Life’s Spiced Up with Some Werewolf Reads

Chapter 58 – Deceiving my Big Bad Alphas (Kai Savage) Novel Free Online Free by Nina P

‘Mine. Ours. Bite the little mouse.’

Not yet. Control yourself.

I growled under my breath and dropped into another set of squats, letting the pain rip through me like a leash on my instincts.

She dropped to the mat, arms overhead, back arching-

“Fuck,” I hiss.

Dalton chuckled without looking. “You seeing this?”

“She’s trying to end us.”

“I’d let her.”

I glance at him, but I don’t hate him for once. Not right now. We’re both drowning in the same damn storm.

Possessed. Obsessed. Fucked.

“Onyx wants to rip your throat out,” I mutter as I rack the weights again. “But he’s also… impressed.”

Dalton grunts, sweat rolling down his jaw. “Tell your mutt I’m flattered.”

“He thinks you’re a possessive freak.”

“Then he gets it.” I pause, eyeing him. There’s something different in his tone-less mocking, more haunted.

“You know what I thought the first time I saw her?” he says, not looking at me. “I thought,” Shit. I’m already too late.”

My jaw tightens. “Because of me?”

He shakes his head slowly. “Because of her. She’s the kind of girl that stains your bloodstream. You don’t get rid of her. You drown in her.”

Yeah.

That sounded about right.

I grunt through the last of my set and let the bar slam down. My lungs burned. Sweat ran down my spine. The world is blurry around the edges, but I only see her.

She’s moved now, curled against the wall behind the squat rack. Hoodie up. Legs folded. Eyes on her phone. Earbuds in.

I should be lifting. Punching. Anything to keep my wolf in check.

Instead, I’m just watching her.

Because pretending she isn’t mine? It’s eating me alive,

Onyx paces beneath my skin.

‘Too far, Bring her closer. Need her. Now

‘She’s not ready.’

‘She’s ours.

‘She’s also playing a dude.

My wolf growls. Doesn’t give a damn. He only knows what she smells like. What she feels like. What she sounds like when-

She laughs,

And it’s not the usual sarcastic snort she liked to throw my way. Not the annoyed grumble she spits at Dalton.

It’s real.

Bright, Soft, Raw,

It hit like a fucking punch to the chest.

I snapped my head toward her.

She’s leaning back against the wall, laughing into her palm, one leg stretched out like she

doesn’t have a care in the world.

And I see red.

I can’t hear the voice on the other end, but I don’t need to.

Whoever made her laugh like that-I want them dead.

Dalton notices too. He stops mid-rep, breath hitching.

“She doesn’t laugh like that at us,” he mutters.

“She shouldn’t laugh like that at anyone else.”

My legs move before my brain catches up. Dalton doesn’t stop me.

Kai’s still giggling, murmuring into the phone. “No, you hang up. Shut up-“

I ripped the earbud out of her ear.

She jerked up, eyes wide. “What the fuck, Derrick?!”

“Who is it?” I asked, voice low. Controlled. Deadly.

She clutches the phone tighter. “None of your goddamn business.”

I step closer, watching the way her throat tightens, how her breath shudders.

“You sure about that, little mouse?” I murmur, tilting my head.

Her cheeks flush. Her eyes darken. And for a second-I feel it. That pull. That magnetic burn between us.

She glares. “It’s my brother, you psycho!”

I blink. Once.

Her brother.

Of course.

I took a step back. My jaw clenches as I turn away, Onyx snarling in disappointment.

Kai shouts after me, “You don’t get to go all alpha stalker on me just because your wolf’s got a hard-on!”

I don’t respond.

I can’t.

Because she’s right.

But it doesn’t change a damn thing.

She’s mine.

Then the door banged shut.

Heavy footsteps.

Shit.

Alpha Leo strolled in like he owned the place and he kind of did. Combat Techniques instructor, ex-special ops, and a living legend in the Alpha world.

He stopped a few paces in, arms crossed over his barrel chest, eyes raking over us with a grin that spelled trouble.

“What the hell are you three still doing here?” he asked, voice gruff but laced with amusement. “Didn’t I already half-kill you in drills this morning? What, I need to crank the difficulty up now? Thought I’d finally found the limit of what young Alphas could take.”

Dalton snorted, dropping from the bar with a loud thud.

“No, Alpha. Just had some free time. Wanted to work on our muscle groups.”

Alpha Leo raised a brow. “More like you’re already suffering from lack of pussy.”

Dalton choked. I wiped my face with my shirt and turned away to hide the twitch in my jaw.

Leo laughed. “Come on, don’t give me that look. I was your age once. Hormones all over the place, d**k making more decisions than my brain. I had a different girl in my bed every night in high school.” He gave us a shit-eating grin. “College was the slap I needed to get my head outta the gutter.”

He walked further into the room, casually stretching out his shoulders like this was a conversation over coffee instead of a verbal punch to the gut.

“You’ll get there too, boys. Eventually.”

I swallowed down the snarl building in my throat and forced myself to breathe through my nose.
