He didnt know how Selena paired up her wolves, but he was right this minute, wondering if she did it to see if her wolves would choose love over a mate bond.
Give them the option of seeing the difference, and making a choice that best suited them.
Most would opt to take a Gifted Mate over a Chosen, and he knew that.
It was also the preferred for an Alpha Luna bond.
Seen to bring more strength to the pack if they were a Goddess Gifted pair.
But right this minute, he didn’t think so; he thought it was more about a mated pair just loving each other, regardless of whether they were Chosen or Gifted.
Selena was likely punishing him now for not making the right decision.
Not that he could fix it now.
He didn’t even know where Belladonna was.
Carina was still jealous of a she wolf that wasn’t even here in the pack, one that had left the day she’d arrived.
She no longer had anything to be jealous of, but it seemed she couldn’t let go of the fact that he’d had a chosen mate before her.
Brought any argument with her back to Belladonna.
He leaned back in his chair and sighed and wondered if Belladonnas life had gotten any easier, was she happy out there without him, or did a part of her miss him, like he did her.
Parker
That came out this morning, Kane told him, putting the paper in front of him.
He was in his office, now reading an article in the local newspaper, one that was normally out to tarnish his name.
But it was an interview from Belladonna herself.
A simple but clear statement.
There was a photo of Belladonna to go with the article.
Reportedly taken from the interview which was conducted via Skype.
She had nothing bad to say about him.
Stated they’d had a quiet amicable divorce, and that she’d gotten everything she’d asked for in the divorce.
It stated that Parker had never cheated on her, and that she wished him well with his new wife.
But when the reporter asked where she was, she’d stated she was working at a university hospital, but had declined to state which one.
Had stated with a chuckle he’d not run her off out of the state or country, she’d just moved on to a place that needed her skillset was all.
But it was clear she knew what was going on in his world, and she had tried to help him out, tried to stop the bad press around him, even though she wasn’t affiliated with him anymore.
Parker sighed to himself as he read her words, she was a good person, a brilliant doctor and a caring Luna for his pack, a gentle caring soul.
Still loyal, it appeared, to her former mate, even though she’d thought she was sold and a slave to him.
Hopefully, the stocks will go back up.
Its a good article and states she contacted the newspaper herself.
Though I believe they were hunting for her, seeing she was nowhere to be found, Kane stated.
Likely, opted to contact them, to stop them actively tracking her down and hounding her about an interview.
She could well still be local, for all we know.
Shannon nodded, seeing all that’s going on.
At a university hospital? Axel commented.
Mm she could be a medical tutor, but its likely it’s a teaching hospital, or a pack that is in the medical field.
I believe there are a few human world hospitals that are owned and staffed by wolfen packs. Parker stated after thinking it through.
Not many of those though, Kane commented.
Are you worried, Kane? Parker asked his Beta.
Honestly, yes.
She was not only your Mate, but our Luna and a good pack member as well.
Everyone liked her, it would be nice to know that she was somewhere safe, is all.
Parker nodded.
But she’d completely cut ties with him, so she could go and live her life as she wanted to now.
It was nice to know she was safe and had found somewhere to go, and she looked good, healthy and happy.
He could only presume from the new scrubs she was wearing in that photo; royal blue with a black trim along the neckline, that they were the colour of her new pack.
Her usual scrubs were bright and colourful, and he knew she’d taken all her scrubs with her.
It was time to let go of her completely.
It had been over a month now, nearly two in fact, and though life had moved on for him.
He still missed her at times.
They’d lost two pups now along with that she wolf in the time she was gone.
Carina was not at all interested in being in the birthing suite and Annette was doing her best.
Though she’d come to him yesterday with full concerns about the three deaths in the past two months, since Belladonna had left.
There wasn’t anything he could do about it, but Annettes’ concerns were about the further pregnant she-wolves that were due in four months’ time; all those that had gotten pregnant around the time Bella herself had gone into heat that last time.
He’d sat staring up at Annette, and then he had just sighed I can try to bring in other doctors to help you, Annette.
I’d prefer you track Bella down and bring her back here … even if it’s just for a short internship of a few weeks.
Parker had sighed I dont know where she is, Annette.
Do you have any idea at all? she asked him.
No, all I heard about her leaving from Kane was that she’d had her eyes on the Wolfen intranets medical listings for jobs within other packs.
Oh … I can check that; one needs your medical licence number for access to that.
I can check previous listings.
May I Alpha? He’d stared at her for a long minute as he thought about it, Probably best not to Annette, she left willing.
Annette frowned right at him now, as though she wanted to say something, but was not sure if it was appropriate considering he was her Alpha.
Just state it, Annette.
Of course, Bella left you when you rejected her, for your Goddess Gifted Mate, that you brought home and put right in front of her to see.
Parker stared at her for a moment.
