Life’s Spiced Up with Some Werewolf Reads

Chapter 181 – Lycan Prince’s Slave Mate (Madelyn & Jaxson) Novel Free Online by Jess

“We can talk all you want, it changes nothing” I smiled viciously at him “Now, how about you focus on what we’re here to do”

Ryker glared at me, but his rage was pointless. I would not let this b*tch get off after what she’d done to my girl, Blake looked at me with tears in her eyes, but that didn’t sway me either, she brought this on herself.

“Trouble in paradise?” Sky asked with a smile.

“Shut up, or I’ll have the healer remove your voice box before letting you out”

“You better hold up your end of the bargain” She shot back “I expect to be released”

“I don’t care what you expect, dog” Ryker growled “We keep our word, now shut up”

“I hope I’ll get to come visit my niece or nephew” She went on, despite the warning.

“Sedate the b*tch” I ordered “Her voice is grating”

“That wasn’t part of the deal!” She shouted, and tried to leave the bed, but the guards grabbed her and held her down.

“The deal changed, I guess you should have shut up” I commented, as the healer walked over to a fridge and pulled out a vile of liquid and a syringe.

Sky struggled against the guards, but the healer managed to sedate her, and she fell asleep cursing at us all out.

“Told you I’d find an excuse to knock her out, so it wouldn’t look staged” I turned to Ryker, with a smug smile “Take the dog back to her cell”

“Yes sir”

“Take your daughter and get her out of my sight” I stood up, and walked over the blood bag “Give it to me”

“Here you go sir” The healer passed me the blood bag.

“The witch is in interrogation room 4” Ryker glared at me, as he took his daughter out of the room.

“You better remember that you’re under house arrest, Blake” I warned her, as they headed to the doorway “You even step a single toe off your father’s estate, and I will have you hung in the square”

“I won’t leave” She sniffed sadly.

“Good” I responded “And we expect updates about this thing you’re carrying”

“My grandchild isn’t a threat” Ryker growled.

“It better not be” I told him, and left the room.

I linked my parents and Koda, to let them know we had the blood, but all my father told me, was to let him know the second the spell was done, and cut the link, but I stayed connected with Koda.

“So hows Madelyn going?” I asked, as I walked into the elevator “Has she mastered the slopes?”

“She’s so damn sexy taking the slopes” He answered, making me jealous that I had to work, while they were off having fun “She fell a few times, but”

“SHE FELL!?” I shouted, in panic “IS SHE HURT?”

“Relax Jaxson” He sounded breathless “She’s fine, she’s doing great, she really picks things up quickly, and you should you see the way she moves”

“Don’t make me think about the way she moves when I have sh*t to do” I complained “Although, maybe I should join you after the spells done”

“No” Koda snapped at me “She’s mine today, you’ll have her to yourself for days, just get back to work”

“Fine, but you’re leaving me too, you know, I should get to spend a day with my brother as well”

“Yeah, nice try” He laughed “Don’t use me as an excuse to spend time with Maddie, you jerk, we’ll see you later”

“Okay, fine” I smiled to myself “Worth a try, see ya”

I cut the link, and waited for the elevator to stop. Before I continued to the interrogation room, there were two guards waiting by the door, one of whom was Brighten, who avoided my gaze.

I laughed “Yeah, nice try” I shoved him playfully “You still owe me $500, when are you paying it back?”

Brighten and I played poker once a month. Koda wasn’t into gambling, but I loved cards, and last month, I had a perfect winning streak, and Brighten owed me big time.

“Your loaded, your majesty” He said pleadingly “Can’t you let it go just this once?”

“When have you ever let me off the hook?” I asked.

“But think of my children. I have more expenses than you”

“Children? You’re not even mated, let alone have kids” I laughed “Pay up at the next game”

“You know” He said slyly “A mark of a great leader is generosity, and you have a new mate. It would be an awful shame if she thought you weren’t generous”

I laughed and shook my head “I’ll worry about my mate, you worry about getting me my cash”

He sighed, and pushed the door open “Yes sir”

I smiled, and walked inside to find the witch setting up things on the table in the middle of the room. There was a large wooden bowl that looked a million years old, and had carved symbols in the wood. Some random bones, that I hoped came from animals that had died of natural causes, a wine glass, a map, and a black candle that smelt strangely of blood.

“Tamsin’ I greeted her “Thank you for coming”

“I owe your father” She responded, in annoyance “I wasn’t exactly given a choice”

Tamsin was one of the leaders in her coven, The sisters of the sacred garden, and my father had saved her life a few years ago, when her coven went to war with another, we stepped in to prevent further loss of life, and he reminded Tamsin often that she owed him, a fact that she hated, witches detested being in others debts, especially a life debt.

“Well, once you do this, you’ll be even, and you never have to worry about it again”

Tamsin looked up at me and frowned “I’d better not” She said in warning, before reaching out her hand for the blood I was holding.

The bangles on her hand rattled together at her movement. I always knew she was coming, you would hear her bangles jingling around before you saw her.

Tamsin was a very pretty woman, or at least she would be, if she wasn’t covered in bone necklaces, or feathers in her hair, or that dead mouse, she had clipped to her belt. I’d asked about it once, but she told me to mind my own damn business.

She had curly black hair and big beautiful brown eyes, and had a very nice body, but she hid it under her oversized dresses and coats, that smelt like sage and herbs.

I passed her the blood, and poured some of it into the bowl, along with some other herbs, bones and the map, before lighting the candle, and waving her hands over everything.

I watched in silence as her hands started to glow red, and the lights around the room began to flicker as she spoke in the language of her people.

The map started to sink into the blood as it glowed golden in the bowl, and then the blood started to bubble, and a disgusting burning smell filled the room, making me pull my handkerchief out and cover my mouth. Lycan’s had very sensitive senses, something a witch didn’t have to worry about.

After a few seconds, the blood bubbled away, and a golden map remained. There in the center of the map was a small glowing dot.

“It is done” Tamsin informed me, as she started to pack up her belongings into a black bag.
