“What are you doing here Alarick?” LeeAca asks me in an annoyed tone. I look at her confused.
“Onin didn’t you say she was in trouble?” I ask him.
“Yes. The dream. It was hers. The pain was hers too.” He answered and it came back to me. The man leading me through the forest. Him telling me he loved me. Then he lay on the ground dead, while I held his heart in my hand. I hear snaps next to my face and I look up in a dazed confusion. I see LeeAca has gotten up and is standing in front of me now. She is snapping her fingers to get my attention.
“Hello? Alarick, I am ready to go.” She says and I can tell she is getting impatient. I look at her and see that she changed into different clothes and threw her hair up. I didn’t even notice she left the room.
“Go where?” I ask, looking at her dumbly.
“To the forest. For my rejection. That’s why you’re here right?” She says completely serious. My anger bubbles. Why does she insist I will reject her?
“NO! I told you before that I would not reject you. Why do you insist that I am going to?” I ask her with my voice rising a little because of the hurt she has caused me.
“Then why the f*ck are you here? There is no other reason.” She says getting angry too.
“I am here because I saw your dream! I woke up and Onin said you needed us!” I yell at her. I admit I probably shouldn’t have yelled, but she is driving me crazy.
“What are you talking about? You saw my dream. That is impossible.” She scoffs as if I am making this up.
“You were walking through the forest with a man, He was darker with green eyes. I felt the love and excitement you had for him. He looked at you with complete love and affection. He took you to a spot and said that he loved you. The tingles that shot through your arm only tells me that he was your mate. Next thing I know he is laying on the ground dead and you are holding his heart in your hand. Then pain rippled through me, waking me up.” I explained the dream to her. She is standing there in silence. I see that her face is drained of her color, her green eyes staring at me like I am a ghost. “You killed your first mate.” I say and her eyes shoot up to mine.
“So did you.” She states and I feel the guilt and anger from that night build up.
“I had to. She would have destroyed my Kingdom! Your mate told you that he loved you then you killed him?!” I yell and I see her eyes turn bright green and go back to her normal green.
“Get out.” She says calmly. I just stand there, staring. “I SAID GET OUT!!” She yells. I see her wolf take control and she lets go of her aura and I about fall to my knees in sadness. Her aura is so dark that it brings a wave of sadness over you, for some it may bring fear. I turn around to walk out and see Lucas and Maleena standing in the living room trembling. I guess I was right. Fear and sadness. I hang my head down and leave. What the hell is going on?
LeeAca’s POV
After Alarick leaves Fen pulls back in my aura. I see Maleena and Lucas walking cautiously to my room. I take a deep breath to try and control my emotions.
“Everything okay?” Maleena asks when she gets to my doorway.
“Everything is fine. He is just being an idiot. Go back to bed.” I say to both of them and give them a reassuring smile.
“Why didn’t you tell him the full story about your mate?” Maleena asked and I get annoyed.
“Because he didn’t need to know the full story, Maleena.” I say and she sighs.
“You probably confused him though. If all you told him was that you killed your mate, what is he supposed to make of that?” She says. At least she didn’t hear the full conversation.
“He can bake a cake out of that for all I care. Maleena, look, I am tired of talking to people. Please just go back to your room.” I say and shut the door in their faces. I didn’t like doing that, but if I didn’t, she wouldn’t leave me alone till somebody else distracted her.
I go over to my bed and sit down. I slump down and go through everything that Alarick said. He saw my dream. “Fen, how is that possible?” I ask her and she huffs.
“I don’t know. Maybe it is because that mate bond is stronger? I have never heard of such a thing.” Fen says and I nod my head. Then reality starts to shine through the situation. Everynight I have a nightmare. Every Night I dream of something that has happened to me. If he can see my dreams… then… no. “We can’t sleep.” Fen says completing my train of thought.
“Fen. We need to do it now.” I say and I can feel she agrees with me. I go over to my “safe room” and punch in Maleena’s birthday. Once I get to my computer I type the passcode and look through my contacts.
“?plo.” I type and wait. After about 30 seconds I got a reply.
“K?rio.” I see on the screen. Man, he must spend all his time on the computer.
“I need the location now.” I type and wait.
“Are you sure? With everything going on, you might want to wait.” He replies back which annoys me.
“With everything going on, I can’t wait. He sees my dreams.” I type.
“Ah. I see. Well as it turns out I had a feeling you would ask me to hurry up. I should have the location by tomorrow.” He replies. His “feeling” is more of short visions.
“Thank you.” I replied.
