“Yes, sir. Plus, there is also a witch involved.” I added. I forgot about that piece of information until right now when it crash landed back into my memory.
Elias growls, “Very well, I will want to have this meeting sooner, rather than later.”
I lead the councilman to my office and after about an hour of small talk, I let Renz know he’s here. I also mind link Rebel letting her know the councilman is here as well and that her grandfather will want to be a part of this conversation.
‘Austin, both my grandparents and your mom want to be a part of this conversation. I hope you have enough chairs.’ She says with a smirk in her tone.
‘Anything for you darling. Just get here.’
After a few minutes, there is a knock on the door. Renz moves to open the door and lets everyone in my office. I make formal introductions and then I begin, “Councilman Elias, I understand your territory is the southwestern region. However, I have reason to believe that the councilmen of the Northeastern region have compromised and therefore I do not trust them to take this matter seriously.”
“Compromised how?” Elias asked.

“There is a pack there headed by Alpha Kaden Drakos. We have reason to believe he has ei blackmailed the council members,” I say as I pull the information Renz found and present to Elias, “Three weeks ago we were attacked by 30 rogues. It was organized and we came to find out, thrown a rogue named Carson, that they were sent by the Blue Moon pack’s Alpha to find and kidnap my mate
“Go on.” Elias said, wanting to understand the full scope of the situation.
“Well, my mate is a True Alpha Female councilman. She alpha commanded the Kaden wanted to use Rebel to get control of the Rising Moon pack. It was then that the long-lost granddaughter to Alpha Reid and Luna Adele.”
Reid growled, “He was going to force a mate bond with my granddaughter!?”
“She’s a True Alpha Female?” Elias asks.

“First, forcing the mate bond, while disturbing, is not the worst of it, Alpha Reid. Second, yes, sir, my mate is a true alpha female. We will discuss more on that later.” I continue, “It turns out that Alpha Kaden wants to be Alpha King. He has been defeating territory after territory, gaining more power. He has already taken two other Lunas in the past. By the time he was done using his past Lunas to help him conquer a territory, the Luna would die in an ‘accident.”” I tell them.
Now everyone is growling, so I continue, “Based on the information my beta found, Alpha Kaden is into some really sketchy business. Every time he faces the council though, all the charges are dropped. Every. Single. Time. Nothing sticks.”
Elias is looking over the file, “I see.”
Rebel then speaks up, “Councilman, I find it strange that all of these circumstances are sketchy at best and downright criminal at worst. The only thing that makes sense, is if the councilmen in that region are compromised. If that is the case, then we cannot rely on them to be impartial, fair or just.”
I smile at my mate. She speaks like an Alpha and as my Luna. I’m a lucky bastard.
Elias looks at me, “Where does the witch fit into all of this Alpha Austin?”
“Ah, yes. When we interrogated the rogue, he said that Alpha Kaden knew of Rebel’s existence because he has a witch working with him, so he can become Alpha King. Outside of that, I have no other information.”
Reid looked at Adele, “I would wager money and bet that it is Morgana helping him.”
“Morgana?” Elias questions.
“Morgana used to be a member of Rising Moon, until she betrayed me, by trying to use magic on me to break my mate bond with Adele and crown her my Luna instead. Luckily, I was saved by my beta before I could go through with anything. I was in a fit of rage and I banished her from the pack.” Reid said, “If there was ever a witch that would want to help Alpha Kaden get control of Rising Moon, it would be her.
Things are getting interesting…
Austin POV
While we were going over the details of what we have discovered regarding Alpha Kaden, Elias interrupted, “I’m sorry, there is so much information being discussed, that I nearly missed sight of something significant and I would like to understand the details of your Luna, Alpha Austin.”
“Of course, councilman.”
“You said the rogue told you that Luna Rebel is the long-lost granddaughter of the Rising Moon pack. Where has she been all this time and when were Alpha Reid and Luna Adele made aware that she is alive?”
“We only just found out yesterday and dropped everything to come here councilman.” Reid said first.
“My father Harris Lawson, former beta of Ironclaw, kept me hidden away, Sir.” Rebel said quietly.
“Why?” Elias questioned.
Rebel looks over to me and I give her an encouraging look. She looks back over to Elias and begins, “That’s wha I would like to know councilman. My mother Sydney died giving birth to me. My father told my mother’s family that we both died and he brought me to Ironclaw. I was not allowed to go to school, train, have friends, or anything a normal pup would be allowed to have or experience. By the time I was 10 years old, my bedroom was given up to my half-sister to convert into a walk-in closet, while my new bedroom became the attic. I had to learn to cook for myself if I wanted to eat, learn to wash my clothes if I wanted clean clothes and well, you get the idea. Afterwards, I was made to be a servant to my half-sister Rachel.”
Reid snarls, “HE DID WHAT?!”
Councilman Elias also was an impressive shade of red. “So instead of treating you equal to your sister, he had you as a servant?”
“Yes, sir. If there was company, I had to prepare the meals and then leave until midnight so I could rest. Then get up at four-thirty in the morning to train privately with my father.”
“What about your safety, my child?” Adele asked with tears in her eyes.
“Grandma, I’m a fighter and a very good one too.” Rebel said.
I interrupted, “Reid, Adele, I can attest to your granddaughter’s abilities. She is a strong said reassuringly, “I know it doesn’t make it right, but I can assure you, she will never fig had my way, I wouldn’t let her fight at all, but I wouldn’t be able to stop her if I tried.” [c ruthless fighter,” I alone again and if I kled.
Renz also jumped in, “Yeah, Luna Rebel leveled both Alpha Austin and me in the training to last week. She did it in minutes. She is one hell of a fighter.”
