Chapter 45 – Abandoned Luna Now Untouchable (Cecilia & Sebastian) Novel Free Online by Lila

Later that evening, Harlow helped me shower-my first real shower since the accident. Five days had passed, and while my wounds had mostly closed on the surface, I still couldn’t make any big movements without risking reopening them.

As she carefully tended to me, Harlow worried aloud about my streak of bad luck this year.

She even suggested that once I was back on my feet, we should go to church and pray for some divine protection.

By early evening, I was sitting on my balcony, watching the sun dip below the horizon, painting the sky with warm hues of orange and pink. Harlow had gone out to pick up groceries at a nearby supermarket. The quiet moment was suddenly interrupted by my phone buzzing on the small table beside me.

I frowned at the unknown Denver number flashing on the screen. Seriously? I thought he’d leave me alone for at least a couple of days, but it had only been three hours.

Without hesitation, I declined the call and blocked the number.

Xavien

Across the hospital, I handed my phone to Beta Henric. “How’s the house coming along?”

“It’s finished,” Beta Henric reported. “You now own the apartment on the twentieth floor-right above hers.”

“Good.” I clapped his shoulder in approval.

I’d arranged this the day I left for Singapore. There was absolutely no way I could allow her to live in the same building as Alpha Sebastian without me being nearby. Winning my wife back was going to be a marathon, not a sprint, but I was ready for the long haul-even if her current attitude was unfamiliar and difficult.

A soft, pitiful sob pulled my attention back to the hospital room. I entered to find Cira with swollen cheeks, a bruised lip, and eyes brimming with tears.

“Xavien…” she reached out to me, her voice fragile and pleading.

“The doctor says you’ll be fine,” I told her, keeping my distance from the bed. “Rest a bit longer, and you can be discharged.”

My tone was detached, but noticeably less hostile than before, when I wanted to kill her for what she’d done to Celina.

Cira seemed to sense the change in me. She held her arm out. “Xavien, may I hug you? Please?” Her voice trembled as she added, “I don’t mean anything by it. I’m just upset that from now on, I’ll only be like a sister to you.”

Fresh tears spilled down her cheeks.

Most men would have fallen for such a display, and despite myself, I felt my resolve waver. After a brief hesitation, I stepped closer to her bedside.

The moment I was within reach, Cira lunged at me like a water snake, wrapping her arms around my neck and her legs around my waist.

“Cira-” My voice was rough, a warning.

She clung tighter, her breath hot and uneven against my ear. “Don’t,” she whispered, lips brushing my jaw. “Just… don’t push me away. Your little sister missed her lollipop.”

Her fingers dug into my shoulders, nails biting into my flesh as she rocked against me, her body already wet enough that I could feel it through my pants.

“Fuck, Xavien,” she murmured. Her hips rolled again, grinding with purpose, her thighs squeezing tight around me as if terrified I’d pull away. Maybe I should have. But the way her heat pressed against me, hot and eager, made it impossible to think clearly.

Her hand slipped between us, fumbling with my zipper, and I didn’t stop her. The moment she freed me, her fingers wrapped around me, stroking slowly, teasingly.

“See how hard you are?” she murmured, lips trailing along my jaw. “You can lie to yourself, but your cock doesn’t.”

I should have pushed her away. Should have walked out before this went any further. But the second her thumb swiped over the head of my cock, smearing precum, my resolve shattered.

Cira wasted no time. She yanked her panties aside, guiding me inside her, and then-fuck-she sank down on me in one smooth motion, her pussy clenching tight like she’d been waiting for this all night.

“God, yes,” she moaned, arching against me, her breasts pressing into my chest as she began to ride me-slow at first, then faster-her nails raking down my back. “Feels so good, doesn’t it? Fucking me like this?”

My hands gripped her hips hard. My eyes squeezed shut. I didn’t answer.

[Just one more time.]

[It doesn’t mean anything.]

[Cecilia won’t know.]

If I never say a word…

Then maybe it never really happened.

Celina

Harlow had just come back from the grocery store when my phone began to ring. Balancing the bags on one arm, she quickly answered, her voice a little distracted.

After a brief exchange, she turned toward me, her brows knitting together with worry.

“My mom pulled a muscle in her back. I need to go help her,” she explained, already setting the groceries down on the kitchen counter.

I waved her off from my spot on the couch, trying to reassure her with a small smile.

“It’s really okay,” I said softly. “I’ll be fine. I can just order some takeout. You should go take care of your mom.”

She hesitated, her eyes searching mine as if unsure whether to believe me.

“Promise me you’ll text me if you even sneeze, alright?” she insisted, still half in her shoes, the grocery bag dangling loosely from her arm as if she couldn’t decide whether to stay with me or leave for her mother.

“I promise,” I nodded.

But the moment the door clicked shut behind her, the apartment suddenly felt a little too silent. I could sense her reluctance to leave me alone, but what else could she do? Her mother needed her more than I did. After all, I was a grown woman capable of managing a night by myself, injured or not.

Yet, it seemed the Moon Goddess had other plans for my evening.

Less than fifteen minutes later, my phone rang again. Seeing Lian’s name flashing on the screen made me pause. Why would he be calling at this hour? A flicker of doubt crept into my mind.

I answered cautiously. “Hello?”

“Miss Celina,” came Lian’s cheerful voice, “your friend Harlow ran into Beta Sawyer in the elevator. She mentioned you’d be alone tonight and asked if we could check in on you.”

My body suddenly tensed. Wait, she did what? I wasn’t sure if I should be impressed by the initiative or just mildly alarmed.

“Alpha Sebastian wanted me to see if you’d be comfortable with that,” Lian continued. “Since we’re all males, he thought you might prefer to decline.”

I stared up at the ceiling, feeling trapped in a social dilemma. What was I supposed to say? [Yes, I’m thrilled to spend time with three male wolves, especially when one of them is my boss whose thighs I accidentally touched today?]

“I don’t mind,” I said, forcing a cheerful tone I didn’t truly feel.

I tucked a stray lock of hair behind my ear and glanced nervously toward the door.

“But isn’t that too much trouble? Actually-“

“No trouble at all!” Lian interrupted, his voice bright and eager. “I made butternut squash soup. I’ll bring some down for you.”

My eyes widened as a wave of panic rose inside me.

“No, no! That’s for Alpha Sebastian. I can’t drink his soup!”

Lian gasped dramatically, as if I’d just insulted the very idea of soup.

“Well, then here’s my solution-he can join you. Or better yet, you come upstairs, and you all dine together.”

“WHAT? No!” I exclaimed, practically leaping off the couch.

My heart pounded wildly against my ribs, desperate to escape.

The mere thought of sitting across from Alpha Sebastian at the dinner table was enough to scramble my brain.

“Lian, please! I’ve already ordered takeout!”

He actually winced at the word.

“Takeout? While you’re recovering from the infusion at home? Absolutely not.”

His tone turned firm, almost offended, like I’d suggested eating cardboard.

“Your body needs proper nourishment to heal. I’ll come down to get you, and you’ll have dinner with Alpha Sebastian. It’s settled!”

“Lian, wait-“

The line went dead.

I stared at my phone in disbelief.

Going upstairs. Dinner. With Alpha Sebastian.

Each idea was more terrifying than the last.

I gave Lian the door code, planning to negotiate when he arrived. Surely, I could talk him out of this ridiculous dinner plan.

But when the door swung open, it wasn’t Lian who stepped inside.

Instead, Alpha Sebastian himself appeared.

My breath caught sharply, like a zipper snagged on fabric. He wore casual beige loungewear that somehow made him look even more elegant than his usual tailored suits. The fabric draped perfectly over his tall, lean frame, and without the formality of his work clothes, I could better appreciate the strong line of his broad shoulders and the graceful curve of his neck.

All my carefully rehearsed protests vanished like morning mist.
