Life’s Spiced Up with Some Werewolf Reads

Chapter 8 – Shadowed Bond with Her Alpha

“I don’t know what to do, Seb. Fen is freaking out and it isn’t like her. We don’t know what to do.”

I say with tears in my eyes. I will not cry. I didn’t even cry when my mother died, I am not going to let another mate be the reason I shed a tear. Then I feel a little less weight of the emotions.

“I can feel it. I am sorry I can’t help more Ace.” He says.

“That is fine, you didn’t have to do that in the first place Seb. I will be fine.” I answer.

“I know, but it is the first time you haven’t gotten mad at me for trying to help. So that’s good.”

I roll my eyes at him. And start to worry again.

“Seb. I don’t know what to do.” I whisper and look down.

“LeeAca, You are the strongest person I know. You know how to help everybody the way they need based on their emotions alone. You will not let this tear you apart like the others. You will know what to do, I cannot tell you the answers are all there, but I can tell you your options to try and get you out of the funk.” He paused and I looked up at him expectantly.

“Wow. This is bad. You are letting me give you advice.” Fen growls at him before he continues.

“You can’t run because they will hunt you down and force you to be queen and that will get on their bad sides.” He starts.

“I thought you were supposed to be giving me advice on what I could do Seb. Not what I can’t do.”I say in an annoyed voice.

“Right. Well you can stay here and start being the role that has been chosen for you. Rock it and try to develop Fen into a non-person hating wolf. Try and live the life that has been given. OR you could try and convince the King that you are not the right person. Which will be extremely hard. But you may manage to do it. There is also the option of talking to the king and seeing what he expects of you. His answer to that will be able to help you form a plan.”

I mull over his words. Fen is silent.

“I will talk with him and go from there. Thanks Seb.” I say and I hug him.

“Let’s get back. I am pretty sure that people are starting to leave.”

I just nod and we head back in.

After saying goodnight to my family and pack I am shown to my new room. Beta Markus shows me to a room on the second to the last floor. “For now this is your room. My quarters are to your left and the gammas are to your right. You have your luggage from the hotel you were staying in. If you need anything the phone in the room is connected to the servants quarters, all you have to do is pick the yellow button on the receiver.” I nod my head and open the door. I walk in and close the door behind me then turn on the light and look around the room.

“Is it just me or is this place weird? Where is the bed? Do they expect us to sleep on the couch?” Fen starts complaining. There is a maroon couch and armrest facing towards a TV that sits in a built-in bookshelf and reddish brown coffee table in the center of the room. The walls are white with gray fake wood floors. There is also a small area to my right that has some cabinets with liquor and a mini refrigerator and sink. There are also some snacks in the island cabinets.

I walk around the corner and see a door on the other side of the “kitchen” area. I opened it to find a hallway with two doors. One leads to the bathroom and the other to a bedroom. “Why is it set up so weird? Couldn’t they have been normal and connected both to the living room?”

“I don’t know Fen, why don’t you ask them?”

I walk into the bedroom and see a Queen size bed with baby blue bedspread. Yellow flowers on both night stands, and a reddish brown chest at the end of the bed. The walls are gray and the carpet is brown.

“You would think that they would have better taste than this.” Fen grumbles.

“This bedroom place is hideous.” I say to her and start to chuckle to myself. Next I go into the bathroom and there is a white shower with the ceiling being the shower head that drops down like rain. There is also a hand shower head. The rest of the bathroom is light gray with silver accents.

“At least the most important thing is nothing like the rest of the place.” Fen says.

“Yea the bathroom is nicer than I thought it was. Good thing we looked at the rest of the place first.” I took a quick shower then went to bed.

I wake up in a cold and damp room with water being splashed on me. I quickly jerk awake when I am punched in the face.

“DON’T YOU DARE LOOK AT ME.” A man screams at me. He drags me to a dark room and straps me to a table. Then spits on me and walks out. I am crying when somebody opens the door. The lights turn on, blinding me. Before I could even adjust to the lights a man in surgical gear walked up to me. He has a mask on but his eyes are what is scary. One is silver and the other is dark brown, almost black.

“Hello little wolf.” He says in a sadistic tone.

“Wh – Where am I? Wh- What are you doing to me?” I ask as I start shaking in fear. His eyes narrow and he stabs me in the leg with something silver. I scream and start to shake.

“DON’T YOU DARE SPEAK YOU DISGUSTING ABOMINATION!” He screams. He takes a scalpel and cuts down my stomach and I pass out from the pain.

I shoot up out of bed shaking and hyperventilating. Goddess damn dreams. “Memories.” Correct Fen. I roll my eyes and look at the alarm clock. It’s 02:00 AM. At least I had 3 hours of sleep. That’s lucky for me.

I get up and look outside the bedroom window. The moon is still high and bright. I open it slightly to let the cool breeze wash away any reminiscences of my dream and go and get changed. I don’t have many clothes since I thought I was only going to be here for the weekend. I found black leggings and a black tank top and put my black hoodie on. I go towards the large windowing in the main room and see that it is actually a patio.
