Jaden smiles pulling me hand in hand as we return to the pack house.
The crowd had settled and Lord Perry stood tall addressing them.
It hits me, Lord Perry would want Carter dead. I always suspected he was part of the crown.

Lord Perry’s eyes settle on us, his expression cold.

With a nod, Jaden pulls me struggling through the crowd to the front climbing the stairs to where Lord Perry is standing.
“It’s with great sadness tonight that we witness the death of our soon-to-be Alpha but that shouldn’t stop us, we have our very own Alpha who has brought this pack thus far since I stepped down, and tonight with open hands we welcome Jaden as or Alpha once more” the crowd cheers then Lord Perry steps back for Jaden to step up, with a nod of approval to talk to them.
“Good evening everyone not quite long ago Carter had come to claim what was his, but we pray, the moon Goddess guide so what happens tonight is of her will, respect to the decreased, Carter would have been an amazing leader and has started his journey on giving this pack solidarity today I am here to continue that mission with my Luna Hailey Stewarts” he looks up to me his eyes gleaming.
The crowd murmurs as the words leave Jaden’s mouth.
And honestly, I can’t blame them. We have been deprived of this moment for a long while and I’m glad the roller coaster ride is finally over.
He ignores them reaching his hand forward to me, I hesitate a little in fear something might go wrong.
He looks up at me and steps closer pulling my hand in his, drawing me to his side and looking at me directly into my eyes.
“Jaden,” Lord Perry says. “It is too early to make Hailey your Luna she had just decided to be Carter’s Luna she could easily betray the pack”
Yes, that is true! The crowd supports.

“Hold on everyone” Jaden yells in a strong tone. “Hailey has been misunderstood, the lady in front of you saved my life by sealing a promise with Carter that if I live she belonged to him she sacrificed herself for me, you can all agree to she did that out of love, and tonight she tracked down Carter’s killer dashing after him after the shot was fired ab act if bravery this woman in front of us all possesses traits of being a luna I understand why the throne wanted her no matter who ruled on it “
Holding my hand again he looks into my eyes gripping my hand firmly.
“Hailey Stewarts from the time we’ve met to this moment I have never been so sure of anything besides you being mine, in sickness and in health, when trials and challenges come along to face them with you, to protect you and keep you safe on rainy days or sunny, in spring, summer, autumn or winter to grow this pack to support me when things go bad, to carry my children and stay with me till death will you be my luna”
My heart melts and I have to blink back a few times to stop the tears from rolling.
