I feel the finality of our bond snap. I clutch my chest and fold over from the pain. Tears are ru eyes and I feel the heartache and loss in my chest. I scream out in pain and then Alpha Austinsaks again.

“Ceraline Jacobs, I Alpha Austin Willis, hereby banish you from the Blackston: Pack. You will as rogue from this day forward.” He said, following after Michael.

“Consider this my mercy and keeping my promise Ceraline,” He said coldly, “Treason is grounds for execution. Letting you live in any capacity is a privilege I’m allowing. The only reason you live is because of the promise I made to your father.” He finished.

With that, he turns to the guards, “She is to be escorted to the edge of the Western border of the pack lands.

Make sure she is taken beyond the boundaries. She is not to re-enter this pack ever again, understood?”

“Yes, Alpha!” The guards said in unison.

“AUSTIN! PLEASE DON’T DO THIS! PLEASE! I WILL MAKE AMENDS, I SWEAR IT!” I scream. I can’t be banished! I’m in so much pain, I won’t survive it, I know I will be killed by the rogues.

“You should have thought about that before committing treason, Ceraline. Now you will be at the Moon Goddess mercy. I hope she will grant that to you, since you already spat in face with her choice of mate for you.” He said coldly.

With that, he walked away without a second glance.

Michael stood there for a moment. I looked at him with tears in my eyes. “I’m sorry Michael, please forgive me.” I’m in agony and I need to hear him forgive me.

“I have nothing to forgive Ceraline,” he said, “Only the Moon Goddess will decide whether or not to forgi now.” His reply is without emotion but with hurt in his eyes. He turned away and I heard his footsteps fad the distance.

I’m left here with nothing and no one. I’m in pain and misery. I have no family, friends or wealth of my own. I’m going to be cast out into the wilderness with nothing more than the clothes I am wearing and the pain going through my body. The guards looked down at me before picking me up by my arms and dragging me out of the dungeon.

They dragged me through the middle of the pack where everyone could see my shame. I heard whispers from the pack and felt their eyes judging me.

Before the guards led me out completely, I hear Austin’s voice, “Attention everyone!” He boomed from the middle of the pack. His voice carrying to the other side of the pack. “I’m informing everyone now, Ceraline Jacobs is no longer a member of Blackstone Pack. She committed an act of treason against the pack, your Luna and your Alpha by consorting with Alpha Cullen of Ironclaw. Her attempt, if successful, would have been to remove your Luna and cause war between the packs, which directly affects each and every one of you. The only reason she is being banished instead of being executed, is to honor my promise to her father and the previous late beta of this pack. However, she will never again be let into this pack. She has been banished and will live out the rest of her days as a rogue.” He said, ending his announcement.

My head is hanging, and tears are rolling down my face. I hear gasps and growls coming all around me. I don’t have the courage to look at my former pack. I never thought about what helping Alpha Cullen would do to everyone else in the pack. I only wanted to be Luna, but I would have lost pack members for my own ambiti

I hear the footsteps of Austin coming towards me once again. As he stands in front of me, he grabs me h by chin, “Look at everyone you betrayed for greed and power, Ceraline.” He said venomously as he forced look around me, “these people, ranked, unranked and low ranked from your former alpha to the lowest of th Omegas, are who you betrayed with your selfishness. You wanted to be Luna in exchange for their lives. You wanted to have power by betraying them. That is why the Moon Goddess didn’t pair us together. You don’t understand what it means to be a Luna or to lead a pack beside your Alpha. Remember these words while you live the rest of your life in your shame.” He says as he tells the guards to take me off the pack lands.

I see angry faces all around me and the words of Austin sink into my bones. He is right. I was not fit to be Luna. I let my desire for power get the best of me. Before the guards start to move, I fall to my knees and call out, “Alpha Austin! You are right. I’m so sorry. I never thought of my actions all the way through and how it would affect the pack. I accept the banishment, but before I am removed, please allow me to apologize to Luna Rebel. Please allow me this last request.” I say quietly and respectfully.

Just then, I see Luna approach, “Luna Rebel! I’m sorry. I’m so very sorry. I didn’t realize how ma hurting. I know that now. I’m ashamed of myself and I know I deserve banishmen I will go wi guards, but please forgive me for my blind ambition and for putting you in danger. I swear I w my life trying to be better, no matter where life takes me.” I plead with her, more tears rolli people I was y with the d the rest of a my face.

Luna holds Alpha’s arm and looks at me. I see her eyes soften a little bit, “Ceraline, I never with you. You always sought me ought. Once you leave here, you will not be even as much as the topic of any jokes. You will cease to exist for me,” she says softly but with a tone of disapatment that I deserve, “However, you are telling me the truth. You are sorry and you see how wrong you w I hope you do improve yourself and become better. You are a beta’s daughter. That means something and it shame that you have dishonored your father’s name and memory by committing treason. I forgive your actio ainst me, but what I cannot forgive is your actions against your Alpha and fellow pack men ers.

Being a beta’s daughter puts you at a higher standard than others. You could hav instead, you looked at everyone like they were beneath you. I heard you said that the downgrading you by pairing you with Michael, simplfy because he was an omega. Wha you failed to realize, was how much he loved you. He bravely approached his leadership team to ask for your release and you broke his heart. So, my forgiveness is the least of your concern Ceraline. You broke the trust of your Alpha, Luna, pack and most importantly, your mate. I hope you can live with that shame. If you are ever granted the Moon Goddess’ favor again, I hope most sincerely, that you don’t waste it again for blind ambition.” She finishes gently but with conviction. She grabs Alpha Austin’s hand and walks away from me.

She forgave me, but she is right, I’ve lost the trust of everyone here and sullied my father’s name and memory. If I ever get the opportunity to redeem myself with everyone here, I will do it, no matter the cost.

At least one problem is gone. Let’s hope she stays that way. What do you guys think?

Austin POV

As always, my Luna is graceful in her address. She forgave Ceraline but reminded her that she basically betrayed everyone. It’s true, she did. Banishing her from the pack was the only decision I could make that would give justice to my mate while honoring my late father’s beta. Both are gone but I tried to stay true to my word in this situation.

I lead Rebel to our room. I want to bathe with her and talk to her before I forget to tell her. With so much going on, sometimes it’s hard to keep track.

“Darling, I have some things to discuss with you and then we need to make a call together to someone very important.”

She turned around quickly and cocked her head to the side curiously. She looks adorable when she has a confusing look on her face. “Someone important? Who might that be?”

“Let’s talk about it in the tub,” as I lead her to the bathroom.

I strip my clothes and hers. I’m feeling the filth from today’s work and it looks like I have a farmer’s tan going on with my arms. When I look up at my mate, her eyes are dark and she is biting her bottom lip. I love it when she looks at me with desire. I know we will have a great time tonight.

“Come.” I hold my hand out to her.

“I’d like to,” she responded.

I couldn’t help the laughter that came out of me. “Does my mate need taming?”

She circles her arms around my neck and pulls me to her, “I like feeling you inside me, mate.”
