She doesn’t like Alphas much.
Especially ones trying to claim things that are not theirs, sets of all her needs to duel them and put them down.
I hope, for your sake, your claim is actually valid, or you could see my Luna kicking your ass, and don;t think she cant.
Parker frowned at him, he knew Malas reputation, everyone did that attended those fighting arenas.
He’d not gone to one in a long time, but everyone knew about that wolf less girl and her ex Alpha mate that had harmed her.
Ill make the meeting for 9am, Aston finally stated after giving Parker a few minutes to think about Mala, and if he still wanted to stake a claim, he’d not rescind it though he had the right to meet his child and heir.
That will give Bell time to do her morning rounds.
She’s got a teen in traction she needs to check on first thing.
Aston stated, You may go, Alpha Parker, Aston stated and waved him out of the room.
Parker did leave the mans office and walked straight to his suite.
He was going to have to contain himself, be calm and logical.
Didn’t want to tick off Luna Mala, or Belladonna for that matter, not really, she was the mother of his child and he had loved her, wanted a child with her.
Perhaps it was as Shannon thought, she was just protecting her child from what she thought its life would be like.
How her own life had turned out, being mated off because she was the illegitimate daughter of an Alpha, and unwanted by the Luna to her pack.
He sighed to himself, but at least he would get some answers in the morning.
Bella
She looked at Aston with a frown marring her face as she walked down the hospital corridor, as he told her that Parker wanted to have a formal meeting with her. “Why?” she asked in return.
Though he did get up and greet her nearly every time he saw her, that too she thought was odd behaviour, from the man that was her ex-mate.
“He’s of the opinion, I believe, that you kept him from his heir.” Aston stated casually.
Bella stopped walking and looked right at him now, raised an eyebrow right at him disbelievingly, only to have Aston actually snort with full amusement, “That is the very look Parker got from me.” he chuckled softly “In fact, it’s the one that Mala also gave me last night when I told her.”
She shook her head and continued on to her office. Aston followed and closed the door.
They both sat down, “Aston, you know as well as I do, he gave up all his rights to my son, before he was even born.” Bella stated simply.
“I know, l’ve seen the paperwork.” Aston nodded, hence why I’m here to have a chat, and delayed that meeting from last night to this morning, even.”
“I don’t understand him. Why now? And not the last time he was here.” she shook her head, it didn’t make sense.
“Well now, that is the curious part, curious enough for me to actually hold this meeting.
But he told myself and Simon that he felt a kin bond and scented out his own kin. He was very confused about it. That it could only be you as the mother to his child, there was no one else.
He was faithful to you…was he?”
“Yes.” She nodded. “Didn’t so much as brush a hand on another not that I felt.”
“So, you believe he’d be faithful to his new Mate?” Aston asked her now.
“Yes, he is a man of his word.”
“Alright, the day I feel will be interesting for you and I then, not so much him.” He smiled. “Mala will be in the office. Though we have our own theory after a very long discussion.” He waved off her look of curiosity “I’ll not get into it with you, let’s just wait and see what he actually has to say for himself. Mala promised to behave unless otherwise needs to be.” he snorted once more “Itching for a good fight, I think she is.” he shook his head. “I might just have to send her and Ben off to the area this year to sort that out.”
“What does that mean?” she frowned at him.
“That she and Suki won’t duel him over it and kick him from the pack until the facts are laid out in full for him, from him. You also have, I believe, one Wolfen Council member that will come to your aid in this matter.”
“Mm, Alpha Gretta did say that if any issues arose, she would come and deal with them.” Bella nodded “I never thought there would be an issue, to be honest. Though she was of the opinion that Alphas change their minds at times, in my case he was having an heir with his Luna, so he relinquished the claim because of that. But then when I left, shed checked on him and there was no heir.”
“Ah, so her concern is that he knows out there somewhere there is an heir, and he lost the one he had with his Luna. So now, he wants to come along and claim your boy as his heir.” Aston nodded. “I see why Gretta stated she would come if need be.”
“It’s just odd.” She was still frowning, him having an heir or not, that man followed all his contracts to the letter. She knew that.”So, Bell, does 9am suit you?” Aston asked her.
She turned to her computer and checked her schedule, then nodded “Yes, what are you expecting from him?”
“Who knows, but from what I saw, he kind of looked completely shocked by this turn of events, that being; him scenting out his own kin. Has yet to figure out if it’s a boy or a girl though. He didn’t get up close and personal, from what I can tell. I’m guessing Whit ran past him at some point, without looking at him.”
She thought about that for a long moment” Mm, likely when we headed home from the party last night. I was chasing all my charges, including Whit. But he knew about him and I, having an heir, so I don’t get the shock. It was all sorted out between Alpha Gretta, his own Luna and himself. Three-way conversations via email, that went back and forth over a few days even. Alpha Gretta included both Parker and Carina…that’s his Luna, right from the first email.”
“I’ve met his Luna.” Aston nodded “So 9am, in my office. I’ve also got copies of your mating alliance and separation agreements, the documents over him relinquishing his rights to Whit as well. I’ll pull those from the files if you’re happy for me to do so.
“Bella nodded, “Go ahead, I have nothing to hide.
“I know that, I also believe you have nothing to worry about, myself and Mala will be there as well, so don’t fear his Alpha mentality or temper.”
“I do not, he’s not that type of Alpha, or wasn’t when I was with him, but that is funny to think about; Parker verses Mala.” She smiled she’d seen Mala train over the years.
“Mm, I’d rather she doesn’t push for a fight with an Alpha wolf, but…” he shook his head “Not something I’d be able to stop either.”
“Hmm, I get the feeling nothing can stop Mala.
But honestly, I don’t think it will come down to that. Tell Mala I’m happy for her to be in the room, but I don’t want a physical fight coming about. No one needs to fight; a sit down and discussion with all the facts should solve the issue. In this case.”
“Good.” Aston nodded and was up and gone from her office.
Bella sat behind her desk and wondered just what was going on inside Parker’s mind. He’d stated his children with Carina were to be the heirs to his pack. Although she knew he’d not had that first child, something had gone wrong.
Surely they had others, if they were having a pup that quickly.
His new Luna was obviously happy to give him them right away, though again there had been none when Whit was four, or not that were registered to the wolfen council as the heir to the pack. She shook her head, he was a stickler for the rules, so she knew that he would register his firstborn to the pack.
Perhaps it was just that, that he and Carina had still yet to produce an heir. Maybe something bad actually happened during the birth, and she was no longer able to conceive a pup. So she having Whit, that would make her son his only surviving heir.
Would that make him change his mind and plead ignorance to their contractual
agreement? … Why wouldn’t he just tell her the truth and see what she had to say on the matter? It was odd.
But by Wolfen law, Whit was her son, and he had no rights at all, she shook it off and got back to work. She’d find out just what he wanted when she went to that meeting.
Though him stating he’d felt a kin bond, that meant he’d not severed it like she’d thought he had. She huffed in annoyance at that thought.
If Whit did happen to walk by Parker he would know who the man was. Would have a million questions.
She didn’t want him coming across Parker, without her standing right there next to him, she had no idea what Parker would tell the boy.
He was nine now and knew he didn’t have a dad, though he’d never asked questions about it. Had touched her scar once but not asked what happened to her Mate. He’d just stared at her for a long minute and then wandered off.
She’d have answered him if he asked.
Likely, her son was going to want answers now, but at least he was old enough to see the paperwork himself which showed there was no nasty battle over him. That Parker had given him up. Though that wasn’t going to be a nice feeling for him. Being here inside this pack, it was likely with all the stories that were heard, he could well think she was one of the rejected that ran off with him.
Bella
She walked into Alpha Astons office after doing her rounds, and getting coffee from the packs dining room, she arrived dead on 9am.
The door was closed, and she could see several Alphas sitting around.
She knocked on the door and stepped in when asked to, Aston is this meeting affecting your day with your allied alphas? No, Bell, the full moon isn’t until tonight, so it’s fine, they’re just sitting around chatting and allowing their wolves to socialise with the others here, that is all that happens the day of the full moon.
She nodded I just didn’t want your day to be interrupted.
Aston smiled at her.
