“Maddie” Koda pulled out a pretty black ring box “Every time you touch one of us, we feel you’re entire soul vibrating with ours, and we never want that feeling to end”
“We know that you grew up alone” Jax took my other hand “And that you never had a safe harbor, but we will be that harbor for you, you will never be alone, not for one second will we let you go through pain or joy on your own”
“Please marry us” Koda asked, as he opened the ring box.
“Please Madelyn, please say yes” Jax’s voice was gentle, but filled with so much love, that my heart skipped a beat.
I was crying softly, and tears were falling down my cheeks. Was I dreaming? I nodded my head slowly “Yes” I whispered “Yes.. yes.. yes!”
I pulled my hands free and wrapped my arms around them, crying against their shoulders, as they held me.
Koda laughed and pulled back “At least let me put the ring on you first”
I giggled shyly, and sat down on my knees in front of them, as I held out my hand.
Koda smiled at my reaction and passed Jax the box, before pulling out the most stunning diamond ring I’d ever seen, he slipped it onto my fingers, and kissed my hand, before Jax also kissed my hand.
MADELYN’S POV
There was a soft knock on my office door, and I turned to see it open slightly, but no one entered.
“Excuse me, Luna” One of the guards, Charley, spoke through the crack in the door “Beta Ryker, is here to see you. May I let him in?”
I looked at Evelyn, who seemed annoyed, and crossed her arms.
“Um.. I guess so” I stood up, and straightened my dress, as he walked in, wearing a dark blue suit, and looking very tired.
“Luna” He bowed his head, as he came over to me, wearing his usual dark suit “I am hoping for a moment of your time, Evelyn. Wait outside, thank you”
“Yes, sir” She said politely, though I detected a slight edge of annoyance.
Once she left the room, and the door closed, and Ryker smiled at me, but I didn’t return it. I’d never forgive this man for breaking my mother’s heart, even if I did understand the mate bond. He never should have led her on if they weren’t mates.
“If you want to talk about my mother, I’m not interested”
“No, I wanted to speak about Blake” He sounded cautious, and I frowned.
“I’m even less interested, please go”
“Luna, it’s important, please”
“Find, what about her?”
“I was just on my way to the prison” He told me”So, I just wanted to get your answer first”
“My answer about what?”
Beta Ryker looked at me in confusion “Have the twin’s, not spoken with you?”
“Spoken to me, about what?”
Ryker exhaled and put his hands into his pocket.
“Great” He exclaimed, sounding frustrated “I knew, they’d put it off, because of your heat, but I hadn’t thought they’d neglected the situation, all together.
I blushed at the mention of my heat, but pushed past my embarrassment.
“Can you, please, just tell me what you’re talking about?”
Ryker then proceeded to tell me about their plan, to release Sky and allow Blake to go home, if she helped.
I was horrified. How could the twins not tell me about this situation? How could this even be an option? Blake deserved to be in prison after what she’d done to me
“So?” Ryker asked me “Would you consider it?”
“I will think about it. Please leave my office”
“I know that this is difficult, but doing this is for the greater good”
“Right” I snapped at him “And the fact that you’re b*tch daughter, gets another pass, has nothing to do with this plan?”
“I’m sorry for everything Blake has done to you, and how she worked with Scott and Sky, but”
“But, nothing!” I cut him off “Please, go away!”
My heart was racing angrily, how could the twins not tell me about this, how could they let me find out about this plan, from Ryker? And what was Ryker talking about? When did she work with Scott and Skyler?
Ryker bowed, and left my office quickly, and I started pacing around angrily, as I looked at the ring on my finger, how could the twins propose, and promise to be true partners, when they were keeping this from me?!
I looked at the door angrily, as my temper built, and the lights in my office began to flicker.
I gave an angry growl, and decided to confront the twins, so I left my office. Evelyn was waiting patiently, and talking to the guards, but she called out to me, when I walked away, but I ignored her, and marched down the hallway to the twin’s office.
The guards by their office door looked up and bowed, but when I went to walk in, they stepped in front of me “Excuse me Luna, but the Princes’s are in a meeting right now”
“I DON’T CARE, MOVE!”
The guards looked shocked, and quickly stepped aside, and I shoved open the double doors, and stomped in, Jax had already risen from his seat, and was walking over to the door, with a troubled look on his face.
“What’s wrong, sweetheart? Why are you yelling?”
I looked around the room, saw two men I’d never met before sitting in seats at the twin’s desk, but I didn’t care who they were or what they wanted.
“GET OUT!” I shouted at the men, who looked extremely nervous. They glanced at Koda, who stood up and nodded.
“Leave” He gestured to the door “We will finish up later”
“Madelyn, what’s wrong?!” Jax tried to take my hands, but I glowed.
“Don’t touch me!” I shouted, and pulled away from him.
“Baby, please, tell us what’s wrong?” Koda came over to me, looking troubled “What’s upset you?”
“Is there anything you want to tell me?!” I asked, angrily.
“No” Jax answered, and looked at Koda “Did you do something?”
“Why are you asking me?” He growled angrily “Of course not, baby, what is wrong?”
