Rebel POV
It’s been almost a week since that night with Austin. True to his words, I wasn’t doing much walking the next morning, but I was not complaining. My body continued feeling him inside me for a couple of days after that night.
Lacy and Jane came to visit me the next day with wide grins on their faces and wanting me to spill every detail. I had to practically kick them out. I am not talking about sex with Austin. That is for my knowledge only and I have been loving all the education. Besides, I don’t want to make them jealous!
When I was able to move around again, I had to start slowly, much to Austin’s amusement. I made my way to the library and started reading books from the list that my mate gave me. I have gone through two books so far. On was about being a Luna and the other was basic knowledge on packs and the hierarchy. I’m starting a third boo right now about our kind and things that are good and bad for us. I find this book the most fascinating because it is talking about mate bonds being strong and knowing if one mate is cheating the other feels betrayal pains. It also talks about the most common poisons like Wolfsbane and how it can be administered.
I’m enraptured with the book when I sense my mate coming in the room. I look up and see him, looking sweaty and gorgeous. He looks like he has been working outside again. I don’t know if he was training or working in the mines, but the way the sweat makes his body glisten and the dirt on his arms make him look more rugged, sends an ache to my core and I can smell my arousal. He looks like a man’s man, and he is all mine.
I see him flare his nostrils, “Does my mate like what she sees?” He says with a hint of amusement in his voice.
“Always my Alpha,” I purr, “You have no idea how very enticing you look right now babe.”
He smirks and raises and eyebrow at me. “Is that so little mate? How do I look to you darling?”
I put my book to the side and stand up to walk towards him. I’m very turned on by him right now my arms around his waist and lower my hands to his ass and squeeze. I hear him groan and I ki tell him, “You look like a man’s man. Rugged and sexy and mine.” I tell him and his eyes dark you sweaty and working hard. It’s the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen.” I say and I kiss him again
This time, he doesn’t let go and he deepens the kiss. He moves his hands to the back of my the table nearby us and continues groping my body. When he breaks away, much too soon. and his eyes full of desire.
“As much as I want to take you, right here, right now, and on every available surface, I really moment,” he starts, “I came here because the rest of the supplies for the smokers are here a wanted me to help you build it. Did you want to come down with me and start working on it nipping my earlobe and kissing down my neck all the way to my mark.

“Your monster babe. Maybe next time, I’ll be the one tying you up. It was a pretty incredible experience.” I winked at him and I bend down to start gathering the book I was reading.
Austin POV
Ever since that night with my mate, things feel a lot better between Rebel and me. She opened up to me and told me what was really bothering her. I understand why she feel like I might change my mind. She hasn’t been consistently loved in her life, if at all.
However, since that night, she has thrown herself into learning everything she can. Rebel has also been making herself seen by the pack. Part of me still wonders if she was hiding because she was afraid, I might change my mind. I won’t reopen that discussion though, because it had a positive effect on her.
When I went to see her in the library, I had no idea she would find me attractive in the state I was in. I was filthy but my mate did not care. She was turned on by my ‘rugged’ appearance. I had been working with the warriors in the mines, securing the structure to prevent any collapses so the miners would be safe.
I love that she always wants me. I sure as hell want to bury myself in her. Hell, I want to live inside her and nev come back out. It’s heaven every time I’m buried in her.
What really made me proud though, was seeing her lead my warriors in building the smokers. She has a great mind for designing and building. It’s a bitter reminder to me that we don’t know exactly what she could have accomplished sooner, had she not been robbed of her education.
Renz came back with the scouts regarding her family in the dungeons. I wanted Dylan to go back, since he was there before. Perhaps, he would be able to befriend the omega he spoke to before into helping us extract Rebel’s family. They need to give us answers and then pay for what they did to her.
To my great surprise, Dylan not only saw her again, but he also found out that this omega comes to the Lawson house once a week to keep things clean. She found out, while bringing food to the dungeon for RI’s family, that Cullen only planned to keep Rebel’s family in the dungeons until she saw they were there her that he was getting justice for her. Then he would release them and by then she would be confined to solitude until Cullen wanted to have his way with her.
Dylan told me he was befriending Mary, the omega. Since she brings them food, it would l help and extract Rebel’s family. Mary has already agreed to help. According to my scout. with Mary that Rebel was treated so badly. She hated that none of the omegas could befrie would always try to show their gratitude when she made complex meals for guests. It was they could do without the risk of being fired from their position in the Lawson household.
Mary also said there are two other omegas that would be willing to help us get real justice fo. I see that Rebel was loved there, but no one could show it for fear of retaliatio:rom Rebel’s glad to hear there are some people in the Ironclaw pack that actually wanted he convinced packhouse, to get her ver sat well and all of them and it was all bel. In all of this, ily. It makes me show some humanity to my mate.
Dylan also mentioned something surprising to me. “Alpha, Mary and the other t help us, also want to leave Ironclaw and asked if we could let them join Blackstone. only you as the Alpha could make.”

He seems genuinely surprised I am asking for his opinion. It makes sense to me though, he has built a rapport with the omegas, so his opinion matters.
Chopte 73
“Well, Alpha, they have been nothing short of cooperative. They care about our Luna and they seem to have a distaste for Luna’s family and Alpha Cullen. I think their values aligns with ours.”
Satisfied with his response I tell him, “Very good. Let them know I will meet them when they arrive and invite them to join our pack. Once again, good work Dylan.”
He turns to leave and I think of everything that has been happening in the last couple of weeks. Everything from finding my amazing mate, to the revelations of her family and that bastard Cullen to Alpha Kaden and Rebel’s mother’s pack. I realize I need to call my mother. She has been taking a very long vacation on some island somewhere. I would really like her to be here for the Ceremony. I should have thought of it sooner.
I need to talk to Rebel about these revelations and make sure she knows what is going on before someone tries to fool her into believing otherwise. My mate is smart, without question, but she is learning social settings. I’m glad she has Roxie and her wolf is special. She will help Rebel know who is lying or not.
I also need to tell her about my parents. My father may be gone but my mother will make sure I join him if I forget to tell her about my mate and the Luna Ceremony. It completely slipped my mind. I was too busy enjoying the company of mate.
During dinner, I tell her we are going to my office to talk about what the scouts have found out. Immediately, Renz, Jessup, Lacy and Jane want to hear it as well. I also make mention that Ceraline is still in her cell, and we need to decide what to do with her.
Lacy was the first to react, “Let her rot and die a miserable death in the cell.” she says.
