Life’s Spiced Up with Some Werewolf Reads

Chapter 17 – Abandoned Luna Now Untouchable (Cecilia & Sebastian) Novel Free Online by Lila

His face drained of color as he dialed. The front desk confirmed it: a beautiful woman had checked in at seven, left a suit for safekeeping, then departed with a middle-aged man.

Lian’s voice trembled. “Wasn’t she supposed to meet you? Why would she leave with someone else-?”

I was already on my feet.

Soren’s voice rang out, frantic and desperate. “Go find her! Our mate! She’s in danger. She needs us.”

My phone was in my hand before Lian could finish speaking.

I strode out of the courtyard, every step heavy with purpose.

Someone had taken her.

And they would regret it.

Celina

I was thrown roughly onto a large bed in a dimly lit hotel room. The faint glow from a single overhead lamp cast long shadows across the walls.

Seven or eight men stood around me, each wearing nothing but towels wrapped low around their waists. Their eyes gleamed with a predatory hunger. On a nearby table, a disturbing array of “toys” was laid out-syringes, needles, and other cruel instruments.

Fear gripped me so tightly that my whole body trembled uncontrollably. I tried to push myself up, managing only to prop myself on one arm before collapsing back onto the bed.

My face drained of color as I shook my head and kicked my legs weakly against the sheets, trying to crawl backward.

“No… no… please don’t…” I whispered, my voice trembling.

One of the men chuckled darkly. “What a beauty.”

Another sneered, “Her man must be heartless to give such a gorgeous woman to us, wanting her broken.”

“Not just broken,” a third said with a cruel grin. “He wants the whole thing filmed.”

Their words hit me like a hammer. Xavien? Could he have arranged this?

No, it was impossible.

Despite my weakness, I scrambled for my phone, dropping it several times before finally managing to hold it steady. I had to call Xavien-to hear it from him directly.

When some of the men moved to snatch the phone away, the woman in the server uniform, sitting casually on a sofa, spoke up. “What are you afraid of? Even if she calls the police, she won’t be able to speak clearly enough.”

Huddled in the corner of the bed, I dialed Xavien’s number.

The call was cut off the first time.

And again the second time.

My heart grew colder, the pain inside deepening with each hang-up.

On the third try, the call connected-but it wasn’t Xavien who answered. It was Cira.

“Xavien doesn’t want to talk to you. Why do you keep calling?” she said, her voice dripping with mockery.

Then she laughed, a cruel, triumphant sound. “By the way, do you like the studs we arranged for you? Here’s a little secret-they’re not just kinky perverts. One of them has HIV.”

“Pray you don’t survive tonight. If you do, things will only get worse.”

“Of course, we’re not afraid if you go to the police. In this city, crushing you would be like stepping on an ant. You can’t win against us.”

“Don’t blame us for being cruel-you brought this on yourself with your greed. Honestly, from the moment you found out about his affair, he knew. He deliberately played you along for tonight-to destroy you. Once you’ve signed the agreement and become damaged goods, we won’t owe you a penny.”

“Oh, and tomorrow, I become his Luna-in name, bond, and blood. How does that feel, Celina? I’ve taken your mate, your title… and soon, your place in this world.”

“I’ll be happy and blessed for life, growing old with Xavien.”

“And you? You’ll only die in pain.”

Cira’s laughter echoed triumphantly before the call ended.

The phone slipped from my ear.

Despair, grief, and a burning hatred tore through me like wildfire.

The woman by the sofa lifted her phone, activating the camera. “Alright, let’s begin. The client said to go all out-don’t hold back.”

All seven or eight men closed in around me.

I desperately tried to reach for a pillow to throw, but my hands were tied tightly to the headboard. My legs were pinned down as well. Hands reached for me from every direction, ripping at my clothes.

Hot tears welled up and streamed down my face.

When an ugly, obese man climbed onto the bed, syringe poised to inject my thigh, I wished only for death.

I bit down hard on my tongue, trying to end it all.

Sebastian

The door slammed open with a deafening crash, echoing through the hallway.

The needle hovering just above Cecilia’s skin suddenly stopped, suspended in mid-air.

I stood in the doorway, my breath ragged and uneven, as the fierce, untamed fury of Soren roared inside me like a wild beast unleashed.

Behind me, the security team charged forward, their boots pounding heavily against the polished floor. I didn’t have to issue any orders-they already knew exactly what to do. Within moments, the attackers were on the ground, disarmed and subdued, their screams filling the air as if they were vermin dragged out from the darkest depths of a sewer.

Two female hotel employees trailed closely behind them, following my precise instructions. Yet, despite their presence, I couldn’t bring myself to step inside just yet. My fists were clenched tightly at my sides, nails biting into the flesh of my palms. I was teetering on the edge, dangerously close to losing every ounce of control I had left.

My white shirt was half undone, sleeves rolled up to my elbows. Sweat clung to my skin, flushed from the adrenaline and the frantic sprint here, but the heat burning through me wasn’t just physical exertion-it was pure, unfiltered rage.

The cold, composed Alpha mask I had worn for years-the one that made me seem untouchable and impenetrable-had shattered completely.

All because of her.

Because I had seen fear flicker in her eyes.

Because the mere thought of her suffering was unbearable.

In its place rose something raw and primal-a fierce, all-consuming instinct with a single purpose:

Protect her. No matter the cost.

A minute later, Liam met me outside the room. His expression was tight, serious.

“She’s shaken up,” he said softly. “They didn’t get far. Her clothes were torn, but nothing worse happened. She even tried to bite her tongue when we got in… I think she thought-” He stopped himself mid-sentence.

“We covered her with your jacket. She’s awake, but not talking.”

I gave a single, tense nod, my jaw clenched so tightly it ached.

“I told the staff to keep quiet,” Liam added. “No one will say a word.”

I didn’t answer. I simply couldn’t.

When I finally stepped inside, the silence was suffocating.

She lay curled up on the bed, fragile and withdrawn like a wounded creature. Tears streaked down her face. Blood stained the corner of her mouth-she had truly tried to bite through her own tongue. Her wrists were raw and red from the restraints digging into her skin.

Something inside me shattered.

I moved closer cautiously, as if any sudden movement might make her disappear completely.

Kneeling beside the bed, my fingertips trembled as I reached out and lightly brushed her cheek.

To my surprise, she leaned into the touch.

Her skin was warm beneath my palm, like the first breath of air after nearly drowning.

I froze.

Slowly, she opened her eyes-soft, disoriented, unfocused. She looked at me like a frightened doe, unsure whether to flee or collapse into my arms.

I swallowed hard and gently ran my fingers through her hair, keeping my voice low and steady. “Don’t be afraid,” I whispered.

She blinked once, then closed her eyes again.

But this time, not out of fear.

It felt like trust.

Cecilia

I was adrift in a dark sea of terror. Invisible hands clawed at me, voices echoed with cruel laughter. The sharp sting of the needle pierced through my skin, pain radiating outward.
