“Even when I walked into the room he didn’t stop each and every thrust was a bullet through my chest he saw me he fucking saw me but did stop pounding harder into her and all I did was watch on my knees my heart was bleeding every time she moaned his goddamn name!!” Dimitri interjects softly, vividly hurt.
Jaden? How could he do that?
I’m amazed by my shock the motherfucker fucking made me watch him fuck Riley I’ve been blinded by his fake side forgetting how cruel he had been to me and looks like everyone around him.
“But I promise I didn’t use you” Dimitri lies through his teeth.
“No!” Closing my ears with my fingers I shut your voice . I’ve had enough of the lies.
“Hailey.. Jaden touches my arm I jerk away,
“Don’t touch me!” I get off the floor, not letting my tears show. Looking back and forth between the two men that had played with my emotions, I was just a ploy in their game, a pawn of revenge and past tides, there’s a part of me that’s screaming I should have seen it coming but a greater part showing me how deep I had fallen for their tricks.
“Both of you stay away from me” I warned sternly. “You should be ashamed of Jaden and Dimitri this isn’t fair” I whispered brokenly, before any of them could feed me more of their lies I turned away running into the forest.
I had settled at the back of a large tree crying my heart out, my ill fate mocking me with its smile.
“You’ll have to be smart about it” I hear a soft deep whisper. One I couldn’t recognize and light footsteps grazing through the grass.
I wipe my eyes and snort with my sleeves. If it were in any way Dimitri’s or Jaden’s attempt to find me I had to run away.
Standing up to look behind the trees I see wolves, sneaking quietly forming a spacious circle. I gasped, the pack might undergo an attack. I had to warn Jaden.
Turning swiftly I bumped into a figure, he was big, built like a wall, his shadow swallowing me whole, smirking viciously I swallowed the bile in my throat he was part of the mob .
Instinctively, I kick him in his groin. He budges in pain squeezing his legs, yelping in agony.
I hurry past him then started running when I hear behind me “Catch her”
I fled as fast as my legs could take me but couldn’t go far enough.
The wolves had surrounded the forest, gaining on me easily,the guy I kicked early walked up to me angry, smacking me hard on the face, my hands breaking my fall and I felt blood trickling down the side of my face.
The wolves had tied me to a tree discussing their plan and still kept an eye on me.
They finally finished their hushed conversations, a few leaving while some walked up to me.
“What should we do with her?” One said in an accent.
“I’m feeling a bit crazy tonight” another one adds, rubbing his groin making me spit out irritated.
They all laughed at the gesture, they had come to ambush the pack house as long as that mission was not accomplished I was safe… for now
“We’ll take her back with us as a souvenir” he walks up to me picking my chin to look at him, titling my face left to the right inspecting me like a toy.
“I like them spicy” he smiles, I glare at him sucking in enough saliva then spitting on him, he steps back angry he hits me again my face burns from the impact.
“How dare you!” A voice I knew too well yelled; Jaden, he ran in leaping from the ground morphing mid air into his wolf pouncing on my assaulter in a matter of seconds he hand ripped out his throat, I look away from the bloody sight even if he could kill a few, he was outnumbered.
The rest circled him waiting for him to attack when one went behind him.
“Jaden behind you!” I yell warning him, he moves away the wolf missing his intended attack likewise Jaden scratched him on his leg.
“Hailey” I hear a whisper calling to me. It was Dimitri, he cut off the rope easily with a knife taking my hand dragging me away from the huge fight.
“Dimitri you have to go back… to help Jaden” coming to a hult I said panting
“We have to go warn the house,” Dimitri insisted.
“I’ll do that you handle things while backup approaches”
“What if you come into a wolf…
“I can take care of myself, you either head back or I will” I say firmly.
He mutters something I couldn’t quite hear under his breath but doesn’t object.
“Stay safe” he kisses me on the cheek, and runs back.
Helina is pouncing happily when I finally let her lose, transforming into my white, silvery wolf.
HAILEY STEWARTSHelana was energetic, I hardly let her free so she sprinted like a natural heading to the pack house.
A wolf was running close behind that isn’t good
The wolf faster blocking me up front a stupid mistake cause Helana doesn’t stop springing on top of him digging her nails into his body.The wolf yelps in pain and Helana wants to continue the assault but I nudge her Jaden and Dimitri would need all the help they could get.
Leaving the injured wolf we continued towards the pack house from afar we could see the chaos.
So much for warning the pack, it was already invaded, wolves had attacked screams and grunts blaring, steel on steel and howls of wolves.
Helana’s fighting instincts kicked in as she savagely killed one of the attackers who had come for her.
Through Helana’s eyes we duck through the mayhem spotting one of Jaden’s close guards who was in a sword fight with another. I kill his opponent from behind.
“Alpha Jaden needs help in the forest” I growl loudly through Helana.
The guard gives a nod signaling a few others of them jolt towards the forest.
Helana is charged upon from behind, she crunches a little but attacks back scratching the wolf by the side of his face then a wolf from the pack house attacks him biting into his neck.
Helana was in pain, I went to my room through the mess of blood and dead wolves, changing back to my human form. I pull on a pair of jeans and a striped shirt.
I was bleeding from my back but I ignored the pain, leaving the room I’ll never be at ease till I’m certain Jaden is alright.
I heard a scream just as I left the room. It was Shyna a black wolf was on top of her and she was defenseless.
A part of me wanted to walk past, pay deaf ears to her cries but the bigger part of me doesn’t let me grabbing a broken lamp from the ground I bash the wolf with my strength he stumbles away from Shyna but it doesn’t do much damage as he scowls in my direction Shyna on the other hand scruided off the floor then runs away.
Perfect!
I take a step back on wobbly legs gripping the lamp stand like my life depended on it, leaping towards me I step toward the side dodging the attack but the wolf comes back jumping on top of me his weight pulling me to the floor the lamp in-between the wolf’s throaty canines sharp gray eyes and salivating mouth.
I buck my knees upwards using a lot of energy to push the big wolf off me drawing backwards I feel a cold blade behind my back a sword the instant the wolf leaps for an attack I pull the sword out his eyes widened as he transformed back into his human form he was dead.
I push the human off me standing to my feet watching as he lays in his pool of blood.
Without warning I’m pulled into an embrace.
“Hailey… Jaden breathes holding me. I’m stunned for a moment then hug him back he stinked of blood and grass but I don’t give a damn about the vile odor the pack house stills for a moment nothing mattered except being in his arms.
“I’m so glad you’re safe” he pulls away his eyes darken ” you need to head to the safe house Elijah take her” he orders.
“No I’m not going anywhere till we handle this”
“That’s for us to decide don’t you think so”
“No I don’t want to lose you take her to the safe house and that’s an order” he says in finality an Alpha’s command cannot be broken so I head quietly as the guard leads me to the safe house.
It was in the basement. A metal door blocked out two guards in front. They opened the door letting me in then shutting it.
It was lit up by candles only women and children were down here cowering in fear. I hate the fact I had to stay here with no idea on what Jaden is doing.
We stayed down here for hours. There was food supply, water, some clothes and a toilet.
