I step out to walk back to the gate with Alpha Andrew and pass three men also standing near the guard shack, I don’t know if they are pack members as I am new here, so I just nod at them as I pass and head for the gate. I stand between Alpha Andrew and Bryan with Dixon right behind me and Mason and Brax flanking Alpha Andrew and Bryan. I feel safe, even looking out at Eric and Jeremy.
“Mom wants you to come back home. You should not have left we were worried about you as you packed up and left without telling anyone where you were going. Mom could barely sleep last night worrying about you. Thankfully she mentioned that Luna Monica had called and asked questions about you, so we knew you were here. Alpha Edmond then told us to come and get you. Go get packed and get your bike and we will follow you back to Howling Moon” Jeremy told me. He looked like he wanted to say something else but stopped and looked over at Eric.
Eric then said “You should have told us you were so unhappy at the pack. We would have made sure that you were taken care of. Just go get your things and we will get you straightened out when we get back to the pack.
I shivered as although the words sounded friendly, the underlying threat of what he was really saying was frightening and I knew I would not ever be leaving Howling Moon pack again if I did go with them. Bryan put his hand on my shoulder, and I felt stronger, I felt his support of me through him doing that simple act.
“I will not be going back with you. I am never going back to Howling Moon if I have a choice about it. I told you both this in the text this morning. Sylvia is not my mother, and Jeremy is not my brother. You have all bullied and abused me for years so what would possess me to go back there with you. I will only be returning to accept Calvin’s rejection for our bond to be broken, and that will be it. I don’t trust you, Eric, at all, and I know what you guys will do to me if I ever were to come back. Just leave and don’t come back here for me. This is my pack, and I am joining it tonight in a full moon ceremony”. I tell them.
Jeremy jumps towards the gate and gives it a hard push with both of his hands wrapped around two of the iron posts, yelling “Quit being such a bitch and get your shit. You are worthless and we both know that they don’t want you here. No one in their right mind would want a fat, stupid slut like you. You are embarrassing yourself and our pack. Just come on now, or it will be a lot worse for you Jade”.
Jade is gently pulled back from the gate by Dixon, and growling is heard coming from Alpha Andrew, Bryan, Mason, and Brax. I just stand there realizing that I am looking at my daughter and she was just threatened by those two idiots on the other side of the Gate. I step forward with my sons with thunderous growls coming from us. I will NOT allow them to speak to my daughter like that. I will rip their heads from their bodies. Alpha Andrew and his crew step back from the gate as we approach. The young Alpha Eric and the guy with him look terrified and they should be, they are about to meet the Goddess.
“I am Alpha Thomas Harris of the Dark Moon pack, and if you ever return here for Jade again, I will tear your pitiful pack apart and leave no one left alive in it. She is staying here and if you value your lives at all, NEVER return here”. My sons continue to growl thunderously loud as Alpha Heir Eric and the other man run away from the gate and jump into their SUV. They turn it around and speed off.
I turn around to see if Jade is okay. I see her looking at me in clearly confused saying, “I am sorry, do I know you? I appreciate you getting them to leave, but you don’t have to involve your pack in this. I hate that the Stone Moon pack has gotten into trouble from trying to protect me”.
Alpha Andrew steps up and says “How about we take this back to the packhouse everyone? We will get everything all cleared up there”.
We all pile back into the SUV and Dixon drives us back to the Packhouse, the SUV is totally silent. We all get out and Brax comes up to me and gives me a small hug and tells me “It is all going to be ok. You are here and you are safe. We are not going to let anything happen to you”.
Mason gives me a hug and tells me how proud he is of me for standing up for myself. He then walks over to Dixon and Bree and tells them that he is proud that even in an emergency that they kept level heads and did exactly the right thing to keep us all safe. Bree, Nicole, and Jessica are all still shaking from what we just went through and go over to Luna Monica and Aubrey to get comforted by them. Bryan puts his arm around my shoulder and tells me that we are going to go to the Office and will be speaking with the three men and lady with them. I don’t know why they defended me, but I appreciate it.
Dixon tells me that he is going to take my new clothes to the laundry area for them to be washed and then brought up to my room, but that he will take my shoes, belt, and my evening gown and new heels up to my room for me now, I reach out and hug him, and thank him for rescuing us all and keeping us safe. Thank the Goddess for Dixon because if it was just us girls out by ourselves, I am terrified to even think of what might have happened to me, and another shudder runs through me, and I take in a deep breath.
I head up to Alpha Andrews Office again with Bryan and Alpha Andrew, the other Alpha, and apparently his family, well they look like a family at least. I go ahead and take my seat next to Bryan in front of Alpha Andrews’s desk. The Alpha sits in the lone chair, and the lady sits down with the two younger men sitting on either side of her.
