I hear some laughter coming from the door and turn to see mom and dad in the doorway smiling at us. They both come over to hug us both before we leave and Dad shakes hands with Mason and Braxton thanking them for going with Tyler and Tate.
“She is to be our Luna, and she is our good friend. We love her like a sister, and we are happy to be going to make sure she is safe from now on.
“I am ready to go when you are. I already grabbed my coffee and was sitting on the steps outside thinking about today” Calvin says as he walks up to the group.
“I want you to stay safe too Calvin, even though we are not mate’s anymore, you saved me by telling me about Eric coming to get me. I want you to be safe as well, I will pray that the goddess protects you all in this” Jade tells him and gives him a side hug.
“Tyler, would you, Braxton, and Mason all please make sure that Asher is safe as well. I am going to be worried sick until I hear that you are all ok and that is it done, and you are all coming home: Jade tells us.
I walk out to the front porch of the packhouse with them, I had already brought the SUV and parked in from of the packhouse last night before I went to bed. I walked over to see that the buses were almost loaded with our guys we could get 60 onto each bus so we had loaded 3 of them full and the people who wanted to sleep in peace got on the 4th bus to spread out and sleep in the quiet before we got to Stone Moon. The other two buses were empty. I wanted to make sure that we had room for everyone so I guess if we needed to anyone wanting to sleep can get on the sleeping bus and they can rest until with getting to the Howling Wolf pack. I will make sure that we have 1 Leader each on the buses with people not sleeping, in case of any problems, and the Stone Moon pack can always mind link Mason, Braxton, or Asher if any problem comes up on the ride there or back.
I hug both my parents, and Jade goodbye, and Tate does the same before we go and get in the truck. Tate had already loaded all of his ammo and guns in the back of the SUV and had a holster already attached on each hip. The holster attached to his belt in two places and around his thigh secured the gun holster from moving, but her left the guns in the carrier, as he didn’t need them yet her would move the carrier up front and secure the guns when we get about 5 miles out, just like last time.
We had already planned it out with Calvin, we were going to come in from each side and set up before we drove up to the front gates with the last busload and our SUV. We would be dropping everyone out on their side to wait for their buses to arrive and the men to set up. We head out of the gate at 252 am on our way at this time. Mason will mind linking Asher when we are 30 minutes out to make sure that they are ready when we get there. We make good time heading to Chandler and stop for everyone to use the bathroom and the buses fueled up, so we are good to go there and back and not have to stop. We had coolers iced down with water and sodas two of each in the luggage area of each bus and 3 first-aid boxes in the luggage areas as well for each of the buses. We pull up to the guard’s area at Stone moon and the 3 full buses park outside the gate and back in so they can just pull out when we are ready to leave, and the two empty buses pull up to the packhouse with the 4th bus with the people sleeping still on it. Asher had told them to be out front at 3, and we pulled up exactly on time. We got everyone promptly loaded with more people hopping on the sleeping bus, although six of the new arrivals had either a book or a kindle with them to read on the way, in a quiet environment. That was pretty smart of them. Braxton hopped into the third row so Asher could take his seat, and we headed out. I pray that the Goddess is with us, and we have no casualties for Stone Moon or Dark Moon today.
Tyler’s Perspective
We are making excellent time on the road this morning. We will be getting there early. We speak with the leaders on each of the buses and then they relay it to the warriors on their bus. So, everyone is all on the same page. When we are 3 miles away from the Howling Wolf pack, we will stop for a minute to let Braxton, Mason, and Calvin out to get on the bus with their teams for a final check as they get into position, with the 4th bus being a filler parked in the middle with Mason’s bus and making sure that the perimeter is covered on the 3 sides. Tate takes this opportunity to grab his bag from the back of the SUV and put it in his floorboard to start getting ready. We all know exactly where we will be and as soon as the buses stop for the drop-off on the back and sides, the Dark Moon Pack leaders, warriors, and sharpshooters will then get into formation on the boundary. Some of the sharpshooters have also decided to hide in the trees surrounding the pack to also have a better vantage point and keep from being seen by the Howling Wolf pack.
Once they are in position, the last two buses will pull forward on either side of the front corner and we will pull the SUV up to the right side of the gate, where it will be hard to see us and we will approach the gate with Tate and two other sharpshooters being there to cover. We will have two sharpshooters in the trees behind us to give them a good vantage point and to cover us as Asher, Tate, and I will be at the gate, and we need to be protected, as we do not know how this will go with the Taylor Family and the rest of the pack.
We stop on the side of the road and the guys get out of the SUV and run over to their bus to arrive with their team. I take the time to mind link my parents that we are about to arrive at the Howling Wolf pack and begin. As we start moving forward again, I send up another prayer to the Goddess for her to be with us, as we engage with the Howling Wolf pack today, and for us to not have any loss of life in our packs, and for only the guilty to be punished today.
We wait to get the mind link from Calvin, and again for Asher to get his pack mind links from Braxton and Mason so that everyone is in their position. When the mind links come in that they are in place, I mind link the last 2 buses to park at the corners of the front of the pack and start unloading. We slowly pull up and park near the gate, but not in the sightline of the guard shack or where the road pulls up to the gate from the packhouse.
We parked and approached the gates, and I told the gate guard that we needed to speak to Alpha Taylor about Eric Taylor.
