“The chair is cold.” Zuri didn’t seem to care to show her affection in front of Gayle and Dezgar, while the former looked uncomfortable, the latter seemed not to care, as if he had seen this kind of scene enough to numb him.
“I don’t know that you are this spoil.”
Zuri ignored Gayle, as she hugged Khaos and yawned. She acted weirdly, actually, Zuri was less aggressive than the last time Gayle was here.
He remembered Zuri killed Shadow and she was not sorry at all about it, but right now, she looked lethargic and calmer, which was a good sign.
However, knowing Khaos, Gayle was sure there must be something happening while he left and during the meal, Zuri actually fell asleep, where Khaos gently carried her in his arms out of the kitchen, leaving Gayle with Dezgar.
Only when they were alone, the gamma asked Dezgar about everything that had happened.
“What is it? What happened?”
For a moment, Dezgar thought about it, he was not sure whether he had to tell Gayle or not, but seeing Khaos was fine with Gayle back in the Great Palace, he thought it would be fine to tell him what actually had been planned.
“What the fuck…” Gayle was dumbstruck after he learned everything. He stared at the spot in front of him, where Khaos had sat down with Zuri on his lap, as if he still could see the two of them there. “You are not serious, right?”

The long march started from the Wolfdale Kingdom toward the Celeste kingdom. They had reached their final preparation and now they were ready for this war.
They were ready to bring this war to Khaos. The confusion from what Khaos decided to do before still lingered, but they decided to take the risk.
It was still a big question for them with the fact that all the warriors under the lycan left the Great Palace. It was actually the reason why the march was being held back for a few weeks.
However, after all of them discussed about it, they agreed this was the right time to attack Khaos.
Without all the warriors that surrounded the Lycan, no matter how powerful he was, they were going to take him down.
After all, more than three decades ago, the combined power of the Three Kingdoms managed to eradicate the old dynasty of the Lycan. That was why they knew it would work as well this time.
Two hundred thousand warriors were divided into four groups, which would be led by king Logan, King Eyren, Declan and Rhett. They would attack Khaos at the same time from all the corners.
No matter how fast Khaos was, he was alone. He wouldn’t survive fighting two hundred trained warriors and more so, they had come up with a vicious idea of how to take down the lycan.
Actually, it was Rose, who came up with the idea.
“Get to Zuri. She is his weakness. With how unstable she is right now, Zuri will be easy to deal with and Khaos will try to hide her. Once we got her, we will win this war.”
Rhett looked uncomfortable with the idea. Zuri would be hurt, no matter what the result of it.
Currently, Rose was five months pregnant, but she still didn’t want to let anyone knew about it. The information was too risky, especially in this sensitive situation like right now.

Sarah was Bryden’s mate and she just gave birth to their first child when Bryden was sent away from the pack in order to help Khaos to win the war against Dacre.
However, just like everyone already knew what happened to him, he was dead during the mission and it was actually Khaos who had killed him.
The lycan branded him as a traitor.
Yet, in Sarah’s opinion and also most of the pack member, her mate had done nothing wrong. He had done it for the sake of their goal and he was punished because he did the right thing. He was killed because he tried to correct what the lycan failed to do.
That was why when Sarah came to Caidan with their first born, she begged him to uphold justice for her mate…
“Please. Please lead the warrior and kill Khaos. I can’t live like this. I can’t be like this. He killed the person who had done nothing but for the sake of his own good. Someone, who was loyal to him. You need to avenge our loved one. Khaos had done us dirty. He killed your father! He killed my mate!”
Sarah became a little bit hysterical and Caidan was worried the baby would wake up.
“Ezra and Bryden had been supporting him all this time, but he killed them without holding back!”
Sarah came to the pack house to find Caidan. Without Khaos and Bryden and also Gayle, who had just been promoted to be the Gamma. It was very obvious that Caiden who held the power in this pact at this moment.
That was why if there was someone who could move the warrior and lead them to the war, it would be him.
“Sarah, I can’t do that.” Caiden looked at Sarah desperately.
“Why can’t you do that?!” Sarah looked agitated, she looked like she was going to cry while the baby in her arms moved uncomfortably, as if the little one could feel his mother’s despair.
Indeed, Sarah was desperate enough to urge Caidan to go into the battle.
“Please, please, you can’t do this. You know what he had done.” Sarah put her baby within Caiden’s line of sight and this made him felt under the pressure.
Yes, Caidan knew, but he simply couldn’t bring himself to do something to Khaos. He couldn’t do that. “We will not engage in the war, that’s not our war.”
“And then whose war is that? Don’t talk gibberish with me. Don’t tell me that’s not our war. You stand here instead of staying with Khaos, it means you have made your stand clear that you are against Khaos.”
Sarah had gone through so much. Probably, she was being bias here, but she hated everything that related to River Creek pack. If it was not for Bryden, who had killed one of the elders in that pack and saved her life, she wouldn’t have been here.
She dreamt of having a family on her own and she was so close to get it, until Khaos killed Bryden and her world shattered right now.
“Do you think by not taking side you will survive this? Caiden, don’t look at me. Look at my baby. My baby has not yet met his father and now he will never meet him and it’s because of chaos. It’s because his father had done the right thing. His father only thought about their lifelong goal, the main goal. Something that Khaos had forgotten since he indulged himself after he met with that woman. How could he kill someone who had been staying by his side through everything?”
Sarah was getting a little bit emotion right now. She felt this bitterness. She felt the pain in her heart. She still remembered clearly the agony she had to go through when she learned the death of Bryden.
“How could he kill someone who treated him like his own son? He wouldn’t have been able to survive this far without Ezra’s help and that’s how he repaid him. Your father is a good person. He only thought about what’s best for their goal and offending the lycan.”
“Sarah…”
Sarah shook her head, she had not done yet.
“All of this, should be more of Khaos responsibility than anyone else here. You do understand that right?”
Yes, Caiden did. Caiden did understand that. But, his stand still the same. He didn’t want to fight Khaos.
“I am sorry.”
Sarah looked heartbroken. The crestfallen look on her face would haunt Caiden for the rest of his life.
Apparently, not only Sarah but Mabel also came with the same request. She wanted Caidan to lead the warrior. She even pressured him to go to Three Deadly Ways and met with king Logan and queen Rose, joining them in order to take down Khaos.
