“Where am I going to be?” Asher asks me.
“You don’t have to go, Asher, it is only 2 of them coming, but even if they all showed up, we will be able to handle it ourselves, as there are 6 of us too. Actually, we would outnumber them as Calvin is their best fighter and he is with us now” I say and look around the table at the guys, who are all nodding at me because they are reading me loud and clear and probably know that I am done now. I told Asher I was giving him one chance, and not to break my heart, but I can hardly speak right now, I am trying to keep from crying.
“You have an SUV, you should use it to park at another location so you can see for yourself what is going on and not have to take our word, or Calvin’s word for it either,” I say, and I get up and excuse myself to the bathroom.
“Jade, wait up, I would like to talk to you,” Asher says as he follows me to the bathroom.
“You have said enough for today, Asher. I need to go use the restroom now please”. I tell him and walk into the bathroom.
I slip into the bathroom and turn on the faucet to cover the sounds of me crying. I know what I have to do, and I hate having to leave my friends, but I can’t stay here a day longer. I will be packing tonight after we get back. I will be storing my bike on the back of my trailer and taking it and my Jeep back to the Dark Moon pack. Dixon and Braxton can either ride their bikes back to Stone Moon pack themselves, or I can take them on the trailer, and when Bree or Nicole come in their cars to visit me at Dark Moon, they can drive Dixon and Brax over as well, and they can then bring their bikes back with them then. But what I DO know is tomorrow morning at 5, I will be headed out and to my dad’s pack. I will have dad or Luna Monica contact the school for me concerning me finishing up from Dark Moon, with turning my homework in via email or for them to test me over a zoom meeting so they can see me doing my work, but I already have enough credits right now to graduate so I am not worried about it right now. This has not been a great first vacation, I have dealt with a lot this week, and right now I just want it to be over. I mind link Bree and Nicole to meet me in mine and Bree’s room. They are heading up the hallway when I see Asher step into the hallway behind them to speak to me after he heard the bathroom door open.
“Asher, maybe you can give her some time. This has been a tough week and the hits just keep coming. Let us talk to her tonight and you can talk to her later on tonight after you go see if that slut Ashley set her up, or tomorrow morning even. I am sure everyone will be upset after you all see Ashley meet up with Eric and Kyle. I myself don’t need to go as I am fully aware that skank did exactly what Calvin said she did, and I don’t need a visual like you apparently do to prove it. So just give her some space right now while Nicole and I speak to her. Ok. Thank you!” Bree says and turns to come down the hallway and enter our room & shut the door behind her.
“I already know you are leaving, Jade, you don’t even have to say the words. He screwed up, we all heard him be willing to think that it was Calvin at fault, instead of Ashley’s. I knew as soon as you gave the lineup for Mason’s truck when we could get all the guys, you and Asher in the SUV what was going to happen. I agree with you. I am assuming that you are going to your dad’s pack, right? With your brother’s?” Bree says gently to me.
I nod and try to keep the tears at bay. “Yes”, I said, “I will see about getting my homework turned in through email and to take my tests via Zoom and then come back for graduation. That way I don’t have to run into Ashley or Brittany again. I did tell him one chance, I don’t know why he can’t see her for what she is, but I am not going to let Asher burrow into my heart any further than he already has. He has hurt me. Why does he care more for her, than his own mate? I just can’t understand that. I am blocking him out right now. Maybe I can get it under control by the time we get to our graduation in May. But I want you both and Jessica to visit me at Dad’s pack. He has a nice pool and lounge area, and a covered picnic area with tables and a fireplace. I still want to get to see you guys, but I can only come there when I know Asher isn’t there, and with him 30 minutes away, he could get there quicker than I could know he is coming and leave. So, for the next little bit, or until he has picked another girl that he wants to make his Luna and has moved on, I would rather meet there, instead of at Stone Moon”. I tell them.
“I understand honey. I will get you packed up tonight while you guys are gone. Don’t worry about anything. Just know that Dixon, mom, and I will be giving Asher hell every time we see him. For someone who is so smart, he really says some stupid stuff. I don’t know why he can’t see the same thing that we do. I am also going to get a hold of dad and let him know what is going on, so Dixon can reach out when he sees Ashley’s stupid ass meeting those assholes at the convenience store. We have got your back” Bree says and we all hug.
We leave our house a little after 6, I didn’t want to be around Asher anymore as he kept trying to talk to me and I didn’t want to hear it. I just wanted to leave and just be away from him, so under the guise of not wanting to be late getting there and take the chance of us being caught by them, we go and get in Mason’s truck. I sit in the front between Mason and Tyler. Braxton, Travis, and Tate were in the backseat. There was total silence in the truck until we got parked across the street and two businesses up from the convenience store that they were supposed to be meeting at. Mason backs us into the parking space, so we can just pull smoothly out when we need to leave. We have the truck sunshade sitting in my lap, that I am going to unfold and put up when they pass us, so they won’t see us sitting here. We were on the end closer to our rental house so they will have to drive past us, for her to show them where we were staying. I see Asher pull across the street from us, and stare at me across the street. I can tell he is upset, but I just don’t care. Maybe he can take that stupid slut back after she betrays me to Eric and Kyle. She may not have known exactly what they were planning on doing to me, but I also know that she doesn’t care, all she cares about was getting Asher back and becoming Luna of the Stone Moon pack.
“I told dad about what Eric was planning and we will take care of that pack after we get a plan together. Dad has already contacted the council, and we have enough proof to go to war with them at this time. You won’t have to worry about Eric or Kyle too much longer Jade. Maybe Calvin can help us come up with a good plan on how and where to attack, so we can get this over with quickly. I believe what Calvin said and trust him” Tyler speaks first.
“Bree is packing my stuff right now for me. I am planning on leaving in the morning to go to Dark Moon” I tell them all.
“I figured as much as you loaded up my truck with everyone except Asher. Not that I mind or have a problem with it. It seemed like he was refusing to believe that Ashley could do that to you when everyone else in the room knew that she had. I was thinking that you were done when you said it. After you refused to speak to him, I knew I was right. I can’t argue his point as he is wrong, I don’t know what he is thinking at all”. Mason tells me.
