“Of course. We are just glad to have you here. I sent my warriors to retrieve the escort to show you where to park and where to assemble. Remember that there will be other packs here, so please keep the peace. We are here to support our future Queen, not start war with the pettiness of pack rivalries.” I say and he bows his head.
“Of course Gamma. I will keep the members in check.” He says and gets back into his car. Soon enough I see another escort pull up to the gates. When I look inside I see that it is the two warriors that were out here guarding the entrance. I chuckle to myself. They look funny in that little car. We have the biggest, meanest looking people guarding the gates as a warning to people who think they could just walk in. The two are in a BMW coupe with no back seat and close to no leg room. I see the one on the passenger side with his legs to his chest with a pissed off look on his face. As soon as they turned around and the cars started pulling through Lucas started laughing so hard he started to hold his stomach.
“They look.. Like Killer… Clowns… In their clown car.” He says trying to catch his breath between words. I start laughing. They really did. After I am done laughing I remember I need to try and remedy the escort situation. I quickly mindlink all of the drivers we normally use, telling them that if they are not busy they need to report to the escort building. Four of the 6 of them answered right away, the other two were too busy to come. I understand some have families and are busy. It wasn’t like I ordered them to. Five total should be enough, if not more than we need.
It was almost noon and most of the packs showed up. Some brought their whole pack, while others had just a few. I am surprised at the number of people who have shown up. There are at least 700 people here for LeeAca. I then smell it. It is getting stronger. It isn’t a repugnant smell of rogues, but it still smells bad. Like somebody put on too much cologne or perfume and it is trying to suffocate you. I look over at Lucas and he has a smile on his face. I look up to see hundreds of people stepping out into the road. I see them a mile away. There are children with the group. I looked over to Lucas again and his smile widened further.
“Who are they?” I ask him and his smile falters a small bit.
“They are the rogue pack.” He says and I look back over to the people, there are hundreds of people walking along the road now. I see my warriors tense and hear their heartbeat quicken. I quickly turn to them.
“They are not here for war. They are here to support your Queen. Line up all of the warriors down the street to give them the support and encouragement they need to enter into our land.” I say and I still feel their uneasiness. Lucas turns to them.
“The Shadow, or as this pack calls her, luz de la luna, Moon Light. She created this pack for people she saved that needed a place to live. Many of them have been saved by her and are here because they feel that they owe her their life.” He says and turns around to face the people walking up to us. I say f*ck it and mindlink all of my warriors. It isn’t a hush hush gathering now.
“I need every single one of you to stand in formation of two lines leading to the hospital. You WILL NOT cause any problems for this pack. This is the pack that your Luna has formed for the people she has saved. If I hear you are causing trouble and not respecting them, you will be severely punished. Including but not limited to whipping, torture, prison, and death. DO NOT TEST ME!” I yell through the mind link. I see the three men flinch and bare their necks to me. I put all of my aura on that one.
“Yes Gamma!” I hear chanted back. After a minute I see our warriors starting to line up from the gate. “Which pack is it, Gamma?” I hear a mindlink from one of my female warriors. She left the mindlink open with everybody.
“It is the rogue pack.” I answer and I hear gasps and whispers.
“You said that this is the pack Luna formed so people she saved could have a pack?” The female answered back.
“Yes it is.” I say and I see a lot of my warriors stand taller and smile a little.
“Then we will proudly stand for our Luna’s pack.” She says and there were a chorus of agreements through the link. I look over to see Lucas with a big grin on his face. I can’t help but smile as well. We stood there for another 5 minutes, while the pack made its way to us. I see the worried expressions on all of their faces when getting closer. They all stop and one man walks forward to greet me.
“Gamma garrett. I am Alpha Jorian, from the rogue pack. We are here in support of luz de la luna, our Queen.” He says, bowing his head. I smile and grab his shoulder in a friendly manner.
“I welcome you and your pack Alpha Jorian. You will have no problems here. My warriors have lined the way to the hospital for you to show their respect for their Queen’s pack.” I say and his eyes widen a little. At the friendliness I am showing, he bows his head and looks up toward Lucas.
“Thank you. Gamma, SJ.” He turns around and heads back to his people. I turn to Lucas and raise an eyebrow.
“SJ?” I ask and he chuckles a little.
“Shadow Jr.” He says and I chuckle as well. The pack moves forwards and bow their heads slightly to show me respect. It takes me by surprise at first, being rogues, they technically don’t have to do that. Lucas and I start walking with them towards the hospital.
“How is she?” I look over towards an older woman who is holding on to the Alpha’s arm. Must be his mate.
“She is still not awake. We are hoping that she will wake up today.” Lucas answers her. She nods her head, then looks down. When we reach the hospital I can feel my wolf start to stir in restlessness.
“Sister.” He says and starts to jump around in my head. I feel his excitement. I stop mid step as I comprehend what he says. Lucas, Alpha Jorian, and Luna stop and look at me.
“Do you have a shewolf of the name Kyndra? She has a pup around 3 years old whose name is Kyndal.” I ask. I can feel my hope swelling to the point it is about to burst. The Luna’s eyes widen a little as if she recognized the name.
“What do you want with them? You promised protection.” The Alpha says cautiously.
“Do you know her? Is she here? I need to see her.” I say and start to look around frantically.
“I will die before my pack member is harmed.” The Alpha says and my wolf growls at him.
“She is my sister! I will not harm her!” I growl out and his eyes widen then he nods. I see his eyes glaze over. I keep looking around and I see the crowd of people start to part. As soon as I see her I start running to her. I see that she is nervous, but when she sees me she smiles. When I reach her I wrap my arms around her, pick her up and spin her around. I haven’t seen her in almost three years.
“Brother.” She says as she starts crying.
“Sister.” I say as my eyes fill with unshed tears. I place her down and see a scared child behind a man. I look at him questioningly as he pulls the small girl up to him.
“Daddy, who that?” The girl asks the man holding her and points to me. Kyndra steps aside and goes to the girl.
“Kyndal, this is my brother, your uncle Garrett. Garret this is your nice Kyndal, or as we call her Kyn. And this is my mate Jarod.” Kyndra says while this Jarod puts Kyndal down and sticks his hand out. Saying “It’s nice to finally meet you.” I shake his hand and then kneel down to Kyn.
“Hi Kyn. I’m your uncle. I am so glad to finally meet you.” I say and she smiles.
