“Well, Khaos has marked her. Why would he stay in that cold water for long.” Caiden growled at his twin siblings. “Can you stop? Hey, help me with them!” He looked at Gayle beside him.
“But, the tradition…” Gayle frowned and then shrugged his shoulders. “Whatever.” He then picked Rian up and the little boy hugged his neck, as he rested his head on his shoulder and fell asleep almost immediately. “I will take him back.”
Gayle turned around and then left. It left Caiden to deal with Otis and Mave, as the two of them struggled to get away from his big brother.
Meanwhile, people watched with wide eyed when they witnessed the alpha shifted into his lycan form for the first time.
Khaos carried Zuri out of the water and then put her down gently.
“Shift.”
Khaos did it first, he shifted into his white lycan, looked majestic under the moonlight and then followed with Zuri, who shifted into her black beast.
Right now, the alpha and the luna were separated by a river and were distances away from the people, but they could see the alpha, especially when the white fur of the lycan was a great contrast from the black beast of the luna.
Both of them looked ethereal under the moonlight.
The luna looked like the shadow of the alpha, but at the same time, she looked mysterious and dangerous, while the alpha looked dominant and powerful.
Unfortunately, they could only enjoy the sight for a while, but the two of them disappeared behind the shadow of the trees.
This was the end of the ceremony, but of course, they knew the end of the ceremony was the mating between the two souls.
Zuri followed Khaos with ease in her beast form. The white lycan moved gracefully among the trees. If Zuri’s black beast fused with the shadow, then Khaos’s beast was the light in the darkness.
This place was not familiar with Zuri, but she couldn’t care less about that, as long as she was with him, she didn’t mind to go to the end of the world…
And finally, Khaos stopped when they reached the clearing, there was a hill there and he chose to walk in his human form, Zuri obviously followed him.
“Where are we?” Zuri grabbed Khaos’s outstretched hand and climbed the hill. She looked around. This place was so peaceful, very quiet, giving you a sense of tranquility.
She didn’t know there was a place like this here, but then she only visited this pack a handful of time.
“I want to show you something.” He kissed her cheek and led the way, as they walked, he told her about Greywolf pack.
Decades ago, this place was the second palace for the lycan royal family, they would visit this place during winter because there was a hot spring here.
Zuri could tell that the pack house of the Greywolf pack was historical object from the old dynasty. You could feel it when you saw the pack house, there was a few symbols that indicating the lycan empire.
That was why Khaos had never refurbished it, because it was part of him. She should have known about it since the beginning, but who could have guessed that he was the last lycan.
“I have never seen the previous king and queen, obviously.” Khaos helped Zuri to walk down steppe, as they headed to narrow path, which it flunked by big rocks on each side. “But, they said, the previous queen came to this pack the last time when she was pregnant with the heir to the throne.”
It was such a weird way to say about your mother, but then Khaos had never had intimate connection with his parents apart from the story that people told him, yet he was still burdened with the responsibility to avenge their deaths and fix what the dynasty that they couldn’t protect decades ago.
They finally reached the hot springs and before that, Zuri could already feel the air became a little bit hotter and she was no longer shaking because of the cold night wind.
“People said, this hot spring made of the tears of the moon goddess when she created the lycan.”
“Why would she cry?”
“There are many stories about that, but none makes sense.”
Zuri chuckled, in that case, why would he talk about that. She watched closely as Khaos stripped down. He was naked when he stepped into the hot water. His figure was blur when the mist rose in the air.
“Don’t you want to join me, or do you want to ogle at me the whole night?” Khaos tilted his head when Zuri kept standing at the same place. “Why? I thought you are so eager to jump on me, are you afraid now?”
Zuri blushed when she heard that, but she said nothing, as she started to take off her dress. She bit her lip to stop herself from shivering, which this time, had nothing to do with the cold wind, since there was none.
Meanwhile, Khaos watched, as Zuri stood naked and slowly stepped into the water. She looked more healthy than he had ever seen her. She gained weight and as far as he knew, she stopped vomiting.
Inside the hot spring, they couldn’t feel the cold night wind. It was hot, both of them were hot. The heat came from the water and also their bodies.
Zuri came to Khaos naked. She stood in front of him and once again was reminded of how big this man was, how tall he was when the water level reached his waist, but for her it barely covered her breasts.
Nakedness was not something new for both of them, Zuri had stood naked in front of him a few times, but this time it was so different. The way Khaos looked at her, the way he stripped her naked with his eyes, as if he could hear what was in her mind, which he could, since they shared the same bond.
Because she was his mate, in any senses. She bore his mark, she had the ceremony and the union before the moon goddess. She was his luna and their souls would be together.
Khaos didn’t say anything when he raised his hand and caressed her cheek. His hand traveled down to her neck, down to her collarbones and then slid to her breast, he marveled on the sight.
Zuri shouldn’t be embarrassed to be naked in front of him, but she couldn’t help it. She felt embarrassed, because the way he looked at her was so different from before.
Even though Khaos saw her naked before, a few times in this case, he even touched her, but his eyes were not scorching hot like this. He really looked at her right now.
His eyes filled with want. He wanted her and this was what made Zuri bashful. Despite the fact that this was not the first time she dealt with sex, yet she felt like that stupid virgin again, who didn’t know what to do. She didn’t even know where to look at.
Khaos finally leaned down and kissed her, he took his time and savored her slowly. His hand slid down her body, rested on her back, pulling her closer, until she could feel how hard he was, while his other hand pressed lightly on the back of her head to deepen the kiss.
She felt him and he felt like an addiction, she didn’t want to let him. His body was so hot, probably hotter than the water around them.
“You are beautiful,” Khaos said against her lips and this made Zuri felt so eager. She was happy. It meant so much for her.
She didn’t think someone had ever called her beautiful. Rhett’s word didn’t count, since she was her brother and he was a jerk. That simple word made her heart swell. But, Khaos didn’t stop. He pointed every single thing that he liked about her.
“I like your scent.”
“I like the way you laugh.”
“I like the little nose that you made when you frustrated.”
Khaos nibbled on her lip and then down to her neck, kissing his mark on her skin and then traced her collarbones with his lips.
“You are so beautiful, Zuri. You are fierce and clingy…” He chuckled at that and Zuri couldn’t help, but chuckled too. “I like it when you were angry or when you laugh and sad.”
Zuri shuddered when Khaos stood straight and looked at her right in the eyes.
“You are perfect. Even in your madness, you are perfect. A beautiful disaster. My disaster.”
Khaos then spun her body around and pressed her against the smooth rock behind him, he pressed her between his body and the rock, spread her legs and positioned himself, as he held her thighs.
