“Stay behind me and do not move” I ordered her through the link
“WHAT!?” Koda shouted back and stepped forward
“YOU SON OF A B*TCH!” Ryker slurred as he shoved Koda who growled, and I felt Knox’s shackles stand on edge as she began to growl in defense of our brother
“ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND BETA!” Koda shouted and shoved Ryker back
“BLAKE’S PREGNANT!” Ryker shouted and grabbed Koda’s shirt while he stood there in shock and even though I was still pissed at my brother, no one touches him and get’s away with it “SHE WAS TESTED IN THE PRISON, YOU WILL TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS!”
I growled and shoved Ryker with force ‘TOUCH KODA AGAIN AND I’LL RIP YOUR F*CKING HEART OUT!” I screamed, stressing each word.
UNKNOWN POV
Two men walked through the darkness of the woods in silence, even the animals no longer ventured here, this place was long since cursed.
No birds, no elk, not even a mouse dare to make a home here anymore.
The air was thick with sorrow, making it difficult to breathe and the very ground they walked on was blackened and dead, much like the trees surrounding the three graves that resided where once a small cabin sat.
“Are you sure you want to do this, my King?” Alpha Troy asked, his voice low and sniveling. He knew full well that his King hated questions and being second guessed.
Fenrir turned and grabbed Troy by the collar of his shirt and forcefully pulled him closer.
“Who said I was doing it?” He asked menacingly and shoved Troy back, causing him to stumble and having to catch his fall against a dead tree that cracked under the weight of his hand “Start digging, I want that necklace!”
Alpha Troy gulped nervously as he picked up the shovel by the grave. It was old and didn’t look like it would hold up for long but he gripped it firmly.
“Yes your majesty” He nodded and turned to the grave in the center.
He walked over to it, hesitating for a moment before making the first plunge.
Two hours he worked on unearthing the grave, two hours of sweating and gaining splinter after splinter, when finally the shovel handle broke, and he was forced to use his hands to continue. He tried his powers but to no avail. Magic no longer worked here.
Another hour passed with Fenrir growing more and more impatient when, finally, Troy hit the wood of the coffin.
“My lord!” He shouted as he wiped away the last remnants of dirt and began to pull open the lid.
The wood creaked in protest and sounds seemed to echo through the silence, making the sound much louder.
Another groaned from the wood and a huff from Troy and the lid gave way.
Troy pulled it open and a gust of powder erupted from inside, burning his face and hands he’d used to try and protect himself.
Troy screamed in agony as he fell back, attempting to wipe the powder from his skin, but Fenrir ignored him completely and jumped into the hole.
He walked over to the open casket and pleaded inside.
There, on the moth-eaten remnants of a silk lining, was the skeleton of his ancestor, Nora, the first Queen.
“Hello Queen mother” Fenrir smiled madly as he looked over her bones “Forgive me, but you have something I need”
He reached into the casket and pulled up two objects, a gorgeous ring with a black ruby and a single bone from her body, and a necklace. That glowed his hand as he wrapped his, greedy fingers around it
Once he had what he wanted, he climbed out of the hole, looked over at Troy who was crying and holding his face where his skin had been burnt off, and glared at him.
“Cover the grave” He ordered “And make camp, I’m hungry”
Without another word, Fenrir walked away with his prizes. His plan would soon come to pass, soon, after all these years, his time had finally come and Madelyn would be the key to his success.
KODA’S POV
My mind went blank, this couldn’t be happening, sh*t, Maddie.
I turned back and saw her with tears in her eyes and her hands over her mouth as she looked at me in horror
“Maddie, no!” I rushed to her but Jax growled and shoved me back
“STAY THE F*CK AWAY FROM HER!” He shouted as his eyes turned black
“BACK OFF JAXSON!” I shouted and shoved him back “BLAKE IS EITHER LYING OR IT’S SOMEONE ELSES KID, I NEVER F*CKED HER DURING HER HEAT!”
“YOU BETTER NOT BE LYING TO ME!” Jaxson growled as his claws came out “IF YOU HAVE GOTTEN SOME WHO*RE PREGNANT WITH OUR HEIR, I WILL KILL HER!”
‘I can’t… I can’t do this” Maddie started crying and ran
“MADDIE WAIT!”
“MADELYN!” Jax shouted
I went to run after her but Jax grabbed my arms and pulled me back “DON’T EVEN TRY IT!” He growled “DEAL WITH YOUR F*CKING MESS AND I WILL TAKE CARE OF MADELYN BUT I SWEAR KODA, IF THIS IS YOUR KID… YOU ARE DEAD TO ME!”
Jax shoved me again and ran after our mate as I turned back to Ryker and Sophia “IF I LOSE MY GIRL BECAUSE OF BLAKE, I PROMISE YOU, SHE IS DEAD AND I WILL HAVE YOUR RANK REMOVED!”
“Alpha, she” Sophia began to talk
“SHUT UP!” I ordered and she fell silent and looked at her fee “Let’s go to the prison, I’ll use my command and get to the bottom of this sh*t!”
We took my car to the prison in silence. I was furious. I tried linking Maddie, but she cut the link every time and I felt like my heart was being crushed in my chest. Flynn was whining the whole time, he didn’t want to lose Ava.
I quickly walked into the prison, ignoring all the guards who greeted me, and continued to the cell where Blake was being kept.
“OPEN THE DOOR!” I shouted to the guard standing by her door.
She quickly scampered to it and unlocked the cell door and pulled it open. I walk inside and saw Blake sitting on the bed with her knee’s up and crying.
Seeing me, she smiled and looked happy, but when I growled she shrank back as her parents came in and shut the door
“TELL THE TRUTH!” I shouted in the alpha tone “ARE YOU PREGNANT?”
“Yes” She answered
“I TOLD YOU!” Ryker shouted, but I growled.
“SHUT UP!” I shouted and turned back to his daughter “WHO IS THE REAL FATHER OF YOUR CHILD!”
Blake started crying and looked at her feet “My mate”
“WHAT!?” Ryker grabbed her arm “WHAT MATE, WHEN DID YOU MEET HIM!?”
