, she knows we are mates now, and that I am here with Ashley.
I bet that is where they went yesterday to protect her when she went to accept the rejection, she had like 6 guys with her. What does she do to make everyone love her? Wait, what the hell, they all said she was fat, even Ashley, and that girl is nowhere near fat. She is fine. Did they all lie to me? To try to keep her for themselves. No, that wasn’t right, even mom and dad said she was losing weight. Could she really have lost so much weigh that quickly?
They all saw me with Ashley, I bet mom and dad already know she is here with me. I don’t know how I am going to fix this. I am going to tell Ashley we are done, from now on. The worst part of today is seeing that look on Jade’s face. She really has been through a lot and then she sees me with Ashley. They already have bad blood between them because of me. I let Ashley think that she could be Luna to keep her in line and at my beck and call, and I was the cause of the problem.
Bree and Dixon were right. I picked Ashley’s side because I was getting benefits from it and never even realized I got an innocent person picked on due to me being a greedy asshole. They were right. I am an asshole, but I am going to fix it.
I know she is disappointed she got me as her second chance mate. The look of betrayal that she gave me, it broke my heart. I want to do better, to be better for her. How crazy is that? I want to be a man that she can be proud of, proud to call her mate. I am going to give this a chance. I am in it 100%.
I am making a change right now. And the first thing I am going to do I take Ashley back home to the Stone Moon pack tonight. I will drive back out here in the morning. This mate bond pull is serious. I have never felt like this about anyone else. I can’t stand to upset her, and I haven’t even spoken to her. Maybe it is because of all she has gone through? I have no idea, but I do know that I am going to take Ashley right back to my pack tonight. I will come clean with mom and dad, and tell Ashley we are completely done, because I have found my mate.
“How about you get your fucking hands off of her” I hear Tate say.
I close my eyes and almost cry, thank the Goddess my brother is here.
