Chapter 114 – From Substitute to Queen (Sable & Caelan) Novel Free Online by Hannah Moore

“Since you already know everything, why should I keep pretending!”

Her laughter cut off abruptly, and her expression turned cold and vicious. “That’s right! It was all me! James Miller, the attacks, everything-1 arranged it all!”

“So what?” Blair sneered, not a trace of remorse in her voice. “I did it all for you!”

If that bitch hain 1 appeared, you would be mine! We should have been together?

Her voice carried a sickening obsession, completely devoid of any recognition that she’d done anything wrong.

Tell me how you dragged me, Carlan demanded. I watched you drink from the same bottle. Why didn’t you fall unconscious?”

A triumphant smile spread across Blair’s face. “You really think I’d be that stupid?”

Ive been immune to that sedative for years. Since childhood, to support your training, I was constantly injected with various drugs.

Small doses of sedatives barely affect me at most, I feel slightly dirry.”

‘Besides, I took an antidote before coming to see you: Double insurance to ensure nothing went wrong.

As the conversation continued, Blair grew increasingly agitated. Her body began showing signs of partial transformation despite the restraints. Her fingernails elongated and sharpened, fangs protruded frees her mouth, and her eyes began glowing with an eerie purple light.

Suddenly she lunged forward with all her strength, trying to break free and attack me. Though the shackles limited her movement, her transformed strength made the metal screech against stone

“You ruined everything! Ull make you pay! she screamed hysterically, desperately straining to reach me.

Caelan immediately stepped between us, using his body as a shield. But I remained calm, unafraid. I knew Blair couldn’t actually hurt me in her current state, and besides I wasn’t some helpless weakling. I could fight too.

Looking at Blair thrashing around like this, I feel nothing but pity mixed with disgust. This is exactly what she brought on herself.

“Edward, inject her with the toxin.”

Edward quickly produced a specialized syringe filled with a substance designed specifically for werewolves. This toxin could prevent transformation while causing excruciating pain, though it wouldn’t be fatal.

The moment the toxin entered her system, Blair felt searing agony. Her partial transformation was forcibly reversed, and she threw her head back in a piercing scream that echoed through the dungeon.

Her body convulsed uncontrollably as sweat poured down her face like rain.

Even through her torment, Blair continued her deranged confession to Caelan: “Caelan, I love you! I’m insane with love for you! I love you so much I could die!”

“Since I was twelve years old, I’ve known I could only ever belong to you! My body, my soul, everything I am is yours!”

“Every night I think about you, dream about lying in your arms, imagine you touching my body, fantasize about bearing your children!”

“I’ve stayed virgin all these years for you-never let any man touch me! My first time, my everything, it’s all saved for you!”

The raw desperation in her voice was both pathetic and terrifying. This wasn’t love-it was obsession twisted into something monstrous.

Blair’s deranged confessions continued pouring out between her agonized gasps. “You know what? Every time I saw you talking to other women, I wanted to kill them! I couldn’t stand any woman standing beside you!”

‘I trained, I made myself stronger, all to be worthy of you! Every injury I suffered, every drop of blood I shed, it was all because I love you!”

Her voice turned vicious as she glared at me. “What’s so special about that bitch? Can she die for you like I would? Can she sacrifice everything for you like I have?’

“You’ll regret this without me! I know you better than anyone-I know what kind of touch you like, what kind of woman you prefer!”

The toxin’s effects seemed to loosen whatever restraints remained on her madness. Blair’s voice became increasingly hysterical, her pleas taking on a disturbing desperation

“Please, don’t abandon me! I can be your mistress, I can hide in the shadows-just let me see you occasionally and that’ll be enough!”

“I don’t need a title or status, I only need you! Even if you just visit me sometimes, touch me sometimes, I’ll be satisfied!”

“Caelan, my king, my man, I’ll do anything for you! Any dirty thing, any shameful thing, just want me!”

Her final words came out as a broken sob: “Kill me then! If I can’t have you, I’d rather die by your hands! At least that way I’ll belong to you forever!”

Caelan listened to this pathetic display with an expression of pure disgust. When she finally fell silent, he let out a cold, mocking laugh.

“Love?’ His voice dripped with contempt. You call this vile behavior love?

Blair Sterling, you disgust me. I’m ashamed I ever considered a viper like you family.”

Your so-called love is nothing but a madwoman’s sick delusion-repulsive possessiveness that makes my skin crawl.

“You think you’re worthy of me? You’re nothing but a pathetic creature who survives on others’ pity.”

Without the Blackwood family, you are nothing. A lowly servant’s daughter who dared dream of becoming queen? Absolutely laughable.”

“From this moment on, there is no relationship between us. You are no longer my sister, and you will never be my woman.”

“You are dead to me-no, worse than dead, because the dead at least retain their dignity.”

You are just a failed, pitiful, abandoned piece of trash.”

“You will die alone, unmourned, unmissed, completely forgotten.”

Each word was like a nail hammering Blair into a pillar of shame. I could feel the devastating impact of his calm, cruel delivery- more lethal than rage, completely destroying every shred of her dignity as a woman and as a werewolf.

The moment Caelan finished speaking, Blair released a soul-shattering howl. She tried to bite her own tongue, but Edward moved swiftly to prevent her suicide attempt.

“Think you can escape that easily? Impossible,” Caelan said dismissively.

He straightened to his full height. “By the power vested in me as Lycan King, I formally declare Blair Sterling exiled as a rogue!”

“From this moment forward, I sever all bond connections between her and Blackwood Pack!”

As Caelan pronounced the sentence, I watched Blair experience the forced severance of her pack bond. The process was clearly excruciating-like having her soul torn apart piece by piece.

Her screams echoed through the dungeon as her body convulsed violently.

“You no longer bear the Blackwood name, no longer receive pack protection, no longer belong among us.”

“You will become a homeless rogue, forever banned from entering any pack territory.”

Blair’s hate-filled eyes found mine even through her agony, promising vengeance even in her defeat.

“Edward, drag her out and carry out the punishment

Edward nodded and signaled for additional guards to enter the cell. They roughly seized the weakened Blair, preparing to haul her away.

She was too bruken to resist now, could only be dragged helplessly toward whatever tate awaited her.

I couldn’t help asking softly, “What kind of punishment?

Caclan’s expression softened as he looked at me, his gentle demeanor returning. You ll see for yourself soon, Sabi.”

He took my hand and led me out of the dungeon.

Caelan and I climbed the stone steps out of the dungeon. The harsh fluorescent lights below gave way to natural light that made me squint and blink rapidly.

We emerged onto the training grounds. The silence hit me first-an eerie, unnatural quiet that made my skin crawl. Where dozens of warriors had been sparring just hours ago, now there was nothing but empty space.

Just wind whistling and the distant rumble of storm clouds gathering overhead.

“Where is everyone?’ I asked quietly.

The answer came into view as we reached the center of the grounds. A sleek black military helicopter sat like a predatory insect on the packed earth. Its rotors moved slowly, creating a deep, rhythmic thrum.

Several soldiers stood at attention beside the aircraft. But what drew my horrified attention was the figure they held between them.

Blair.

They dragged her limp form toward the helicopter’s landing gear. Her once-golden hair hung in matted, blood-crusted tangles. Dirt and worse things caked her torn clothing. But when she lifted her head slightly, I caught a glimpse of her eyes.

Pure, undiluted hatred burned there like twin flames. Even broken and defeated, that malevolent fire hadn’t dimmed.

“What is that?” I pointed at the helicopter, unease crawling up my spine. “Why is there a helicopter here?”

Caelan’s expression shifted. The gentle man who’d held my hand just moments ago vanished, replaced by something cold and terrible. His jaw set in hard lines.
