Asher can be a badass, I think as I watch him deal with Sylvia. I see her pale and start to shake a little. I don’t know if it is from fear of him or from knowing that she will be put to death for lying to the acting Alpha, Marcus Williams, and Alpha heir, Conner Smith, or for the torture that it looks like Asher is just waiting to dole out to her. I can see the internal battle that she is having, as she looks over to Acting Alpha Williams for confirmation of what Asher just told her.
Acting Alpha Williams just nods at her, as does Alpha heir, Conner Smith, showing her that they were in complete agreement on this and that her fate had already been sealed.
“How about I give you the combination and let you get all my titles and deeds from the safe and you let me go? I can just pack a bag and take one of the cars and leave and you won’t have to worry about me ever again” Sylvia offers us a deal.
“I am sorry, but that won’t work for us. None of us want you popping back up to try to guilt Jade out of her rightful money, or for you to try to attack or assault her. Plus, you did commit treason and we were here and were verifiable witnesses to it so there will be no problems coming from the Council on your being put to death” I tell her.
“Additionally, I was here as Beta when little Jade arrived when she was a toddler. She was a precious little thing, and you never treated her right, from the start. Jade would do anything to make you happy, and it never worked. Now I know why, because you never loved her, not even a little bit. She didn’t get picked on until Jeremy got jealous of all the attention that she got from her friends and teachers when she started school a year behind him, and you allowed him to start picking on her at that time. I never realized how it had grown and spread until I found out what all had been happening to Jade, when my own daughter, Kendall, showed me the videos that Danica had posted. Imagine my surprise when I see my own son, rejecting the mate that the Goddess gave him” Marcus stops talking for a little while to look at Calvin with pity and sorrow. Marcus shakes his head and then starts speaking again “I hate that he didn’t come to me to talk about it, instead of just rejecting her. I cannot imagine what all Jade has had to deal with day in, and day out, here in this pack. We are supposed to protect our own and two teenage women literally destroyed it because they were jealous, spiteful, malicious women. But you Sylvia were the worst among us all. You allowed Jeremy to bully Jade, and then encouraged his friends to do it as well. I am willing to bet that the last 5 years of Jade’s life were absolutely terrible, and you were the instigator of it all. You are the most depraved person I know to have an innocent girl be treated like that by her peers. You don’t have one drop of motherly love in you as you still haven’t cried over losing your son or your husband. It is amazing to me that no one noticed just how bad a person you are, and if they did, they never turned you into us for you to be dealt with. BUT we will remedy that today. Sylvia Devoe, you will give us that combination, or I WILL allow Asher to torture you until you give it to us, and it is verified to be correct. I will not be playing any games with you as you have almost single-handedly brought war to our gates. A lot of lives could have been lost today, but not one innocent life was lost because these men came here to rectify what had been done wrong, and not to condemn a whole pack for just a few members’ mistakes. I for one and very grateful to you both for sparing our pack” Marcus stops speaking, as he is obviously overwhelmed by what he was saying.
“That was all Jade, she didn’t even want us to do this for her, she was willing to live with it, but we could not let her live in fear. With us all just waiting for the next time Eric showed up to abduct her. She is worth protecting, and we all love her. She didn’t want anyone to be hurt by us trying to keep her safe. She is a kind and gentle soul, and I have no idea how that happened on this witch’s watch. It must be deeply ingrained in her for her to be this good to everyone that she meets, and her mother must have been a good person too. I now believe that you were jealous of Hillary and that you took out all your anger and jealousy that you had for Hillary and put it on little Jade. I hate that she had the accident, I wish she had lived because I think we could have known our sister sooner, rather than later if she had. Your conversation with Jeremy about kicking her out of her home, penniless the day she turned 18 was a terrible thing to do, but I am glad it happened because we would not have met her if it had gone another way. Jade truly was the best birthday present that I have ever or will ever receive” I said to Sylvia.
“Oh, she heard that, did she? I always wondered why she never came home that day, not that I was upset about it, but I did wonder why? Or how she knew not to come home. I know Jeremy wouldn’t have warned her he came home right after school because he wanted to see me kick her out. Truth be told, we were both disappointed she never came home” Sylvia says to us.
“Stop stalling and tell us the safe combination. I want to get home today, and you are wasting my time. I can’t stand to look at you anymore” Tate says to Sylvia.
“I don’t think you have the guts to do it to an old she-wolf” Sylvia responds back.
“I don’t have a problem one taking you out, if Marcus and Conner are good with me doing it you will go out the same way your husband and son did, and I will be the one to do it for you,” Tate tells her.
“Tate, hold off, I have this” Asher tells him. Asher looks her in the face and says “OK, so you are not going to give us the combination, correct?”
“Correct” Sylvia says.
Asher moved faster than we thought he could and grabbed Sylvia with one arm around her waist and grabbed her right hand tightly, breaking all four fingers and her thumb.
Sylvia started screaming in pain and tried to get her hand away from Asher.
