Life’s Spiced Up with Some Werewolf Reads

Chapter 36 – Deceiving my Big Bad Alphas (Kai Savage) Novel Free Online Free by Nina P

Guess there’s a first time for everything.

Dalton moved-like a shadow-hand slowly reaching out toward Kai’s cheek.

I didn’t think. Just acted.

Snapped my hand out and grabbed his wrist mid-air, right before it could cross the edge of the canopy curtains.

His head snapped toward me. I mouthed, “They already hate us. Do not add night-stalking to our shit list.”

list.”sta

He exhaled, barely nodding. Shame crept over his face like a tide.

Good.

I let go and turned to my bed.

Stripped bare. Grabbed my toothbrush and walked into the bathroom. I needed two minutes to cool down before my own impulses got the better of me.

The image of Kai curled in bed-a bed that could be our bed very soon was burned into the back of my eyelids.

I didn’t want to scare them. Didn’t want to rush anything. But I wanted. Bad.

I’d wait.

For now.

Ping.

Dalton’s phone.

I frowned. Finished brushing and stepped back into the room, towel slung over my shoulder.

He was sitting on the edge of his bed, stripping his shirt off.

I rolled my eyes. Great. Another night of Dalton’s strip tease.

Whatever. I’d tell him tomorrow to turn the ringtone off-Kai needed to sleep. They’d been through enough today.

I stepped back into the bathroom.

Ping.

My head popped out again.

Dalton was hunched over his phone, tapping furiously.

His body tense. Rigid.

A crazy idea hit me.

Could he?

I stepped out.

Locked eyes with him.

His face had gone pale-like he’d seen a ghost.

Motherfuc.ker.

I ducked back into the bathroom.

Ping.

I knew it. I fu.cking knew it.

Storm broke in my chest as all of these thoughts came roaring out of me. Rage. I came barreling out of the bathroom like thunder, crossed the room in three strides, and tackled him straight onto his bed.

We hit the mattress hard. His phone slipped out of his hands.

“You sick piece of sh.it!” I roared, fist already swinging.

He blocked the first punch, caught me with his elbow. We rolled, clawing and snarling like wild dogs in a cage.

We’d fought before.

Over power.

Over borders.

Over pride.

But never like this.

This was personal.

This was war.

“You motherf.cker,” I growled.

Dalton barely turned before I launched myself at him again.

“Derrick!” he barked, trying to shove me off.

But I was gone.

All I could see was his betrayal.

My fist connected with his jaw, knuckles splitting on impact.

“Spying on them?!” I shouted. “In the shower? What the f.ck is wrong with you?!”

He grabbed my wrist, twisted, slammed me against the wall-but I barely registered the pain.

I roared and kicked off the plaster, throwing us both back onto the bed.

“I didn’t see anything! I swear!”

“Bullsh.t!”

A punch. A grunt. Blood on his lip. Blood on mine.

He kneed me in the ribs-I elbowed him in the face.

“You sick, sneaky bastard! How long were you watching them?!”

“I wasn’t watching them for pleasure!” he snarled.

“Oh yeah? You just popped into the feed for fun?!”

“I needed to know!”

“Know what?!”

“If they were female.”

I stopped.

Breathing hard. Chest heaving. Fists clenched.

Dalton’s voice cracked. “I was going crazy. Not knowing. It-it was messing with my head. I thought… if I knew…”

“What? You’d feel better?! That justifies it for you?!”

“I didn’t see anything. I stopped. I was going to delete the files tomorrow, Derrick. I swear.”

I laughed. A bitter, raw sound.

“Oh, how noble. Your precious conscience showed up after the peep show. And I’m supposed to believe that makes it okay?” I asked, fumming.

“What the f.ck does it change, Dalton? If they’re male or female?” I wasn’t looking for an

answer.

“It changes nothing!” I bellowed. “Because they’re mine!”

Dalton’s eyes glowed. “No. They’re mine!”

We clashed again-bare skin against bare skin, fists hammering, claws starting to break through. Our wolves were rising. Nails turning to talons. Canines lengthening.

“I won’t let you touch them,” I hissed. “You’re filth.”

“They’re not a prize to be won, you arrogant f.cker!”

“Better me than a goddamn voyeur!”
