“You were the one to help Jade get healthier?” Calvin says to Braxton.
“Yes, along with Mason, but she truly did it all herself, Jade has such strength and she absolutely killed it in training. She is now my #1 female warrior at Strone Moon, I will miss training with her on the daily, she is in maintenance mode right now, so she doesn’t need to do all the training anymore. Hopefully, we will get everything straightened out soon and she might return to Stone Moon”. Braxton tells me.
“I doubt it Brax, he chose Ashley over me, he asked for one chance, and I gave it to him. I can’t keep letting him hurt me. I can’t keep giving in to him and he keeps breaking my heart. That is not how love is supposed to work. He swore he loved me, and that I was his number one, but he couldn’t believe what Calvin said, probably even when he saw it with his own eyes. How am I supposed to trust him again? He picked Ashley AGAIN, I know why he didn’t want me to go, so I couldn’t see Ashley be proven for the lying slut that she is. I bet he hasn’t even told Alpha Andrew what she did yet because he is always protecting her. I can’t keep putting my heart out there for people to step on and break. Why can’t someone love me? I haven’t even graduated yet and now I have basically lost two mates. Am I so ugly that no one will ever be able to love me?” Jade says to the group.
Dixon steps forward and said “I had already told dad what Calvin had told us earlier after we met with him at the Pizza place. I recorded Ashley showing up and getting in Eric’s SUV and then them coming here to stake out the house. I didn’t look their way, but my phone was high enough to see them as we passed. I checked the video before I sent it. I figured we might need it. I already sent a copy of the file over to Dad. He is going to wait to see what Asher does. I think that this is going to be a test for him, and I really hope he passes it because I do NOT want to be Alpha. I didn’t see Asher recording, so I made sure I did, as it will be easier to banish her and her family with this proof and the witnesses that we have”.
“Dixon, I am glad that you are on my side,” Jade told him and went over to hug him.
We got the pontoon loaded pretty quick and we’re back at the rental in 50 minutes. I see Jade in the living room with everyone and she seems to be relaxed right now. I sit down next to her and look her straight in her eyes and she smiles back at me. That is a really good sign, I am glad my sister is feeling better. I was really worried about her when I left, and I know I was being a drill Sergeant yelling out orders, but I want us to leave quickly and smoothly tomorrow, before Eric and Kyle, Ashley, or even Asher can try to stop us. Getting Jade to where she is safe, and most importantly feels safe, is my biggest priority right now.
We throw away all the extra food after Jade and Nicole make us all sandwiches for the road. We drain the coolers and then Tate and Travis run to the store to get a few bags of ice for in the morning for our sodas and water. We take all the trash out to the curb. I will lock the door and leave the keys under the mat at the front door and let the rental office know we had an emergency and were leaving 3 days early and to just have the house cleaned early for the next renters, we don’t need a refund.
I want us to be pulling out of the driveway at 5 am and don’t want us to be followed by anyone. I do feel a little bad for Asher, I know he loves Jade, but in his jealousy of Calvin, he ended up speaking incorrectly and making it look like he didn’t think Ashley would do what she did. I know he believed that she did it, he just wanted to verify it before he banished her and her family, he just didn’t say it right. As a future Alpha, I knew where his thought process was, but he didn’t say the words he should have, he should have just told her he loved her and knew Ashley was the problem, and that he just had to verify it to banish her and her family. I knew exactly where she took it wrong, as they are just beginning their relationship and he is not making her feel secure in it. Ashley has been allowed to do too much damage and Asher should have realized that. I am not going to call or text him. He would just immediately come over here, and Jade isn’t ready to talk to him yet. I will speak to her in the morning and tell her not to black his number, just yet, and we can see if Asher can dig himself out of the hole that he has dug for himself. He will figure it out when he gets here in the morning, and we are all gone. My main purpose is always to protect my sister. I know that she is older by a day, but I have always felt since the day I met her, that I am her big brother, her protector, and that Tate is her baby brother. Even though that is not how it is, we will both protect her, no matter what because we love her, and we will not let anything happen to her while we are around. I hope that she knows that she can depend on us to take care of her, no matter what happens, we will ALWAYS have her back. I will be taking care of Eric in the near future, as a matter of fact, actually Eric, Kyle, and Jeremy as a bonus. She will never be able to relax again until I get them taken care of, and unfortunately, we may have to take care of Danica, Sophia, and Ashley, if they can’t drop it and leave Jade in peace. We will be going to war with Howling Wolf, Eric has already done enough, and it has been witnessed, with the council backing us and I have a sneaking suspicion that Stone Moon will also be going into battle against them when the time comes. Both Howling Wolf and Stone Moon are about the same number of pack members, around 450. But we have over 1,000 at Dark Moon and all of our wolves are trained from age 10 and up, with you having to earn the Elite title, it is not given to anyone, no matter their title, it has to be earned, and we have almost 200 elite fighters in out pack. Eric is going to figure out really quickly that he cannot win against us, and the fight will be over very soon. We are a little more progressive than most wolf packs, we do still fight in wolf form, but we also have about 20 expert marksmen in our pack, Tate included, because some packs put everyone on the front line, and then the Alpha’s sneak out and leave their pack to be slaughtered. I believe that we just need to show up and take the top layer out, Alpha Family, Kyle, Gamma Family (the Devoe’s), and then any other vicious members of the pack and then see if someone like Calvin’s dad, Marcus Williams, would like to be temporary Alpha of the Howling Wolf pack. The regular pack members will be left alone to stay in their pack which should run a lot better with a new Alpha in charge. I already asked Calvin and he declined the offer; he is going to stay at Dark Moon with us, as my Gamma.
I sit in the darkened living room looking out the blinds waiting until 4 am gets here. I am ready to go now, but I told them 5, and that is early enough to leave. I am going to have the girls ride with Mason and Braxton, Dixon can ride with Calvin to make sure he finds his way if he gets separated. Travis will be with me in my Jeep and Tate will be with Jade in hers. She will be the target and she needed to be with the one person who can handle it if it comes down to it.
I get the walkthrough done and nothing was left behind. The garage was clear, and I shut all of the garage doors and come out the front door and leave the two keys under the mat. I would be calling the realtor to let them know, that we are clear of the house and where the keys are at 8 am. My Jeep was idling with Travis in it. Everyone’s body was ready to go. We won’t be stopping for at least two hours, so I can make sure we are not being followed. We will take a bathroom break, grab the sandwiches Jade and Nicole made, and some drinks from the coolers, and hit the road again. I am glad to see that we are leaving 10 minutes earlier than I planned to. I pull out into the dark street, with Jade behind me, Mason behind her, and Calvin bringing up the rear in his red Chevy Z71. He is to be looking out for us all in case someone was watching us leave this morning, even though we were all keeping an eye out. Dixon can mindlink everyone to let them know if there is a problem, and Jade can mindlink me as Travis and I can’t mindlink with Dixon.
Our journey has started, and we had about 4 hours on the road to get to Dark Moon. I hope we get there without incident.
At 7 am, Asher pulls into the driveway of the rental home and notices immediately that there were no vehicles present and goes to the door and rings the doorbell. No one answers. He looks in the windows and sees it straight in the living room and no one there. Getting angry now, he kicks the mat and sees two keys underneath the mat and unlocks the door, and enters to see where everyone is. All the rooms have been cleared out, no one is here or in the backyard.
“Bree, where are you?” Asher’s mind links his sister.
“Um, I really don’t want to say right now. But we are all safe, we are all together. So don’t worry, we will see you Sunday when we get home. We already told mom and dad what was going on”. Bree answers back.
