Chapter 34 – Belladonna The Rejected Luna

She’d stated simply So please excuse me if I’m not here with Aston, Ill likely be doing Luna Blessings.

He’d queried her about their pack doctors, he couldn’t help himself, Annette was still on him about bringing in more doctors.

Though Mala had stated Bell is one of the best in the business, came to us highly recommended by the Wolfen Council themselves.

Aston had then stated, Bell is a blessing, came to us four years ago and has been here ever since.

Fits in well, is rejected like so many others here.

then he’d shaken his head She has much in common with the pack.

It had sounded as though they weren’t going to give up their doctor, so he’d let it go.

He’d not connected the dots Belle to Belladonna.

He’d not considered it would be his former Mate.

He knew many she wolves in other packs named Belle.

It was quite a common wolfen name.

Now he knew it was her, his Belladonna, she was here in the Hollowed Moon.

He was happy to see she was doing well.

Then he wondered if he would get the opportunity to speak with her, see where she’d been before coming here.

Though even as he thought that, this pack had half a dozen pups to be delivered in the next few days, he knew she’d be living in her doctors office, sleeping on the couch, she would have in there, so it was unlikely.

He wondered absently as he turned in for the night if her reputation still proceeded her, and her safe delivery of pups and healthy she wolves still remained intact.

He could ask tomorrow, he supposed, though neither Mala nor Aston had commented on him being her ex.

That made him wonder if Belladonna had told them who her previous Mate was? They’d not said anything to him, not rejected the request to have him bring wolves here either, it was entirely possible that they had no idea who he was to Belladonna.

Likely still didn’t unless Belladonna had just mind-linked them about them, she’d not looked angry or upset at seeing him, just shocked was all.

He was still smiling as he walked into his suite.

Kane looked right at him. Now Parker, what makes you so happy? his Beta asked him curiously.

I just saw Belladonna, he stated, and it gained his entire unit’s attention. She’s the pack doctor, I just saw her running across the pack in dark pink scrubs.

He chuckled softly.

Racing off to a delivery of a pup? Shannon asked him.

Mm, appears so.

he nodded she yelled out the word pup to me, when I called out her name, as she ran on by.

Still as dedicated as ever then, Kane smiled.

Parker nodded.

Howd she look? Axel asked him.

He stated simply Alpha Aston stated shes been here for four years.

Im curious where she was before that, but its good to see shes found a nice safe place to be.

He showered and changed, streched out on his bed still smiling to himself, that dark pink had suited her, though with her running full tilt across the pack he’d not been able to see the left side of her neck where filigree would go.

He was curious, she was lovely to look at, polite and well mannered all the time, quiet by Pont nature and never caused any trouble, had been the perfect Mate.

Would he knew make for that again, to any Mate she had.

Though Astons words about her having much in common with the others that had come here, that bothered him a little.

He wondered now, if she’d came here after being rejected by another Mate? He thought about that.

No, he didnt think a Goddess Gifted would ever reject her.

She was beautiful, intelligent, and a doctor; she would be highly regarded in any pack she went to.

Though that, once again, made him wonder how she’d come to be here four years ago.

She’d been recommended by the Wolfen Council he’d been told.

A frown touched his face as he contemplated reasons why she would have anything to do with the Wolfen Council.

Usually that wasn’t a good thing.

Those words of Astons were actually bugging him now, he hoped she had not found a horrid mate and run to escape him.

He rolled over and stared out the window of his room.

That wasn’t a nice thought for him at all.

The thought of someone hurting her was making him a little uncomfortable inside his chest.

She’d left him to start her life over, and he’d let her go, had no choice but to.

He had a Goddess Gifted.

One that was still loud and very opinionated, clicked around those high heels of hers all over the packhouse.

Insisted on wearing only the latest in fashion, couldn’t be seen outside the pack in last years collection.

He was betting on Belladonna living in those scrubs like she pretty much had inside his pack, never asked for anything and only ever bought things related to the hospital.

He’d never seen her in dark pink like that before, new scrubs he thought absently, as sleep finally started to claim him.

It was a long morning as well, and she talked to Whit between births that next day.

She had a runner holding her phone out to her before she started the caesarean she was about to perform.

Hey Whit, sorry sweetie, Ive got an emergency surgery to attend to.

Its okay, mum.

Uncle Ben said its gaming day in his house, and there are heaps of others coming to challenge him, and Aunty Bella is off to get one of the snack carts from the theater room.

Luna Mala told us we could have one.

Bella chuckled The Luna spoils all of you, I see.

Well, mum, both Chance and Flynn are here too he laughed.

I’ll try to come and see you after lunch or … maybe dinner.

It’s okay, mum, don’t stress, my day is going to be all gaming.

He sounded happy to her ear, which was good.

She’d ended the call and looked at Matilda, an omega ranked she wolf who was mated to an elite warrior.

She was very tiny in build and her pup was too big for her to deliver naturally.

Everything will be fine Matilda.
