He’d been so very busy with nearly a hundred emails every damned day, dozens before he was even up and in his office, he’d spend a lot of his time with the PR team trying to handle it.
Was that now done on purpose so he wouldn’t know about the pup, and if so? There was only one inside his pack that he could think of that wouldn’t want him knowing about his own heir.
Carina herself still hated the mention of Belladonna’s name, and this was likely why she pitched a fit when someone mentioned her coming back to the pack, even to help out.
If she knew about his child she wouldn’t ever want Belladonna inside his pack.
But would she go to those lengths, just to deceive him, and right from the very beginning of their Mate bond? In such a horrible manner?

She got a mind link from Mala to tell her that Parker had gone back to his suite, and that she’d had Whit brought up to her suite playing Xbox games with Chance and Flynn, just so that there wasn’t any chance of run ins with Parker himself.
That it was clear Parker had never severed his kin bond, so to stop Whit from feeling it at this time, until the mess that she foresaw coming was sorted out, he could hang out with her children in the Alpha Suite.
Bella thanked her for the help.
She didn’t know what to make of the situation right this minute, he’d looked utterly shocked before she’d left that office, dumbfounded by her words even, she thought.
Then she found Alpha Aston in her office an hour later.
He sat himself across from her and looked right at her.
A full curiosity it is, he nodded as he looked at her.
Parker is adamant that he has no knowledge of his and your child.
That if he’d known he would never have given up his rights.
That he wouldn’t have even let you birth the child alone, and would have been in the birthing suite with you for the birth of your son.
Would want to raise his son with you, together.
Mm, she nodded, that is what I originally thought he would want to happen, when Gretta was sorting it all out.
I thought that it was very odd myself, that he just released his claim on our son, and did it so very easily.
And she had, though Gretta had told her she’d seen it before, so it wasn’t that unusual to her or those on the Wolfen Council; so Bella had let it go.
What do you think happened then? Aston asked her.
I dont know, Bella shook her head.
Gretta did, from my knowledge, converse with both Parker and his Luna, it is all above board as far as I know, as far as Gretta knows, even.
But something I think is actually amiss here, Bell, he sighed now.
He’s very unhappy.
That is not my problem, though now, is it? she replied.
It could well be, if things are amiss … Aston answered her, and leaned back in his chair and stared at her for several minutes You re a curious one yourself, you know that right.
Get regular visits from Selena, to see your wolf.
Mm, though Im not privy to those conversations between them, kind of just black out or fall into deep slumber when that happens.
She shrugged, and she did, she would see Selena walking towards her wolf and then everything around her would fade away to nothingness, and she’d find herself curled up inside Freyas mind, something that always felt all soft and warm around her.
Felt happy and comfortable, settled, and it was almost as if that warmth radiated to her was a part of herself, or that she belonged to it.
Though in that darkness she never saw anything at all, she could only guess that if there was something in there, it was all black like the surroundings.
She’d come around and Selena would be gone, and Freya would either be quiet, and release her body back to her to curl up and sleep inside her mind for a few days.
She’d asked Freya once what it was all about, and her wolf had yawned and told her Moon Goddess business.
If she wanted you to know, she wouldn’t put you to sleep every time.
Her wolf was a law unto herself, conversed privately with their Moon Goddess, though it was always when Freya was in control and out wandering in the woods.
She also always felt unhappy to see Selena, they had some sort of unique bond, but it was starting to bother Bella now.
Because Freya was starting to feel tired and drained, listless at times, it was almost like their Moon Goddess was sapping her of her life force.
Though Freya had told her that was nonsense, to think like that.
That Selena would never hurt her, that Selena loved her, and that she was fine.
But that did not ease Bellas concerns, though she did try to push them aside, sometimes she just couldn’t.
Bell? Aston interrupted her thoughts and she knew she’d zoned out there for likely more than a minute.
Sorry just thinking about Freya.
She answered him.
He nodded You dont even understand the wolf, do you.
He seemed to understand her She just shook her head no, because she did not.
Lets leave Freya to her own devices, but I think, Bell.
