“I’ll help you, and I promise you’ll get everything you lost back,” I make her a promise and she nods.
“Prince Silas, were you the one who sent him?” I ask.
“Yes, the butterfly was strengthening him and when it returned to me a few weeks ago, I knew his condition was bad but I sent it back so he’ll be well soon,”
I had so many questions for her but we had little time so I kept to myself. The witch inhales and exhales, she grabs both my hands and begins to mutter incoherent words, I can’t understand what she’s saying but my body and mind feel lighter and soon I hear him, my mate.
‘Alyssa, oh my Alyssa, are you alright? Did he hurt you? I’ll find you,’ I giggle with happiness, and like I did for her, Agatha… Sav wipes my tears, I didn’t even realize I was crying when I heard Leon’s voice.
‘I’m exceptionally well, just missing you,’ I say softly. ‘ Amacus has explosions in packs and my foundations,’ I inform him.
Opening my mind link to my mate puts us at an advantage against the wizard, Amacus won’t set them off just yet because he thinks no one else knows about them. Leondre immediately opens a mind link to many Alphas to tell them and sends experts to the foundation.
‘And you?’ He asks after he’s done giving instructions to the Alphas, my gaze trails to Savannah and I smile.
‘Don’t worry about me, I’ll be fine,’ I say confidently. I hear him chuckle.
‘Oh trust me, I know that,’
I am smiling, knowing that he trusts me enough to handle the situation here,
‘I’ll find you soon as the Prince has miraculously regained conciseness, take care of yourself and our baby, my love,’ He says.
I will come out unharmed in all this however, I know if the werebear warriors launch an attack against their intruders, they shall be bloodshed.
“So what’s the plan?”
“The bastard put bombs in my packs, some experts are trying to locate them now but just to be on the safe side, I need the remote,” I inform her.
Alyssa’s POV
The next day I was locked in my room and one of the castle guards delivered a message from Scarlett, informing me that the werebears are starting their attack at dawn when the witches least expect it since they shall be conducting a usual ceremony and Amacus and a few witches were there already to prepare.
I needed to find the remote fast so I carefully leave the room, luckily they were only a few guards that I knocked out cold, before going to search Amacus’s den. I scour in every drawer but I find nothing, on my way out, I meet a rogue, he almost blows a whistle to alert the others that I am here but I manage to snap his neck before he could and hide his body in a nearby closet.
I continue my search, until I reach his bedroom which is just opposite mine, it takes me a while to open the door but I do. The room smells of him and other female fragrances. I shake my head and begin to search for the remote, he couldn’t have placed it where it would be easily found. After searching for minutes, I was getting desperate, anyone can walk into the room. As I was leaving, I bumped into the side table and knocked a vase to the floor, I bend down to pick it up and noticed something dark in there.
‘It’s the remote!’ Shrieks my wolf and I smile, getting it and carefully placing it in my back pocket and pulling down the white large shirt I am wearing. I don’t know how explosives work, can it be set off from here?.
‘Just get out of this room already!’ Shouts Chalo. I get out of the room and I come face to face with the man I’ve been dreading to see. Amacus. He gives me an accusing gaze and I quickly clear my throat and start to speak.
“I was looking for you everywhere,” I try to make my voice as normal as it can be but my heart is beating out of my chest right now, If he finds one thing amiss, he will not only drain me of my blood and kill my baby, but seek vindication by going after the packs.
“Where are your guards?” His voice is monotone but I still keep a cool expression on my face.
“I gave them a slip,” I chuckle, trying to be seductive but failing miserably. His frown deepens and moves past me, inspecting his room but I grab his hand.
“You’re acting strange,” He says,
“If I accept to marry you, will you leave the packs alone?” He is taken aback by my words and soon, a smile appears on his lips. He swallows and nods.
“As hard as it is, I shall try because I want powerful heirs,” Amacus brings his hand to my cheek and caresses it softly. I jerk and step away from him.
“But I want something true, and if you want me, you have to be deserving of a woman like me… flowers, dates, such things,” I say, trying to distract him, the idea of doing all that with me makes me want to puke. Amacus blinks a few times, he is unsure if I’m been genuine, he takes a step back and nods.
“This is going to be a nice challenge,” He says, and I scowl, the idiot is truly susceptible! I didn’t know it would be this easy. At the mention of me giving him heirs, he forgets all about his original plan to get back his magic from me. I almost cackle but control myself. The unsuspecting wizard guides me back to my room and I release a breath I didn’t know I was holding.
I don’t sit in my room long before the door bursts open and Princess Scarlett and Savannah enter the room, the ladies are ready for war, they wear similar clothes and the princess has two long silver swords in her hands.
“Time to kill the crude coven and rid ourselves of those rogues,” The ladies share a glance and smile deviously. I get to my feet and walk to them, moving slightly past them, I walk out of the room and they follow.
Alyssa’s POV
As soon as we step foot out of the room, a long howl signals war sounds. My wolf opens my ears and I’m able to hear the growls outside the castle. A few rogues try to attack us but the witch and the bear Princess don’t even let them close, with her powers, Savannah grows roots from the ground, pinning them to the ground or strangling them with them while the bear fights with her two swords at ease. We manage to finally get outside where the warriors are fighting an army of rogues, the werebears are not very large in number hence they are at a disadvantage. There are a dozen witches fighting and using their abilities to kill the werebears. I immediately join the fight as well, I can’t use my abilities but I fight them still in my human form, shifting when pregnant is high risk so I don’t even attempt, I notice non of the rogues are trying to kill me, could it be that Amacus warned them not to harm me, I use this chance to kill them with all my might.
‘They won’t win,’ I hear Amacus’s voice says. I pay him no mind but he keeps invading my mind until our eyes meet. The wizard is standing on a cliff, watching in amusement, and enjoying the massacre. A harsh sound nearby resonates and a ground-shattering growl erupts. I sense my mate close, I grab a rogue that charges at me and smirks at Amacus before killing it. Amacus is shocked to see the arrival of the Lycans and he shouts out orders.
My eyes scan to my mate and I see him for only a few seconds, he is in his majestic Lycan form, bigger than the ones around him. Before he can come to me, rogues jump on him and my heart shatters but the powerful Lycan king manages to shrug them off him and kills them with alleviation.
The arrival of the Lycan Alphas and warriors put us at an advantage. The crone coven uses their magic to attack but Savannah is there to block or send it right back with strength, the witch is fierce and angry, and a large white wolf jumps next to me, my brother. He sniffs me to check if am unharmed.
‘Are you alright, sister,’ I nod and caress his fur.
‘Your mate is over there, go to her now,’ I push him away. Enrique stops as he watches his mate fighting furiously, several rogues are surrounding her, and warriors protect her even though she doesn’t need it. My brother growls and she stops her movements, her eyes swaying to the white wolf, and a knowing smile curls on her lips but they are suddenly attacked by witches, forcing the Princess to shift into a huge bear, it’s as large as Enrique’s wolf.
Before I can growl at him to go to her, he was already there. I turn to my opponents to fight but I suddenly feel weak and my legs frail under my weight. Amacus is by my side, he grabs my arm, dragging me away from the fight while I struggle. Some witches protect him with their spells so no one can attack him.
“We are going far from here, and you are giving me the heir you promised ” He growls.
“I made you no promise!” I snarl.
My mate suddenly appears in front of us, he is angry, growling furiously at the witches and baring his sharp long teeth. Amacus starts to look around him, wondering how Leon is right in front of us. His neck twist and he gasps, seeing that his witches are on the ground, either struggling with severe injuries or death.
“Hi,” Snarls Savannah, she has her mother on her knees.
Amacus leaves my side slowly and takes a step back but Enrique is right behind him, waiting to attack, both my mate and brother made a promise to kill the wizard so I don’t know how they’ll do it.
They are arguing in the mind link about who is going to kill him.
