“You will tell us the combination, or I will break every finger and your thumb on the left hand as well. I will continue to do it every 30 minutes so the bones won’t set right, and it will just keep causing you more and more pain as I progress. Jade is my mate, and I will not let you get away with the money you stole from her. I cannot fix what you did, or allow others to do to her, or correct what I myself have done to her. But THIS, this I can fix, and I will fix it. I don’t care if I need to break every single bone in your body to do it. I swear I will get at least this corrected for her. I will start on your feet in an hour, so you know what to look forward to. You will not be walking away from your punishment unless you want to stop playing around and give us the combination. I will make you welcome death, in a very short amount of time Sylvia, it is your choice on how long this will last” Asher tells her, and we all believed him.
“34-02-14,” Sylvia tells him.
Asher glances over to Acting Alpha Marcus, for him to relay the combination to the warriors in her home.
One minute later Acting Alpha Marcus advises that they did get into the safe and that they are bringing everything from inside the safe to the cells now for Sylvia to sign the deed over.
“Are you happy now? Can I go?” Sylvia askes.
“No, you will not be going anywhere, the case remains that you disobeyed a direct Alpha Command, and then lied to the Acting Alpha, as well as the Alpha Heir as well. Your sentence will be carried out shortly” I tell her and step away to speak with Acting Alpha Marcus and Alpha Heir, Conner Smith to see what they would like to do as far as her punishment.
“I believe that Tate is totally ok with carrying out Gamma female Devoe’s sentence if you are ok with that. It might make him feel better as we now know that she is the root cause of all Jade has had to suffer for. But it is up to you both, it is your pack, and I don’t know what you usually do in this type of instance. How you want it to be carried out, I will say that it is very quick with no suffering as he is a great marksman, death will be instantaneous to her if you decide to let him carry it out. So just talk amongst yourselves and we will get the deed paperwork signed by Gamma Female Devoe” I told them and then walked over to my brother Tate to pass on what I had said. He quickly agreed that he would do it if they decided to let him. He is absolutely furious knowing that this nasty, bitter, vicious woman is the reason that Jade had such a terrible life, and if she had even cared for Jade a little bit, her life would have turned out completely different.
Tate’s Perspective
It will be my pleasure to end Gamma female Devoe’s life. She is the reason for all the suffering that Jade had to endure in her life. I cannot believe that someone could look at a toddler and blame them for the acts, or perceived acts, of another. I don’t know Hillary enough to even try to judge her, but it seems like the only thing she did wrong was fall in love with someone that was not her mate. My dad loved her too until he was given his mate, so things could have been completely different for Jade if dad had never met his mate. Life definitely has its twists and turns. One wrong choice could result in a wonderful positive or be a horrible negative. You really don’t have any way of knowing. I was taught from a young age to just waiting for my mate, that it will be better in the long run as my mate won’t have to be in a pack where she wonders, did he sleep with her?
Proof of that rests with Asher and his choices, he made some bad ones and one of those bad ones could have cost him, Jade, if Eric had been successful. Now he has to go back to his pack and assign Ashley’s sentence. I don’t know if it would be better for him to just have the warriors handle it, but that gives her the option to try to get out of it by seducing them, so I guess it is best that he carries the sentence out himself, he needs to know this is done like I need to know it is done when I finish this evil woman off.
I do not like speaking to her, she is unbelievable to me. What kind of a person never sheds one tear for her mate being killed? Or her child being killed? I could see if maybe her husband cheated on her or abused her that she might not cry about the loss, but this was not the case. She actually did love Jeremy, but she still didn’t cry for him either. I just cannot understand it, my mother would be crushed if something happened to dad, let alone me or Tyler. She would never come back from it. I know she loves Jade as if she were her daughter because when she looks into her eye she sees dads and our eyes, in Jade. I think that makes it easier to not even think about Hillary as she didn’t even know her. My mom has a large capacity to love and that makes her an excellent Luna. I believe that Jade will be an excellent Luna as well. I was really proud of Asher for getting the Combination from Sylvia to try to make up for some of what Jade has had to go through in her life. Jade didn’t want the money, it could have helped with school, but Jade buckled down and just excelled in her studies and got scholarships for her to be able to go, instead of depending on someone else to bail her out, or to do for her, when she could do it herself. I don’t think Sylvia had a hand in any of it though. I think that Jade’s quality of character came from her mom, and our dad, and just made her a special person. I don’t think anything that Jade is, came from this nasty woman in front of me. As she gave Asher the combination to the safe, her hand has started healing, which is good as she will need to sign the deed, and I am going to video it, a little something I learned from Dixon, who is a really smart guy.
I don’t need to speak with anyone, so I just listen and watch what is going on. The warriors show up with a fairly large duffle bag and there are several boxes of what I assume are jewelry, so they don’t get damaged with improper storage. I don’t want to go through it, but I see her looking at the duffle bag longingly, and I can see the shimmer of tears now, this lady is definitely going to win “Mom of the Year”. She is tearing up at the thought of losing her jewelry, man are her priorities backward. I cannot stop myself from shaking my head in disbelief.
I don’t know what kind of punishment they will be deciding on for Sylvia. It might be letting one of the warriors kill her, hanging her, stabbing her in the heart with a silver knife, or wolfsbane if they want her to suffer, or I am still ok with what Tyler had asked me, especially now that I know that she is the reason for jade’s misfortune in this pack. I know that the decision will be hard for Conner, as he just got thrust into it today, but I am sure that Acting Alpha Marcus has a good head on his shoulders and will direct him correctly. I felt bad for him as I could tell how upset and disappointed he was in Calvin when he spoke earlier. He knows how valuable a true mate is, and Calvin dating that beastly Sophia messed his future up pretty badly. I do believe that she would have done Jade harm, I do not condone him rejecting Jade, but he could have told his dad, and with proof, getting Sophia kicked out of the pack. But that would have still left Danica to be able to get to her, so she would have still been in harm’s way, and with Eric on the down-low liking Jade as well. I just can’t see a positive result for Jade here in this pack, there were no good options for her if she had stayed. The Moon Goddess did right in having Jade be rejected and I know that dad said this at dinner the other night, but maybe the purpose of Jade being Calvin’s mate was to actually get her out of this pack. The Goddess is wise and always knows. So that brings us back to Asher, he is really trying to make visible changes in his life, and I believe that he loves Jade, he just needs to be more mindful of his words and what he is saying. He needs to get it right in his head before it comes out of his mouth. I saw Jade’s reaction when Tyler told her that Asher was coming with us. She was worried sick about him getting hurt. Of course, she was worried about all of us being hurt coming to finish this for her. She doesn’t realize that we would die to protect her from harm. My love for my sister is different than my love for Tyler. I love and respect him, but he is a strong warrior and has a good head on his shoulders. Jade had been through so much, and I just can’t stand by and let anything else happen to her. I will step in front of her and deal with whatever comes to protect her. I will also give Asher a warning about taking care of my sister when she does eventually come back to the Stone Moon pack. He better do right by Jade; of he will never see me coming. I get knocked out of my thought by Tyler saying “Tate!”, as apparently, he has called my name previously.
“Yes,” I say to Tyler.
