“Sure, you are Brax, I look like a train wreck out there. I don’t feel like I did a good job at all, and I threw up three times. I feel like I have been rolled down a hill. So, thank you for the compliments, but hold off on them until I earn them”, I told him.
“No Jade, you did a great job. I don’t sugar coat and I don’t say things that I don’t mean. I am a very tough trainer, and you did everything that I asked of you. You are so much stronger than you think you are. Most people, especially plus-sized people, would not be able to try to attempt the second class. It is much harder to do, but you hold your own. I will never lie to you Jade, and I want you to trust me when I tell you something”, Braxton tells me.
I tear up and give Brax a hug. I believe him that he thought I did a good job.
“Are you OK? I didn’t mean to upset you, please don’t cry”. Brax tells me.
“I am fine, I am just not used to a guy complimenting me. I have never exercised before, and I am overwhelmed by everything that has happened lately. I am glad that you feel I am doing a good job. I am really trying hard, and I am ready to learn everything that I can. Could you give me some tips on what to eat, for me to lose weight and get in shape faster?” I asked him.
“Sure Jade, give me your phone so I can put my number in it. I will text you what you need to eat to lose weight. Proteins, veggies, as well as snacks. As you lose, you will find that all the exercises that we just did will be getting easier to do and you will get more and more fit, very quickly. I really think that your wolf will let you do more than anyone else can in the same amount of time. Let me investigate the best diet for you, and I will text you the instructions later today. Also, if you want, we can start meeting in the weight room when you feel it is time to add that into the mix. I can make sure you get extra training time to optimize your weight loss. I am glad that you are making the decision to make yourself healthier”, Brax tells me.
I hand my phone over for him to add his information, and as he types, I ask if he could add Mason’s number as well.
“Sure, go ahead and give her my information, Brax” I heard from behind me. I turned and saw Mason walking up and I wondered how long he had been in the area, and where he had come from.
“Jade, I think you did a great job today. It is hard to exercise and keep up with this group, especially when you are carrying extra weight. I noticed you were here for the first class too. I saw you from the Alpha’s Office and you kept up. I was pleased that Brax asked you to try out the Elite class too. You did great on your first day. The Elite class is no joke and you managed to do the whole class. Three hours of exercise is a tough first day. Give it a month and it will be a LOT easier for you to do”, Mason says to me.
Brax looks at him and says “I went ahead and put your number in her phone and Jade was just asking me what she needed to eat to lose weight. I am going to research it and text her what she needs to eat for optimal weight loss. I believe that between the diet and exercise, could look totally different in just a few months. I agree with you, Mason. I am very proud of her for keeping up today in both classes, and for asking what else she can do to get where she needs to be as soon as possible. I think that when Spring Break gets here next month, Jade will be kicking butt and taking names”.
Mason nods and says “I can help with your training next month. I am a little busy right now with all the meetings we have scheduled, but when March gets here, I will pick up my weightlifting class again, and I hope you will want to join in. It is usually an all-male class, but I think you would get a lot out of it. There are several different classes that we have available here and it is valuable to try several of them, so you are a well-rounded fighter and as strong as you can be”.
“Thank you both, I appreciate all of the help you’re giving me. I would never be able to do this without you guys. I am so happy that I am here. My old pack would never have helped me. They are so angry at me right now, and I hope I never see any of them again. Wait, I guess I will have to see one of them again. I will have to go back to Howling Wolf to accept Calvin’s rejection. Apparently, I cannot accept his rejection over the phone”. I said to them.
They look at each other and Mason says “Yea, I am so sorry about that. We figured out quickly what had happened to you last night. What an asshole. If you need us to, we will go with you to the border of Howling Wolf for you to meet him, so you don’t have to worry about anything when you go. What do you mean that they are angry with you? How do you know that they are angry with you?”.
“Well, this morning when I got up, I saw I had 30 missed messages from Alpha Heir Eric, Calvin, my mom aka aunt Sylvia, and my brother’s now cousin, Jeremy. They are all threatening me with what will happen if I don’t immediately come back. I just told them all the same thing, that I am never returning and for them to lose my number”. I tell Mason and Brax.
