Life’s Spiced Up with Some Werewolf Reads

Chapter 50 – Belladonna The Rejected Luna

Or what memories she held onto, or even if she held any at all.

Parker

He was sitting in the foyer of the Hollowed Moon staring out the window, he and his wolves had arrived an hour ago, and he was tempted to stroll down to the pack hospital, to find Belladonna, to talk to her.

Wanted to talk to her about her life and what was going on in it.

He was more than curious about her and the life she had lived.

When he saw a whole bunch of children go running passed the front of the packhouse, all laughing, carrying presents.

Off to a birthday party, he thought absently to himself as a smile touched his face.

Everyone here always seemed happy.

Though his smile, after only a moment faulted, as his wolf, Vex, shot up inside his mind and the word ours was snarled out of his beast, completely out of the blue.

He felt Kanes hand land on him, his Beta had felt the sudden change in his Alpha Wolf.

Parker was up a second later and headed outside, his entire unit trailing him, but he lost sight of the children as he moved through the foyer to the front of the packhouse and his eyes only found them once again, when outside those children were still racing away along the packhouse.

Vex was certain one of them was his pup, he could feel there was a kin bond being snapped into place.

Parker held himself to the spot, it wasn’t possible, those children all looked to be under 12.

Vex had to be wrong, and in a group like that, he couldn’t tell which child it was, hadnt actually been face to face with them.

Just seen them all running by, though the window had looked at many of their happy smiling faces, likely so had Vex, and he’d seen something Parker had not.

He had no idea if it was a boy or a girl, didn’t even know if he truly believed what was happening right this minute, it couldn’t be.

Surely his beast had to be wrong.

He turned and walked back inside as those children disappeared around the corner of the building.

He needed to think about it.

Had they been wrong? Not wrong.

We have a pup.

Vex snarled at him.

How? Parker asked his beast.

They’d had two mates in the past 17 years, with no break between them.

He was faithful to both of them, there was only a few hours break between Belladonna and Carina, and he’d not slept with anyone at all in that time it would cause Carina pain.

It was confusing to him.

What is it, Parker? Kane asked him.

Our suite, now.

He stated flatly and stalked off.

He could feel annoyance rolling off his beast.

Vex, wanted Parker to go out there and track that kin bond, to find out who their pup was.

But Parker knew that he couldn’t just go all Alpha on this pack, it was nearly a thousand strong, a full warrior pack.

He’d likely lose his head and so would his unit.

Going out there and trying to claim a child he knew nothing about, not even who the mother was, would be seen as an aggressive act that could well start a war.

Though his brain was now ticking like crazy on who the possibility of that child’s mother was.

It couldn’t be though, she would have told him, she wasn’t heartless and cruel.

Also knew he would have been happy about it.

Parker banged into his suite on the first floor and stopped in the middle of the room.

His unit were all just standing staring at him, waiting for an explanation to come from him about his sudden change of mood.

Vex has sensed a kin bond with one of those children that just ran by the packhouse.

He stated flatly.

His unit were really staring at him now, with very wide eyes, and he knew why they couldn’t fathom it either.

He scrubbed a hand over his face as he heard Kane state An heir to your pack, here inside the Hollowed Moon? Apparently so, he nodded.

You didn’t sense that the last time you were here, Parker.

Shannon murmured, sounding thoughtful.

I did not.

Parker agreed with his Gamma, Though I dont really recall coming across any children when last here.

He stated thoughtfully to himself, and if he didn’t know about the child, that meant that he and Vex would have to lay eyes on it to feel that kin bond snap into place, or gotten close enough to smell the child’s bloodline.

He’d also not been looking for that.

Why would he be? It wasn’t like being in your own pack where the minute they set foot on your pack territory you could feel it, the land reacted to the bloodline, and ones wolf picked it up very quickly and hunted out what was theirs, even if they didn’t know about it, could feel it.

An unknown heir to them off pack territory meant one had to lay eyes on the child, or come face to face with them directly to have that kin bond snap into place.

He’d not really been paying attention to what the children looked like, just watched them run on by and thought they looked happy.

Those kids weren’t that old, not teens.

Axel stated.

No.he agreed I’d say 12 and under.

Then how is it possible? Shannon asked him now.

There is only one possibility in my eyes … Belladonna.

He sighed, he’d never have let her go if she’d told him she was pregnant.

He thought back to that, him and her, she’d gone into heat prior to him leaving to go to that mating ball.

I didn’t sense anything about a pup prior to her leaving.

He murmured She didn’t smell any different to me.

I also didn’t get anything from her that day, Parker, Shannon stated, and I would have, seeing as I had my hands on her.

To help ease the pain of rejection … there was nothing, she didn’t think once about a pup.

Didn’t have any fear of trying to hide it from you, nothing like that.

His Gamma shook his head And she leaned on me, allowed me to willingly help her, was completely open to me as her Gamma.

I was also with her all afternoon, Kane stated.
