Chapter 201 – Lycan Prince’s Slave Mate (Madelyn & Jaxson) Novel Free Online by Jess

I looked down the hallway to their office, but their guards weren’t their either, nor were Beta Coles.

“Is something wrong, Luna?” Molly gently touched my shoulder, but I quickly pulled away.

I still wasn’t comfortable being touched by anyone other than my mates.

“I’m sorry” She said quietly, and looked down.

“No, it’s okay” I assured her, it wasn’t her fault that I wasn’t used to being touched gently by strangers “Excuse me” I said to my guard, Alexander, who stood to attention.

“Yes, Luna?”

“Where are all the guards?”

He looked around the hallway and his eyes widened “I have no idea”

“I think someone’s in my office” I whispered.

“Please wait here” He placed his hand on his silver-encrusted sword, and walked past me.

“You need to contact our mates!” Ava demanded.

“Okay” I shushed her, before linking Jax “Jaxson, Koda”

“Yes, sweetheart”

“Where are you?” I asked them “Have you left yet?”

“No, we’re in our parent’s office, why?” Koda asked “We already told you that you’re not coming with us”

“No, it’s just” I paused, when I saw my guard leave my office looking annoyed.

“Madelyn?”

“Sorry” I said quickly “I came to my office, but there’s no guards anywhere, and someone’s in my office and”

“STAY WHERE YOU ARE!” Jax shouted “Where’s your guard?”

“He’s investigating, but he’s back now”

“Luna, it’s councilor Jordan” Alex told me “He ordered me out”

“What?” I walked around my guard, and linked my mates back “It’s councilor Jordan, he’s in my office for some reason”

“Jordan?” Koda sounded furious, but also very excited for some odd reason.

I pushed open the door and saw him rummaging around in one of my drawers at my desk.

“Excuse me!” I interrupted him, and he froze for a second, looking alarmed “May I help you?”

“Luna” He smiled fakely at me, and put down the books he was holding.

“Why are you in my office?” I asked sternly “Where are the guards?”

“That’s a good question!” Jaxsons furious voice rang out breathlessly, as he entered the office, he was taking deep breaths and his hair was windswept, he must have run all the way here “I told you to stay” He pulled me behind him, before looking back at Jordan.

“You better have a damn good explanation for this?” Koda growled, as he came in with the King, who also looked furious.

“What is going on here, Jordan?” King Theo growled “Who are you to send my guards away? Explain your actions”

Jordan looked around for a moment, before he looked at me angrily.

“I was looking for proof that the Luna’s having an affair”

“Excuse me?” Jaxson’s voice was low, and very menacing “Be very careful with your next words Jordan”

“I saw the incident on Saturday, when Cole cut her face” He told the room “Before Cole showed up, the Luna was openly flirting with that Beta, Noland, and when they bent over to pick up the books, I noticed that he slipped a note into one of her books, I was looking for the letter to prove that the Luna is betraying the twins”

“WHAT!” I shouted, and turned to my mates “He’s lying, I swear, I’ve never… I would never!”

“We know, baby” Koda touched my cheek.

“So do I” The King moved around us “WHAT ARE YOU REALLY DOING IN HERE?!” He used his command.

Jordan looked like he was struggling to fight the command but then he turned purple in the face, and blurted out “I’m looking for her mother’s necklace!” He shouted “Madelyn, already has enough power, and I know she has it, and she’s just like her mother, she’ll betray us all, and I really did that boy slip a note into one of her books, that’s all the proof I need to know she can’t be trusted!”

“You want to talk to me about trust when you’ve done all of this!?” King Theo shouted.

“What necklace?” Koda asked.

I felt my heart beating nervously, I hadn’t told the twins about the necklace I’d found in my mother’s room.

“Iyo used to wear a necklace from her mother” The King told us “But it went missing’

“Okay” Jax shrugged “So she had a necklace, big deal”

“It’s not just a necklace” Jordan spat angrily “It’s a powerful talisman with a pure Phoenix flame inside. In the wrong hands it can be used to destroy us all, and she has it!”

“No, I don’t” I lied, as I nervously played with my fingers.

“Look at her face!” Jordan pointed at me “She has it, I know she does!”

“If she does, it’s none of your business!” Jax shouted “It belonged to her mother, that makes it hers, and if Noland slipped a note into one of her books, it has nothing to do with our mate”

“Besides” Koda rolled his eyes “We’re with her most of the day, she doesn’t have time for an affair”

“I wouldn’t have an affair, even if I had time!” I defended myself, though I couldn’t help but remember that dream about him “And I never saw Noland put a note into one of my books”

“Who cares about a bloody note!” King Theo snapped, before turning back to Jordan “Even if she has the necklace, it’s not for you to take, especially not behind my back. Were you planning on keeping that power for yourself?”

“No, your majesty” The slimy jerk, lied. You could hear it in his voice that he wasn’t going to give it up “I was going to tell you once I had proof that she had it”

“How dare you go behind my back” The King growled “How dare you give orders to my guards.. GUARDS!”

Three men came in, looking massive and menacing, and I moved closer to my mates.

“Arrest councilor Jordan” The King went on “His orders are no longer to be followed, his rank is gone, and get me every guard he ordered away, and have them brought to the prison too. My sons and I are already on the way there. It appears we’ll have more beds to make up”

“Your majesty, you can’t be serious!?” Jordan protested, as the guards grabbed him by his arms “I was trying to protect us all!”
