“Hang on, I haven’t fought for a while, and I want to stretch and maybe get some tips from my dad. I am going to go talk to him for a couple of minutes and then I will open the gate” Eric calls back to us.
“You can stretch out here moron, what are you trying to do?” Tyler calls out.
“Nothing, I just want to say goodbye to my dad and mom in case I get beaten. He is a good fighter and in case I lose, I want to have said goodbye to them” Asher calls out and then walks over to his parents and starts stretching.
“You look like a complete idiot Eric, stop stalling and get over here” Asher calls out.
Tyler’s Perspective
I mind link to Tate, “He is stalling now, and I want to know what the hell is going on in there. I think he is going to try to kill one or all of us”.
“I agree, go speak to Asher, but do not turn your back on the gates and I will get with my sharpshooters, I do not have a good feeling about what is about to go down,” Tate tells me back through the mind link.
I walk over to Asher sideways, not turning my back to the gate. I speak in a low tone for only him to hear, “Tate and I believe that Eric is stalling to get people set up to shoot you, or you and me, or all of us to stop the war between our packs. Even if he does come out here to fight, we need to be paying attention to the walls and make sure that none of us are going to be shot. Eric knows that he can’t beat you, so he will have to fight dirty. You just focus on beating him, and let Tate do his thing, I saw him undo the snaps at the top of his holster freeing up his guns to be used. I need to be able to mind link you just in case. So, I will be adding you to my pack so we can communicate via mind link, at least for today. Are you ok with that?”
“I am totally ok with that as I don’t want to be shot, but I will not be letting that psychopath take Jade away from me. I love her and I refuse to let her suffer one more day ever again, from the people in this pack. So yes, please add me and now because I would love to get a heads up in case someone tries to end me today.” Asher tells me.
“Asher, can you hear me?” I hear Tyler in my head.
“I can, thanks for having my back Tyler” I answer him back.
I am now worried because I know that Tyler and Tate are right. I have a really bad feeling about this right now. He has stalled too long, and I am sure he made plans to have me taken care of, he is not a fighter. I have seen him fight before, and he gets lucky sometimes getting a weaker Alpha, but her doesn’t know how to fight very well. I believe he is lazy and doesn’t care about being a strong Alpha. I am only a year older than him, but I am a strong fighter thanks to Braxton and Mason. There is no way that Eric can beat me in a fight, without cheating.
“Ok, I am ready to fight” Eric calls out and Tyler backs up to the corner of the SUV that he has moved out into the street. I don’t know why he moved it, but I know that he and Tate were mind linking with each other before he did it.
“Let’s go, Eric, show me what you got,” I tell him as the gates open up.
